But this cleansing foam is a game-changer! It effectively controls excess oil without causing any irritation or deep dryness. I love following up with The Riz moisturizer for a refreshing start to my day. I don't wear makeup often, so I'll be using this for my morning and evening cleanse. For those who do wear makeup, I'd recommend using this as the final step in your cleansing routine after removing eye makeup separately. I tested the foam's makeup removal capabilities on eyeshadow, mascara, and two lip products. Without using warm water, the first cleanse left some residue. The second attempt, with more pressure, removed most of it but left traces of mascara. I believe using warm water would improve its effectiveness. While the cleansing power isn't exceptional, it's not a major concern for me as I'll be using it on bare skin. However, if you're looking for a powerful makeup remover, you might find it slightly lacking. This is my second The Riz product, and I appreciate how gentle their line is. It's suitable for all skin types, even super sensitive skin. I highly recommend using this cleansing foam in combination with their moisturizer for a light, refreshing finish. The cream isn't heavy at all! - hj*******Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 29, 2025
It's delightfully rich and creamy! The cleansing effectiveness is impressive, and it seems to work wonders for my pores. I couldn't find any downsides - it's just great all around! There's no distinct fragrance, which makes it easy to use without any aversion. This cleanser appears to be a well-rounded product that effectively cleanses while being gentle on the skin. Its texture and performance are praised, and the lack of fragrance makes it suitable for those with sensitive skin or fragrance preferences. - bm***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

But thanks to its creamy foam texture, it's also hydrating, so your skin doesn't feel tight before you move on to the rest of your skincare routine. That's a big plus in my book! Unfortunately, it seems my skin didn't agree with it. I noticed some blemishes popping up while using this product. Such a bummer! Remember, everyone's skin is different. What works for one person might not work for another. If you have sensitive skin, it's always a good idea to patch test new products before incorporating them into your routine. - dl********Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Some leave my skin feeling unclean, while others strip away even my natural oils. However, this mildly alkaline cleansing foam has been a game-changer. It hasn't caused any blemishes or made my super sensitive skin react negatively. While the foam isn't as rich and creamy as whipped cream, it still feels luxuriously abundant. After use, my skin doesn't feel dry at all - I can finish my cleansing routine without any deep dryness. The product has a subtle, herbal scent, but it's not at all overwhelming when you're using it. In fact, I found it quite pleasant. It's gentle enough that I can use it for my morning cleanse without irritating my skin. Overall, this product has been a great match for me. One drawback is that it's not very effective at removing stubborn makeup like eyeliner or foundation in a single cleanse. I'd recommend using it as a second step in your cleansing routine, after removing most of your makeup first. Also, it contains some PEG ingredients, which might be a concern for those who are particularly sensitive to certain ingredients. - cs*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

First off, the packaging is so pretty that it's a joy to have in the bathroom - it lifts my mood every time I use it. I usually use a foam maker for cleansing, so the foam itself wasn't a big deal, but this cream foam is definitely special. It produces a rich, creamy lather that feels wonderfully soft and bouncy when applied to the face. I typically cleanse before bed along with my shower, and I like to massage the inside of my mouth while cleansing. I was pleased that it wasn't overly bitter if I accidentally tasted it. The rich foam removes makeup effectively, eliminating the need for double cleansing, which is great since I have super sensitive skin and try to avoid over-cleansing. The fact that it's mildly alkaline is another plus for my sensitive skin. The product performance is quite good, so I don't have any major complaints. If I had to mention one thing, the scent isn't particularly amazing, but that's not really important for a cleansing product. The price is reasonable too, so I'll likely repurchase. The rich, creamy lather is perfect for gently cleansing around the mouth area and massaging the inside of your cheeks. - ch*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 29, 2025
As someone with acne-prone skin who wears makeup daily and has been using this product for about two weeks, I'm quite particular about makeup removal and cleansing. I'm pleased to say that even with just a small amount, this cleanser produces a rich lather that gently cleanses my skin. Despite having dry skin, I don't experience any tightness after use. Personally, this has become one of my favorite foam cleansers - I'm absolutely thrilled with it! So far, I haven't found any drawbacks worth mentioning. It hasn't caused any blemishes, which is a big plus for me. - tu*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

That's when I discovered The Rhiz cleansing foam, and it's been a game-changer. Given my blemish-prone skin, I've always prioritized gentleness over cleansing power when choosing foam cleansers. So I was thrilled to find that this product is not only mild with its slightly alkaline formula but also impressively effective at cleansing. The satisfying clean feeling it leaves behind is just wonderful. I typically don't wear much makeup beyond base products, so I often skip double cleansing. I was concerned about whether this cleanser could effectively remove sunscreen, but I'm happy to report it does an excellent job. The name "The Rhiz" feels like it's helping me rediscover my skin's potential, which is a nice boost to my mood. I appreciate the quality ingredients, and I'm impressed by how little product is needed to create a rich, creamy lather. The gentle cleansing action leaves my skin feeling soothed and refreshed. As someone who's sensitive to strong fragrances, I'm also pleased that this cleanser is virtually unscented. After using this product for a while, I honestly can't think of any drawbacks to mention. - io******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Usually, I opt for a mild, low-pH foam cleanser. Since I rarely wear makeup, I've always believed that cleansers with strong cleansing power can exacerbate dryness and ultimately disrupt the oil and moisture balance of my skin, which is my top priority. So, I was a bit apprehensive when I first started using this product. Initially, I did notice it left my skin feeling slightly tighter compared to my usual low-pH cleanser. However, during the testing period, we experienced a sudden heatwave, and I found myself needing a cleanser with more cleansing effectiveness. This product rose to the occasion beautifully. First off, I'm prone to small blemishes, but during the time I used this product, my skin was noticeably calmer. Plus, as the product description promises, it allows for daily dead skin cell care. I could actually feel my skin becoming smoother, both during cleansing and in my regular skincare routine. While using this product, I realized that even though I don't wear much makeup aside from sunscreen, I might have needed a cleanser with better cleansing power for my evening routine. It turns out that ultra-gentle products aren't always the answer. While I was generally satisfied with the product, if I had to point out a downside, it would be the slight tightness I felt immediately after use compared to my previous low-pH cleanser. However, this tightness was notably less intense than with other strong cleansers I've tried before, allowing me to use it continuously without major issues. I especially recommend it for the hot summer months. On days when I don't wear sunscreen, and when I use mineral sunscreens, I cleanse with just this foam cleanser. However, when I use mineral sunscreens, I make sure to cleanse more thoroughly than on bare-face days. On other days, I always do a double cleanse. After all, I believe thorough cleansing is paramount in skincare. A small amount of this product, about the size of a 50-won coin, was sufficient for both single and double cleansing. It worked well whether I lathered it in my hands before applying or used a foam maker. - ki*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 29, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I tried this product for the first time after reading reviews from The Hwahae Testers, and true to what I'd heard, it left my skin feeling squeaky clean in just one use! However, this powerful cleansing action does come with some drawbacks... Contains PEG ingredients, which is disappointing While its strong cleansing power is a plus, it strips away not just impurities but also the skin's natural oils. Right after use, the squeaky-clean feeling is nice, but it leaves my skin feeling very dry and tight. This isn't a product for frequent use. However, it could be great for occasional use, especially after wearing heavy makeup! - cr*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 28, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Let me start with the bottom line: Despite having combination dehydrated skin that's prone to excessive sebum production, I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin's condition. I used to religiously stick to slightly acidic cleansers, believing the mantra "Skin is at its best when slightly acidic!" However, this product has changed my perspective. My routine consisted of water cleansing or a mild acidic cleanser in the morning, followed by this foam cleanser in the evening - and it worked wonders! I was initially worried because previous creams didn't suit me well, but this product has put those concerns to rest. It's such a relief to find something that works so well for my skin. It's become clear to me that those with overactive sebum production might benefit from slightly alkaline products. Surprisingly, my skin didn't feel overly dry after washing, though I did apply my skincare routine shortly after. The texture is a bit runnier than expected, with a slightly sticky consistency that can make the bottle opening prone to getting messy. Other than that, no major issues to report. For best results, dispense the product into your hands and work it into a rich, dense lather before massaging it onto your face. While you can add water with your hands to create the foam, using a cleansing tool would make the process even more convenient.
