It has a pleasant scent and, true to its "rice cake soap" name, it lathers up with a rich, creamy texture.
ConsDespite claims that it should be left on the skin like a mask, I didn't notice any significant difference. In fact, I found that gently massaging it while rinsing was more effective at removing dead skin cells. However, this benefit can be found in other products as well. Apart from its unique rice cake-like texture, I'm not sure it offers any special advantages.
TipWhile the product has some nice features, it doesn't seem to stand out significantly from other cleansers on the market. The exfoliating properties and pleasant scent are positive points, but the mask-like application doesn't appear to add much value. For those looking for effective dead skin cell removal, the traditional method of massaging while cleansing seems to work best with this product.

Not extremely moisturizing, but maintains some hydration. • Vegan cleanser. • Contains fine particles for gentle exfoliation. Helps remove dead skin cells.
ConsDrawbacks: • Jar packaging is inconvenient to use. • Despite being called a "rice cake soap," the texture isn't dough-like. More like a soft soap. Neither melts easily like a balm nor has a bouncy texture, so it may irritate skin if not used carefully. • Cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly strong. When used with oil, the particles can irritate skin. Actually experienced blemishes around the chin area after use.
TipFor occasional use. Lathering in hands before applying can reduce irritation. Didn't see major results for dead skin cell removal, but still using it regularly for evening cleansing.

The texture is definitely on the thicker side, which makes it feel like it's washing away oil and impurities more effectively than other products. I love how the little beads inside seem to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells too. After using this, my skin feels refreshed and almost bubbly!
ConsThe double lid design makes it a bit inconvenient to use, unfortunately.
TipThe cleanser's rich formula works hard to deeply cleanse while gently exfoliating, leaving your complexion feeling renewed and glowing. Despite its effectiveness, the packaging could be more user-friendly for a smoother application process.

It's definitely effective at removing dead skin cells. Compared to rosehip products, it leaves the skin feeling a bit more refreshed.
ConsHowever, I still felt an inexplicable warmth on my skin. Although it leaves a clean feeling afterwards, the overall experience wasn't pleasant for me. Also, the fragrance is overpowering.

My skin had been feeling quite dry lately, but in the evening after using this, my skin felt incredibly smooth. I was wondering what I had used - it was this product!
ConsThe fragrance seems a bit strong for my taste. I generally prefer foam cleansers with a milder scent, and this one smells quite artificial to me. However, after talking to others, I've realized that some people actually prefer this kind of scent. It seems to be a fragrance that people either love or hate.

The fixed end prevents it from falling off, making it very convenient. The scent is a delightful mix of herbal and fresh citrus notes, which I absolutely love. It contains almond seed powder and rice powder, creating a gentle texture. Surprisingly, it's not as abrasive as other scrubs, which is quite remarkable. Having super sensitive skin, I usually mix scrubs with foaming cleansers, but this one is so gentle I can use it on its own without any irritation. Despite being called 'Rice Cake Soap', it's not as sticky as the name suggests. It's more like a slightly viscous balm texture. My skin felt hydrated after use, and a small amount produces a rich lather. It seems to have cleared the sebum around my T-zone, refining skin texture and even fading blackheads.
ConsI was a bit disappointed that it didn't visibly clear out blackheads as dramatically as some scrubs do.
TipSince it comes in a jar, I'd recommend scooping out a small amount with the spatula before showering to prevent water from getting in.

Likely to be universally appealing. For daily use, I start by applying it with damp hands. When I need a deep cleanse, I leave it on as a mask for a few minutes before rinsing. First off, the beautiful packaging lifts my mood, and the scent is lovely! It has a rich texture without being irritating, and its cleansing effectiveness is great, so I think I'll use it well into summer. As you can see in the photo, there are visible particles, but they're not harsh or tingling! Of course, the sensation may vary depending on hand pressure, but it's gentle enough for everyone to use comfortably. When I used it, it wasn't irritating to my skin, and I think even those with blemish-prone skin could use it without issues. While it doesn't dramatically eliminate excess oil, it's great for gentle care without irritation. Above all, I love that if you remove point makeup with a separate remover, you can use Arencia to cleanse the rest of your face makeup! When I wore makeup, I only used Arencia without a separate second cleanse. I've been trying to simplify my cleansing routine lately, and I think this product is perfect for that!
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly disappointing! Since it's non-irritating, I think it would work well for all skin types.
TipI think it works great as a mask when used after showering, when the skin is a bit more supple.

Due to long-term dermatitis, I'm worried about small inflammation marks, enlarged pores, and redness. Product Details: • 120g size, priced in the early 20,000 won range on Hwahae • True to its name, it's a green, paste-like cleanser with small granules embedded • The scent is quite noticeable, but not off-putting My Experience: • This has become my holy grail cleansing product! In a short time, it visibly improved my skin texture and unevenness (see unedited photos from 4/4 to 4/16) • For morning cleansing, I use a foam net to create rich lather and gently wash - no irritation at all • In the evenings, I alternate between using it as a cleansing pack, with oil + foam net, or just foam net depending on my skin's needs • The cleansing pack method might be too intense for daily use if you have sensitive skin. I only used it 1-2 times a week as the granules can feel a bit harsh. However, this method is excellent for tackling sebum and uneven texture • It removes my makeup completely, even when I use it as a cleansing pack (though I only wear a thin layer of foundation)
ConsIf I had to pick a downside, it would be the fragrance. I personally prefer unscented products.
TipCleansing Pack Method: I followed the widely available instructions for using it as a cleansing pack. Apply it to your skin, wait 1-2 minutes, then gently massage while adding water. I used it similarly to how you'd rinse off a cleansing milk.

When scooped out, it's thick and creamy. When mixed with water and massaged, it creates a rich lather for a gentle cleanse. Scent: I loved the soft, soothing aroma reminiscent of matcha latte or mugwort latte. Experience: The abundant foam was great, and after rinsing, my skin felt incredibly soft. It left my skin feeling hydrated. While there was no irritation, it contains small particles that seem to help with dead skin cell removal. This might be a drawback for those who dislike exfoliating beads. I appreciated that it allows for a non-irritating cleanse while still being a deep cleansing product capable of thoroughly removing makeup.
ConsAs with most scoop-out products, since I use this as a second cleanser, it's a bit inconvenient to open the container and scoop out the product when my hands are already wet.

However, once it touched water, it produced a rich, creamy lather which was a pleasant surprise. The scrub particles are great for deep cleansing blackheads and uneven texture. While lathering in your palms works well, using a foam net would be ideal for an even gentler, low-irritation cleanse. ✅ Unexpectedly hydrating and soft finish Despite its scrubby and dense texture, I was concerned it might leave my skin feeling tight or dry due to its cleansing power. However, it left my skin feeling supple without any deep dryness or irritation. ✅ No blemish triggers As someone with sensitive combination dehydrated skin, I often experience breakouts or skin reactions when using the wrong foam cleanser due to disrupted oil and moisture balance. Happily, I didn't experience any new blemishes or skin irritation while using the Arencia Rice Soap. ✅ Aesthetically pleasing packaging While this might be subjective, I personally loved the package design. The different types of rice soaps are color-coded, making them easy to distinguish. The colors themselves are subtle and not too bright, making them a pretty addition to the bathroom.
Cons✅ May be too harsh for daily use As mentioned in the pros, the scrub particles might be too abrasive for daily use. It's recommended to use it 2-3 times a week or adjust according to your skin's condition. ✅ Fragrance might not be for everyone The scent is a unique blend of sweet fruit and cool herbal notes. This distinctive fragrance might not appeal to those who prefer unscented products. ✅ Hygiene concerns with jar packaging The jar packaging can be a hygiene issue. Since the product dissolves when wet, extra care is needed when using it in the shower. ✅ Requires double cleansing for makeup removal While it's not weak in cleansing power, it's not sufficient for thorough makeup removal. It feels more like a deep cleanser compared to regular foam cleansers, but for makeup days, you'll need to use an oil or milk cleanser first.
Tip- Using a foam net creates a richer lather for an even gentler cleanse. - A little goes a long way - be careful not to use too much! - Recommended usage: 2-3 times a week!
