It seems thin, but it applies so smoothly and evenly. This is truly a must-have item! I usually avoid sunscreen because I hate the sticky feeling, but this one has absolutely no stickiness. Even after applying makeup, there's no pilling. I have extremely dry skin, but with just this and some lip color, I look like I've done a full face of makeup. It's become my go-to product! There's nothing to complain about. It works perfectly for me. - eg*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 6, 2025
I highly recommend this sunscreen! It doesn't have that typical greasy feel at all. The emulsion texture leaves a refreshing finish, and there's absolutely no white cast. I'm using it with complete satisfaction. I don't have any complaints so far. I'm using it with satisfaction! - hr****Combination SkinApr 16, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Simply shaking it moderately doesn't mix the separated formula. When I first dispensed it, I thought it had gone bad. 2. It has that distinctive silvery sheen and white cast typical of older sun serums. 3. There's no primer-like feel to it. 4. It leaves that characteristic dry, chalky feeling of sunscreen on your fingertips. Personally, this sun protection product's texture didn't suit my preferences. - rh****Normal SkinRecommendedMar 26, 2025
The texture feels airy like velvet, without any dryness! I absolutely loved it. It seems perfect for summer, and when I apply cushion foundation over it, it seems to adhere even better. While there's nothing to complain about, just remember to shake it well before use. It's a product that needs to be shaken. - xl*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 25, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The Texture: It's a sun serum that needs to be shaken before use, so it flows like water. I applied it quickly with my fingers right after dispensing, but if you find it tricky to control, you might prefer dotting it on your cheeks before spreading. The Feel: When applying, it feels like a milky emulsion with a hint of very light oil, but it's not sticky. It becomes velvety smooth quickly. Applying it just feels good somehow. Those with extremely dry skin might need to layer hydration underneath, but for others, this could be your holy grail...? It doesn't dry out your skin, but leaves just the right amount of thin moisture and makes your skin feel super soft. I've always prioritized sun protection and have tried many richer sunscreens, but I'm seriously considering settling on this one, no joke.... I nearly fell out of my chair when I learned it also blocks blue light! I always wear contact lenses, and as a test, I wore only this sun serum without any other makeup, and experienced no eye irritation. Great stuff! The Pros: No wonder everyone's calling it the Hwahae-approved sun serum.... I understand why their first promotional claim was 'makeup that doesn't break down'. I work outdoors all day, and this provides good sun protection, balanced hydration, and even though I have combination skin... even in windy conditions, it neither dried out my skin nor made it feel greasy. It doesn't apply thickly, feels velvety, and doesn't cause foundation to pill... Even when I pat concealer all over my cheeks, it looks thinner than with other sunscreens. It's so good... It kind of... makes my skin look better. Plus, it's certified reef-friendly, so I can use it without worrying about coral reefs. I've tried various Cosrx lines including their toner, and none of their products feel heavy, sticky, suffocating, or incompatible with makeup...? They all seem to be very gentle products. Overall, they all have a fresh feel. I gain more trust in them with each use. I've even repurchased some products after trying them as a tester. They have quite a few products with panthenol, and this sun serum is packed with trehalose for intense hydration. Honestly, I've been using a famous D brand sunscreen for a very long time, but I'm switching to this for makeup days at least. Thank you for creating such a great product! There aren't many Hwahae-approved sun products that are matte but moisturizing.... I'll be using this well while working! Some might find the watery texture difficult to handle, but it applies so lightly, locks in moisture, feels velvety, doesn't cause makeup to pill, and seems especially great for summer! I really like this.... I'm not sure what else I could find fault with, but maybe... the packaging? But given that it needs to be shaken before use, a tube wouldn't work either, so I'm satisfied! For those with extremely dry skin, the oil content might be a bit lacking, so make sure to layer your toner multiple times and keep your skin well-hydrated! - kp****Combination SkinRecommendedMar 25, 2025
True to its name 'Airy Sun Serum', this product has an incredibly lightweight texture and finish! The fluid consistency absorbs quickly, and it applies smoothly just like a skincare ampoule. I love how it feels weightless on the skin, without the typical heavy feeling of sunscreens. It's as if you're not wearing anything at all. Usually, when I apply sunscreen and then base makeup, the oiliness causes clumping and makes my base break down faster (which is why I often skipped sunscreen... oops). However, this product seems to work like a primer, smoothing out my skin texture beautifully. About 30 seconds after application, it leaves a soft, matte finish with a subtle glow. When I apply my base makeup over this, my skin looks absolutely stunning! At first, I didn't realize you had to shake it before use, so I was surprised to see product separation. Once I figured out it needed to be shaken, I gave it a good shake, and it came out perfectly blended! - s1*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 25, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As time passes, it adheres to the skin, the initial oiliness disappears, and it feels slightly drier It's too rich... It really feels like oil, so I think it might be challenging for those who don't have dry skin I can't use it on my face, so I'm occasionally applying it to my neck! Also, if you squeeze it without shaking, the liquid inside comes out separated. Make sure to shake it well before use! +25.4 update/ It works so well on my neck! When I shake and mix it before use, it seems less sticky, and above all, it's so smooth that I apply it to my neck daily! - yu*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 24, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

My skin lacks moisture so badly that I experience deep dryness, and it really doesn't get along with oils. Even in winter, I only use gel creams or mix hydrating creams with medicated barrier creams. If there's a problematic ingredient, I can easily spot it because blemishes appear right after washing my face in the evening. I didn't encounter any such issues with this product. The ingredients pass the test. I previously used a sunscreen with brightening effects and mixed UV filters (Huxley's apricot-toned sunscreen). Compared to that, this product seems to create a better canvas for concealer and foundation application. It feels like a moisturizing, rich product that helps makeup adhere better. Though it's a sunscreen, it works great as a makeup base that enhances cosmetic application. Oh, it reminds me of a modified version of the Cezanne base I usually buy in Japan, but with added hydration and a more seamless finish! Those who liked that product will likely find this one suits them well. It's definitely too rich for oily skin types. I can't call it 'airy' at all... For a sun serum, it absorbs much worse than mineral sunscreens. My usual sunscreen routine involves applying skincare (3 layers of toner, hydrating ampoule, hydrating essence, and a nearly oil-free emulsion), waiting 2-3 minutes, then quickly spreading sunscreen on my face, letting it dry for 30 seconds, and patting it in. With this one, even after 8 minutes of applying it, it just sits there making me think, 'What are you doing?' I have to use a cushion puff to pat it in vigorously to get it to absorb (which is very annoying). The feeling on the skin is a strange lukewarm sensation, as if there's a layer of oil on your face. As I mentioned in my skin description, I need minimal oil, but this was too much for me. (I even gave away the Cezanne base I mentioned earlier to a friend with dry skin after using it once...) For normal skin types, it might feel moisturizing and slightly oily. For dry skin, it might create a pleasant, hydrating barrier. But it didn't work well for me. In my opinion, it's difficult to use in a busy daily routine. It's okay for special occasions when you have time for full makeup. As I mentioned before, the makeup application after using this is satisfactory. Apply it after your usual skincare routine, spread it on your face, and then pat it in with a cushion puff. Concealer will be your best friend! It works well with this product. Recommended for normal to dry skin types. Since there are no ingredient issues, it should be fine for blemish-prone skin too. Not recommended for oily skin or those who don't do well with rich, moisturizing creams. - 19******Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 24, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I love that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin when applied after my nourishing skincare routine! It feels like it creates a thin, lightweight protective layer. Being airy, it doesn't provide coverage or color correction, which made me curious about the brightening moisturizer version too! This will be perfect when the weather gets warmer and sweatier. The shake-to-use liquid formula is great for applying over large areas like the neck, shoulders, and limbs, making it ideal for summer prep! I'm familiar with shake-type products from when Japanese cosmetics were trendy, so I appreciate that a few shakes and about a coin-sized amount is enough for face and neck. The liquid texture is also a huge plus as it eliminates any worries about stickiness. During the dry, polluted weather of early March, I applied this in the morning, but by afternoon, the skin around my mouth and cheeks in the drier areas started to crack. That was disappointing. I'll need to use a cream-type product on the U-zone that tends to get dry. Before my skin started to crack in the afternoon, I reapplied the product and sprayed a rich mist over it, which helped! - ye*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessMar 24, 2025Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I had high hopes after hearing it was lightweight, but it felt more like a sun serum with high oil content. The texture is water-like, and you need to shake it well before use! It applies very easily and smoothly in a lightweight manner. My sister, who has normal skin, said she liked how light it felt! As I have combination dehydrated skin, I felt some deep dryness after applying it. Also, perhaps due to the excess oil or ingredients, my skin had a negative reaction. I'm not sure if it really adheres well to the skin to create a good base for makeup. When I only applied this sun serum and powder, it clumped with the oil and wasn't great. When I applied makeup, it seemed like the makeup was just sitting on top of my skin rather than blending in... Hmm, I usually apply toner and moisturizer before sunscreen, but with this product, it seems to adhere better to the skin if you skip the moisturizer step!
