- Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
A lightweight yet hydrating brightening moisturizer with SPF ✔ Texture and application The consistency is neither too thick nor too runny, making it easy to apply and spread evenly! It adheres well to the skin, perfect for a quick morning application! ✨ ✔ Staying power Throughout the day, it maintains its appearance without becoming greasy, leaving white residue, or rubbing off when lightly touched. It stays beautifully intact just as applied! ✔ Natural brightening effect It brightens the complexion by about half a shade without looking overly white or artificial. I've been using it successfully as a foundation-free product! ✔ Gentle on skin My skin doesn't feel itchy, and it remains comfortable all day long! Not recommended for those seeking a dramatic brightening effect! It truly brightens your skin in a natural, skin-like way! To say it makes your skin "white" wouldn't be accurate...! I'm absolutely loving this as part of my daily routine! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I've been consistently impressed with Abib products, and this one definitely lives up to my expectations. It's become a brand I trust wholeheartedly. This sunscreen meets all my needs perfectly. It doesn't feel like it's just sitting on top of my skin, which makes me reach for it often. The texture is just right - not too runny or too thick! It applies so smoothly that there's hardly any difference between the areas where I've applied it and where I haven't, making it ideal for a no-foundation look. The best part? As a daily-use product, it's incredibly gentle and doesn't cause any blemishes, which is a huge relief! I'd highly recommend this mineral sunscreen to anyone looking for a comfortable option that doesn't cause irritation or leave a noticeable film on the skin. There weren't any significant drawbacks, but if I had to nitpick, the cap sometimes separates a bit too easily when opening. However, you can avoid any product spillage by making sure to squeeze out the excess air before closing it tightly. In summer, I always dust powder all over my face after applying sunscreen. With this product, even with that routine, there's hardly any pilling because it's not overly rich. It works beautifully! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
My skin type is combination - dry on the cheeks and combination dehydrated in the T-zone! 1. Color The light green color does a great job neutralizing redness around the nose area, which I love! It also provides a slight brightening effect, making it suitable for a foundation-free look. 2. Texture Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it's remarkably less thick than other products! Even on my dry cheeks, it applies smoothly and feels creamy and moisturizing. However, it leaves more of an oil-like film rather than a hydrating one, which might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. 3. Ingredients I felt more confident using this product knowing it contains non-pore-clogging ingredients and is safe for sensitive skin. I have super sensitive skin that stings even with water, but this product didn't cause any irritation and was truly gentle! There was no eye irritation or skin sensitivity, allowing for worry-free skincare. However, if you're sensitive to Houttuynia cordata, make sure to patch test on your wrist before applying it to your face! 4. Suitable for water activities I didn't know this before, but apparently this product excludes ingredients harmful to coral reefs! (When swimming in the ocean, using just any sunscreen can harm marine life.) It's a two-in-one sunscreen that protects both the environment and your skin when snorkeling or swimming! Based on other reviews, many people found the pump dispenser inconvenient! I didn't have any issues, perhaps because I kept the pump facing downwards. When I first used it, pressing the pump about 3 times dispensed the right amount. However, the fragrance has that typical sunscreen scent, reminiscent of pool chlorine - you know what I mean. The scent was a bit disappointing. As the weather got warmer, I tried combining this Abib sunscreen with a semi-matte foundation. Right after application, my skin looked smooth, which was great! But a few hours later, I was shocked to see the product settling into each pore around my nose area. It seems that being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't pair well with matte bases! This product would likely work better with dewy foundations or cushions, so keep that in mind. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I have thin skin that's sensitive to external irritants. My skin type is generally what you'd call combination dehydrated. Especially, my skin is extremely sensitive to sunscreens. ☀️ 1 Texture For a sunscreen, it has quite a runny consistency. As emphasized on the product page, its application is truly exceptional. ☀️ 2 Application & Absorption Perhaps due to its texture, it's not thick at all and applies very smoothly. You know how sometimes sunscreens can be stiff and hard to spread, which can actually cause irritation? Well, with this sunscreen, you absolutely don't need to worry about that. While it has the oiliness typical of sunscreens, it absorbs well enough that unless you're expecting a matte finish, the richness isn't bothersome. ☀️ 3 Ingredients This sunscreen emphasizes three main points: [Gentle, Pure Inorganic UV Filter Mild Sunscreen] 1. Adheres gently 2. Non-nano zinc oxide 3. Heat stress protection What I particularly liked was the heat stress relief and soothing ingredient [Houttuynia Cordata]. Everyone knows Abib is famous for their Houttuynia Cordata line, right? As I mentioned before, I have super sensitive skin when it comes to sunscreens, but I felt more confident using this because of Abib's trusted Houttuynia Cordata line. Sometimes you find sunscreens that absorb well and set nicely, which feels good at first, but then they end up clogging your pores and combined with the heat from UV rays, create the worst skin condition. The biggest advantage of this product seems to be that it avoids that issue by making good use of its ingredients and texture characteristics. Looking at the ingredients, if you're like me - sensitive to clogged pores and prone to blemishes - and you're on a quest for the perfect sunscreen, I'd recommend giving this a try. ☀️ 4 Packaging It comes in a tube with a pump dispenser. Full marks for hygiene. The downside is the pump tube packaging... While it's good for hygiene, it's somewhat difficult to get the product out. I've used it about 4-5 times so far, and it feels like you have to shake it vigorously to get it out properly. That's a bit inconvenient, so I think it would be better if it came in a regular tube. With sunscreen, it's better to apply multiple thin layers rather than one thick layer. This method provides better UV protection, prevents pilling, and avoids a white cast. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
Photo order: 2 product container shots / Bare face - Sunscreen application - Sunscreen texture - After sunscreen with makeup (cushion) applied Here's my review after using this product religiously for two weeks as a Hwahae Tester winner! Skin type: Dry, sensitive (prone to blemishes, redness, and visible pores) 1. Fantastic absorption I've never experienced such a smooth application with a mineral sunscreen before. Usually, mineral sunscreens = thick and clumpy But this one applies almost like a regular sunscreen, not just those serum-type ones. I'm thrilled! I used to avoid mineral sunscreens unless I had a sponge puff, but with this one, you can just pat it on with your hands like a moisturizing sunscreen, and it spreads evenly without any clumping. 2. Doesn't clog pores With other brands claiming to be suitable even for children's skin, I always ended up with visible sebum on my nose by afternoon... And during cleansing, I could feel an unusual amount of sebum build-up. But with this one, I truly didn't experience any of that! 3. No pilling, applies thinly This point overlaps with the first two advantages. Because it absorbs well and doesn't clog pores, it doesn't cause makeup to pill and doesn't feel heavy! Previous mineral sunscreens I've tried made my makeup look cakey no matter how thinly I applied them, ruining my whole look. But this one feels like a light, hydrating layer. 4. No irritation, blemishes, or other issues during the testing period. As expected from a mineral sunscreen, there was no eye irritation. No blemishes from clogged pores either. I didn't experience any burning or tingling sensation upon application. I feel like a squeeze tube (like toothpaste) might be more convenient than the pump dispenser. The pump seems a bit unnecessary... It might be tricky to get every last bit out when it's almost empty. Oh! You need to pump it quite a few times initially before the product comes out. I thought the container was faulty at first! I even tried pressing harder with my hand, but if you keep pumping, it suddenly dispenses. Also, the dent in the middle of the container seems to be from air being pushed out when you pump it. For areas that tend to get sweaty, like around the mouth or nose bridge, I found it works well to gently wipe with a wet wipe, then reapply a small amount of sunscreen before putting on makeup. Thanks to its hydrating formula, I didn't experience any pilling or clumping! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
Skin Type and Concerns: - Super sensitive combination dehydrated skin - Prone to excess sebum and blackheads - Noticeable pores in the T-zone User Experience: Due to my skin type, I've always stuck to mineral sunscreens, favoring green-tinted ones to combat redness. When Abib launched three sunscreens simultaneously, I was intrigued, particularly by the Heartleaf Mild Sun Essence. Application: It spreads effortlessly without any stiffness. Many mineral sunscreens with good absorption often rely on high oil content, which can be overwhelming for combination dehydrated skin in summer. Abib's sunscreen glides on smoothly while feeling less oily and heavy compared to others. I've been using G* sunscreen recently, but as the weather warmed up, it became too greasy even for my combination dehydrated skin. I was looking for an alternative, and Abib's product caught my eye with its heartleaf extract, mineral filters, and green tint. It's less rich than the G* product, making it much more suitable for summer use. Tone Correction: It provides a subtle, natural white cast. While it doesn't offer the coverage of a high-coverage foundation, its natural white cast allows for layering without caking or making your face look disconnected from your body. Eye Irritation: I understand that the three Abib sunscreens have different UV filters. The Heartleaf Mild version uses mineral filters, so I hardly experienced any eye irritation. Irritation: I have super sensitive skin, and sometimes other mineral sunscreens can sting when my skin isn't at its best. However, I've used the Abib mineral sunscreen for two weeks without any blemishes or irritation. Packaging: The pump-type container makes it easy to dispense and control the amount. While there aren't any significant drawbacks, if I had to mention one, it would be that the pump and cap make the packaging a bit longer compared to other products. If the cap height could be reduced slightly, it would fit better in smaller pouches. For a mineral sunscreen, it's quite hydrating, making it suitable to use before makeup! When using it alone, I apply two to three layers, but for pre-makeup use, I apply a light single layer. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2025
I'm sharing my review after using this product for about a week. My skin is combination dehydrated, with oil production going into overdrive during summer or on humid days. The moment my oil and moisture balance is slightly off, blemishes appear. If I don't regularly maintain my skin texture, my makeup tends to look patchy. This sunscreen has a creamy, light green texture that's not too thick and has a hydrating, slightly glowy finish. Since my skin tends to be oily, I prefer a matte look over a dewy one, so I had to set my makeup with powder after applying this sunscreen. It took me some time to get used to the ABIB sunscreen, as I previously used a mild, moisturizer-like sunscreen. While my previous sunscreen was certainly easier to use and provided a better base for makeup, I found several positive aspects of this mineral sunscreen. I appreciated that I could apply makeup immediately after using it before heading out. Although it brightens the skin tone, it doesn't leave a strong white cast, so it doesn't significantly affect makeup application. The biggest advantage is that it's sufficient on its own when you don't want to wear makeup but feel self-conscious about going bare-faced! Also, it gives me a sense of enhanced sun protection... While I'll need to use it throughout the summer to fully assess it, I'm already quite satisfied with how gentle it is and that it hasn't caused any blemishes. Since the texture requires thorough absorption, I found myself reaching for it less when I was in a hurry or short on time. Proper skin texture preparation was essential to prevent makeup from looking patchy! For those with combination dehydrated skin like mine, this sunscreen offers a good balance of hydration and sun protection. Its ability to brighten the complexion without a heavy white cast makes it versatile for both makeup and no-makeup days. However, if you're pressed for time in your skincare routine, you might find the absorption time a bit challenging. Overall, it's a promising option for those seeking a gentle, multi-functional sunscreen that works hard to protect and enhance your skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 3, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, acne-prone, visible pores in T-zone Smooth application: Unlike most mineral sunscreens that feel thick and heavy, this one surprised me with how smoothly it glides on. It's much more pleasant to apply than I expected. No eye irritation: Some sunscreens tend to melt and sting my eyes, but I haven't experienced any discomfort with this one. It held up well during indoor workouts without causing any issues. I'll need to test it during outdoor activities to see how it performs. Natural tone-up effect: I love how it evens out my skin tone naturally. It doesn't leave a ghostly white cast, which means it doesn't interfere with other makeup application or create patchy areas. Good ingredients and value: The ingredient list is quite impressive, and when it's on sale, you can snag it for under $20. That makes it an affordable option for regular use. Most importantly, it didn't cause any blemishes, which is a huge plus for me. Pore appearance: As someone with combination skin that's oily on the surface but dry underneath, I noticed my pores in the T-zone became slightly more noticeable over time. However, I believe this is more due to my skin condition rather than the product itself. Overall, I didn't find any significant drawbacks or disappointments with this sunscreen. This sunscreen seems to work hard to protect the skin while providing a natural brightening effect. It's particularly suitable for those with super sensitive skin or acne-prone skin types. The fact that it doesn't cause irritation or allergic reactions is a major selling point. For those looking to incorporate this into their daily skincare routine, it appears to layer well with other products, contributing to that sought-after "Inner Glow" without feeling sticky or causing pilling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 2, 2025
As someone who typically avoids mineral sunscreens due to their tendency to cause redness, blemishes, and visible pores, I think I've finally found the one!! This mineral sunscreen has none of the usual drawbacks ㅠㅠ As someone with extremely dry skin, other mineral sunscreens would make my dead skin cells flake off like crazy, but this product applies smoothly without any pilling or caking! ✔️Applies smoothly ✔️Doesn't settle into wrinkles or pores ✔️No dryness (though not super hydrating) ✔️Works well under makeup ✔️Doesn't cause blemishes I've always used chemical sunscreens due to how they feel, but I'm thrilled to have finally found a mineral sunscreen that works for me I definitely plan to keep using this!!! While it might not be suitable for those looking for tone correction or intense hydration, I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a gentle, daily-use sunscreen~! * Even when I only used a cream after cleansing, there were no issues with pilling or flaking when I applied this sunscreen and makeup on top The packaging is a bit inconvenient to use When you open it, you'll notice the pump's tube is quite short, so it might be difficult to dispense the product as it runs low ㅠ The white cast isn't too severe, so you can apply two or three layers without issues!
