Gives you that really clean feeling, you know? Plus, I loved that the scent wasn't overpowering. With those little exfoliating bits embedded in it, it seems perfect for anyone dealing with dead skin cells.
ConsI don't usually have sensitive skin, but after using this twice, my face suddenly went haywire... I hadn't had any major cystic acne in a while, but suddenly three popped up. Not only that, but my overall skin condition deteriorated significantly. I'm not sure about its cleansing effectiveness either. When I first used it, removing eye makeup separately beforehand was fine, but when I tried using it directly on my eye makeup, it didn't clean as well and left me feeling a bit unsatisfied. Of course, I might have used it incorrectly, but I followed the instructions to a T. The texture is so thick that it was a bit of a struggle to rinse off. I kept rinsing with water, but that slippery feeling just wouldn't go away.
TipIf you're using this for dead skin cells or blemishes, use a small amount and focus on specific areas! While it cleanses well and has those exfoliating particles, it can be a bit harsh, so those with super sensitive skin might see some breakouts.

It comes in a jar design with an included spatula. While tubes are generally more convenient, the thick and creamy consistency actually makes scooping it out easier to use. What's fascinating is that you can first use it as a mask, then add water to turn it into a cleansing foam! It gently removes light makeup like eye makeup or sunscreen. For heavier makeup, a double cleanse is definitely necessary. I love how it leaves your skin feeling moisturized after washing, not dry at all.
ConsIt doesn't remove mascara very well. When trying to remove eye makeup, some product can get into your eyes, which really stings. Even when it didn't seem like any got in, the eye irritation was quite severe. While the ingredients are good, this is disappointing.
TipFor those with super sensitive skin, it's important to be cautious when using this product around the eye area. The dual functionality as both a mask and cleanser is innovative, but may not be suitable for everyone, especially those prone to eye sensitivity. Always patch test new products and discontinue use if you experience any burning sensation or allergic reaction.

ConsOverall, it falls short of expectations. It's not as good as the viral hype suggests. 1. Irritating I have blemish-prone skin that's thin, prone to redness, and super sensitive. I didn't realize the product contained scrub particles, which proved too harsh. It's the most eye-irritating cleanser I've ever used. After using it, my face is a mess. No matter how gently I cleanse, my skin becomes extremely red and feels tight and stinging, as if it's being pinched. I've been constantly applying toner, serum, and cream for hydration, but the tight feeling persists. I finally managed to calm it down with a modeling mask. 2. Ineffective as a pack I bought it because it's a pack cleanser, but following the instructions to lather it slightly and use it as a pack yielded no results. It didn't remove any blackheads, and I even developed dead skin cells. 3. Cleansing power doesn't live up to the marketing I only wear cushion foundation, and they claimed I wouldn't need cleansing oil or milk. But when I used this for my first cleanse, it didn't remove everything completely. Foundation remained around my nose area. (To remove it thoroughly, I'd need to rub more, but that would likely irritate my skin.) Also, it's too harsh to use as a second cleanser.
TipBefore use, mix the top part to achieve a paste-like consistency for application.

ConsUnfortunately, soon after using it, my skin starts tingling and turns red. Such a shame!
TipOh, and brush your teeth before washing your face with this.

Even a small amount produces plenty of lather.
ConsAlthough I don't usually have super sensitive skin, I bought this despite the exfoliating particles. Unfortunately, it caused hives around my eyes and cheeks. I've never had hives like this before, only the occasional blemish, so I was quite shocked. Right after using it, my face turned red and I felt a burning sensation, which clearly shows it's not suitable for me. Also, if it gets in your eyes, the tingling is almost unbearable. Those with sensitive skin should reconsider using this product.
TipThis product is meant to be used by massaging it onto dry skin before adding water. However, the friction from the particles feels too harsh this way. I think it might be better to use it with water right from the start to reduce irritation.

Texture: True to its name 'Rice Cake Soap', the texture is really firm. Using a spoon, I scoop out a fingernail-sized amount and lather it with water in my hands. It creates a rich, dense foam! A small amount goes a long way in producing abundant lather. Cleansing effectiveness: I use it alone when I'm not wearing makeup, and as a second cleanse after using a cleansing balm or oil when I am. It effectively removes cleansing balm and oil residues without over-cleansing or leaving any oily feeling behind. It strikes the perfect balance in cleansing power. Skin texture and sebum control: After cleansing with this soap, my skin feels soft and smooth. It seems to cleanse sebum thoroughly too. While it may not remove deep-seated blackheads or sebum, it does a great job of clearing surface oils. Overall, I'd say it ranks highly among cleansing products for improving skin texture and sebum control! Fragrance: The scent is absolutely divine! I'm usually sensitive to fragrances and prefer unscented products, but this might have the best scent among all cleansing products I've tried. It lifts my mood every time I wash my face! Packaging: The double lid allows for spatula storage, which is slightly inconvenient but ensures hygienic use. Plus, the container is so pretty! Whoever designed it has great aesthetic sense - it might be the most beautiful among cleansing products. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product!!!
ConsBlemishes...? While I occasionally get small bumps from using the wrong cleanser, I hadn't experienced that with this one. However, after using it for a few days, I noticed several pustular blemishes appearing. That said, my skin sometimes develops multiple pustular blemishes depending on its condition, so I'll need to observe a bit longer.
TipWhen I want a gentle cleanse, I use just a tiny bit of the Rice Cake Soap and mix it with plenty of water to create a soft foam. Even a small amount produces abundant lather!

My skin is sensitive and acne-prone, and I sometimes get painful, hard blemishes too. Firstly, the scent was a subtle mugwort fragrance, not too overpowering. I was a bit concerned about irritation due to the abundance of scrub particles. I applied it thickly like a mask, waited for about a minute, then emulsified it. I was surprised that it didn't rinse off easily. Feeling like I needed to double cleanse, I followed up with a cleansing gel. Unfortunately, I still experienced some irritation, which was disappointing.
ConsThe day after using the product, I developed several small bumpy blemishes. I don't think I can use it again. The ingredients seemed fine, so I'm not sure what caused my skin to react this way.
TipTry applying it like a mask and washing it off after 2 minutes.

I had seen it in ads and heard reviews praising its cleansing effectiveness, so my expectations were high. At first, it feels thick, but after working it in my hands a bit, it transforms into a stretchy, mochi-like texture. The scent might seem a bit artificial to some, but it's not off-putting. What's great is its cleansing power - it seems to remove most makeup effortlessly!
ConsI tend to have super sensitive skin during seasonal changes, which I momentarily forgot about. I used this as my first cleanser due to its strong cleansing effectiveness, but it resulted in contact dermatitis around my eyes. The granules felt a bit too harsh for my skin.

They also include a spoon, which you can see in the second photo. It's excellent at removing excess sebum and you can really feel it refining your skin texture. True to its reputation as a 'dduk soap', it's great at removing blackheads.
ConsFor those with sensitive skin, it was more irritating than expected and caused some blemishes to appear. The spoon provided for scooping the product was less convenient than anticipated.
TipMake sure to follow a thorough skincare routine, and especially for those with a compromised skin barrier, use this product sparingly and only on areas with a lot of blackheads and excess sebum.

However, it might not be ideal for those with super sensitive skin. As one of The Hwahae Testers, I received the Arencia Fresh Cleanser Soap Bar (Green) and I'm sharing my honest review after using it for a few days. Initially, I was intrigued by its unique soap bar form, but it exceeded my expectations with its good lather and impressive cleansing power. I usually wear light makeup or just sunscreen, and I was pleased that it cleaned thoroughly without leaving any residue, even with just one use.
ConsHowever, as someone with sensitive and acne-prone skin, I experienced a slight tingling sensation after use. Especially on my cheeks and chin, I felt an intense dryness and tightness immediately after cleansing.
TipIt's a good idea to keep a soothing cream or light moisturizer in the refrigerator and apply it after cleansing for quick skin calming. This combination works well.
