I've been eagerly waiting for a green sunscreen to come out, so I immediately applied to be a Hwahae Tester without even checking the ingredients. I've always had redness on my face, so I've been anticipating a green mineral sunscreen for a while. First, let me describe my skin type. I have dry combination skin. It's generally dry, but there's a bit of oiliness in the T-zone. Moisturizer alone isn't enough to combat the dryness, and I need just a touch of oil to keep my skin from feeling parched. However, if there's even a bit too much oil, I break out immediately. Now, let's go through my review step by step: 1. Application It spreads smoothly without feeling thick. There's a slight jelly-like, fluid texture to it. 2. White cast The white cast is moderate, not excessive. Since it's non-nano, you don't need to use a lot, but one pump isn't quite enough for adequate coverage. Two pumps seem to be just right. 3. Gentleness This product feels gentle on the skin. However, there's an inexplicable feeling of heaviness. I mentioned earlier that it has a jelly-like texture, which might be related to this sensation. I'll elaborate on this in the cons section. 4. Redness coverage This was what I was most excited about. To sum it up, "It's not completely ineffective, but don't expect the level of coverage you'd get from a makeup base or color-correcting concealer." I noticed that the redness coverage varied depending on the environment: In cooler conditions, one pump covered about 40% of the redness, while two pumps covered 60-70%. However, in hot and humid environments, one pump only covered about 10%, and two pumps about 40%. This might change as the product settles into the skin over time, but I usually applied makeup right away, so I couldn't assess the long-term effects. 5. Dryness One characteristic of mineral sunscreens is that they can be drying. However, this product felt less drying compared to others. (That's not to say it feels hydrating, though.) After about 9 hours, there's an inevitable tightness to the skin, but even that was less intense than with other sunscreens. If the tightness of bare skin after not washing your face is 100, this would be about... 30? 1. Oiliness Before I explain this part, I should briefly mention my skincare routine. As I said earlier, I have dry combination skin that needs a bit of oil, so I don't use products that are too rich. When I first used this product, I applied it with my hands after my usual skincare routine. It felt a bit oilier than I expected. But since my cushion foundation had been reformulated to control oil, I wasn't too worried and applied it as usual. However, that day, my makeup would come off with just one wipe of my nose due to the excess oil on my face. So on my next day off, I tried it again with my regular skincare + applying the sunscreen with my hands. The oiliness was still there... But I remember it settled down after about 3-4 hours. Then I tried using a hydrating gel cream + applying with a puff. This definitely felt less oily than applying with hands, but after 4-5 hours, my skin started to feel dry. Finally, I tried my regular skincare + applying with a puff, and this combination worked quite well. I've been using it this way since. If you're only using sunscreen, I'd recommend using a moderately rich cream and applying with a puff. If you want more coverage, you could add a cushion foundation or a green concealer like the one from Daiso. 2. Heaviness There's a slight, inexplicable feeling of heaviness on the skin when applied. I described it as having a jelly-like, fluid texture, and I think this contributes to the heavy feeling. However, it doesn't seem to clog pores. I didn't experience any breakouts due to excess oil or clogged pores. If you were hoping for a foundation-free alternative, this might not be the best choice. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
As someone with extremely dry, sensitive skin prone to acne on the chin, I've been using this sunscreen every morning for about ten days. I usually opt for lightweight, fluid sunscreens like sun serums or essences. So when I won this as part of the Hwahae Testers program, it had been quite a while since I'd tried a thicker consistency. My skin is so dry that even after completing my skincare routine and applying sunscreen, I'd still need to spritz on mist throughout the day. Ironically, it wasn't until I started using this ABIB sunscreen that my dryness was finally under control! I'm quite picky about skincare due to my sensitive skin, but I've loved ABIB's Heartleaf and Crème Resurrection lines before. So I didn't even bother reading the product description before diving in. The formula has a light green tint, which made me wonder, "Is this a brightening moisturizer? But it's not evening out my skin tone... The texture seems thicker than what's trendy these days." It wasn't until I came to write this review that I realized it's a mineral sunscreen! How silly of me. Zero eye irritation, zero blemishes, skin feels comfortable, and no dryness. But what surprised me most was how smoothly it applies, unlike typical mineral sunscreens! After 10 days of use, I initially gave it 4 stars. But once I realized it was a mineral sunscreen, I bumped it up to 5 stars. It's an incredibly satisfying sunscreen for those with extremely dry and sensitive skin. The formula is quite rich, which worked well for my dry skin. However, those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy. Also, unlike the trendy sun serums and essences that absorb instantly, this takes a bit more time to blend in compared to hybrid or chemical sunscreens. That said, I appreciated how it left no white cast and felt comfortable on my skin. Since my skin's dryness was addressed at the skincare and sunscreen stage, I actually noticed less oil production in the afternoon! I suspect my skin was overcompensating with oil due to dehydration before. If you have dry skin, definitely give this a try! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 3, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, acne-prone, visible pores in T-zone Smooth application: Unlike most mineral sunscreens that feel thick and heavy, this one surprised me with how smoothly it glides on. It's much more pleasant to apply than I expected. No eye irritation: Some sunscreens tend to melt and sting my eyes, but I haven't experienced any discomfort with this one. It held up well during indoor workouts without causing any issues. I'll need to test it during outdoor activities to see how it performs. Natural tone-up effect: I love how it evens out my skin tone naturally. It doesn't leave a ghostly white cast, which means it doesn't interfere with other makeup application or create patchy areas. Good ingredients and value: The ingredient list is quite impressive, and when it's on sale, you can snag it for under $20. That makes it an affordable option for regular use. Most importantly, it didn't cause any blemishes, which is a huge plus for me. Pore appearance: As someone with combination skin that's oily on the surface but dry underneath, I noticed my pores in the T-zone became slightly more noticeable over time. However, I believe this is more due to my skin condition rather than the product itself. Overall, I didn't find any significant drawbacks or disappointments with this sunscreen. This sunscreen seems to work hard to protect the skin while providing a natural brightening effect. It's particularly suitable for those with super sensitive skin or acne-prone skin types. The fact that it doesn't cause irritation or allergic reactions is a major selling point. For those looking to incorporate this into their daily skincare routine, it appears to layer well with other products, contributing to that sought-after "Inner Glow" without feeling sticky or causing pilling. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJun 3, 2025

Since summer started, I've been dealing with sudden redness and atopic dermatitis, leaving my face red. With my acne-prone skin, I've been searching for soothing products. I recently bought two sunscreens, but they either emphasized dead skin cells, felt too rich, or had an overwhelming scent. Ugh! So even though I had just purchased sunscreens, I was on the hunt for another one. After applying this one, I didn't get a single blemish! Not one! There's no noticeable fragrance, and it absorbs like a dream - so creamy! Plus, my complexion looks slightly brighter! Unlike other products that smell like old-fashioned cosmetics or highlight flaky skin, this one doesn't do that at all! While it's a light green cream, don't expect it to cover redness. It has a smooth application, but it's not ideal for summer use... Personally, I'll pass because it makes my skin feel oily.... At first, using this sunscreen was a bit tricky. I kept pressing the pump, but nothing came out - it was frustrating. Also, when the cap is closed, I sometimes forget and just try to open it... causing the product to spill out suddenly. It took me a while to get used to it, haha... This might work better for combination dehydrated skin or oily skin types during seasonal changes or winter! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJun 2, 2025

I've been using this for a week now. Usually, I apply sunscreen with a puff due to its heaviness, but with Abib's product, there's hardly any heavy feeling. I can apply it with my hands without any residue. This made me realize I don't really need to use a puff with this one. What's more, it's so lightweight that you can't even feel it on your skin, making it comfortable to wear throughout the day. If you apply it after thorough moisturizing, it can feel a bit greasy and like it's sitting on top of the skin. It feels fresh and nice when applied after light moisturizing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 29, 2025
For combination skin with uneven texture, redness, and sensitive thin skin: ✔️Minimal white cast ✔️Moisturizing + Smooth application Overall: A versatile, no-fuss product for everyday use! I usually don't wear makeup when I go out, just sunscreen. With mineral sunscreens, there's always a risk of looking like a ghost if you're not careful. But this product doesn't leave much of a white cast, which I really appreciate. It's my first time using a pump-type sunscreen, and even when I accidentally over-applied, the white cast wasn't overwhelming. So even if you mess up the amount a bit, it's still forgiving. The cream has a slight green tint, but it's invisible once applied. It just gives a natural brightening effect. And it's incredibly hydrating! The moisturizing formula makes for easy application. While it's not completely lightweight, it's remarkably smooth for a mineral sunscreen. After application, you're left with a natural, dewy glow. As a bonus, like many mineral sunscreens, it seems to have a slight skin-perfecting effect, making your complexion look more even. The scent is a bit... I'm not sure if it's the houttuynia cordata, but it's not the typical mineral sunscreen smell. It's more of an odd, though not unpleasant, scent. Fortunately, it's only noticeable when you first pump it out and fades once applied. While it starts off feeling moisturizing, over time it can feel a bit greasy. My previous mineral sunscreen was less hydrating initially, but it blended nicely with my skin's natural oils over time for a natural glow. This one, however, can look a bit too shiny or oily as the day goes on. Additionally, after a while, it tended to leave a white residue around the sides of my nose. When choosing a sunscreen, it's important to consider your skin type and daily activities. While this product has many positive attributes, those with oily skin or those who spend long hours outdoors might want to test it thoroughly before committing. Remember, the best sunscreen is the one you'll use consistently, so find one that works well with your skin and lifestyle.
