When I first applied this product, I was pleasantly surprised by how gentle it felt. While I had high hopes for its green tint to cover redness, I found it evens skin tone naturally without leaving any white cast. It goes on smoothly, which is a big plus! The finish is particularly matte, making it suitable for those whose skin tends to get oily quickly. It's perfect for those days when your skin feels super sensitive but you still want to even out your complexion while protecting against UV rays. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight and refreshing sunscreen!
ConsIf you have dry skin, you'll need to make sure your base skincare is solid to avoid any pilling. Also, keep in mind that the coverage isn't very high, so it's best to think of this as a product for evening out your complexion rather than full coverage.
TipFor best results, apply a hydrating cream or ampoule as a base before using this product. This will help it adhere more naturally to your skin and prevent any patchiness.

The formula is moist and soft, not too thin or thick. The color is not too strongly green, which is good. It brightens my complexion by about half a tone to one tone. It's fine to wear this sunscreen alone without foundation. The application is smooth without any stickiness or patchiness, and it doesn't overly affect my skin condition. The application is good. The coverage is not extremely effective at covering redness, but it does a decent job of evening out my skin tone and somewhat filling in my pores, making my skin look more refined. The lasting power is quite good, maintaining the brightening effect over time. As someone with extremely sensitive skin who can't use just any sunscreen, this one did not irritate my skin or cause any breakouts. Overall, this is a really great tone-up sunscreen! It doesn't irritate my skin, provides moderate tone-up, and has a slight pore-filling effect, so I'd recommend it as a foundation-free option. I'd even consider trying other shades.
ConsThere were no disappointing aspects. Rather than issues with the product itself, it would be great if there were also slightly matte formulations that the intelligentsia could use comfortably.
TipWhen going foundation-free, just apply this sunscreen and use a concealer to cover areas like dark circles, and you can achieve a clean and light base expression!

I highly recommend it 🤍 It's rare for me to write such a strong review, but I really love it and strongly recommend it. The tone-up sunscreen I was using before was a department store brand, but now I'm going to switch to this one. I'll leave a review after using it for 2 weeks! ✔️ Tone-up function: It evens out my skin tone naturally, without looking artificial. It adheres well to my skin, and the redness from my slight flushing is perfectly covered, making my skin look brighter. The tone-up effect also seems to last quite well - even after just applying the sunscreen and going to work, the tone doesn't get darker by the time I leave the office. ✔️ Application: It applies smoothly without clogging pores. Even when applying a generous amount, it doesn't feel heavy or cakey. ✔️ Oil control: The low oil content is particularly pleasing to me. It doesn't have a completely matte finish, but it's not sticky or greasy either - it has a nice, supple finish. I was worried about oil buildup, but compared to other dewy tone-up sunscreens, the oil doesn't come through as much. By the end of the day, my T-zone does get a bit shiny, but it's more of a healthy glow rather than an oily mess, which is a big plus for my combination skin. ✔️ Makeup compatibility: It works well under makeup and doesn't cause pilling. The makeup also stays in place nicely. It's great for prepping the skin before makeup, helping to even out the tone, and has versatile uses.
ConsThe price seems a bit high compared to the quantity. I think I'll use it up quickly, but the price is a bit disappointing.

The user has uneven skin tone with redness on the cheeks and a yellowish cast, and has sensitive skin, so they carefully consider the ingredients when purchasing sunscreen. After use, the sunscreen applies evenly and brightens the complexion. Most importantly, it does not leave the dry skin feeling tight or stuffy, even over time, thanks to its moisturizing properties. In the current weather, a simple application of this product after basic skincare is enough to correct the skin tone when going out. It is recommended for those with dry, reddened skin who want to experience the tone-up effects of a single sunscreen.
ConsAfter using it for 2 weeks, I am extremely satisfied and have not found any shortcomings yet.

The green one is much more moisturizing and has a better application. And since it contains cica ingredients, there's a refreshing sensation when applying it. My face immediately looks brighter, and the green color seems to do a great job of correcting yellow undertones. There's also a healthy glow to my skin! I think I'll continue using this until the summer arrives. Two layers provide a subtle yet effective coverage, so be sure to apply it evenly and let it absorb well!
ConsHwahae is a mixed sunscreen, so it has a bit more stickiness and greasiness compared to physical sunscreens. Additionally, as a tone-up sunscreen, the tone-up effect fades over time, so you need to reapply it before the tone-up function diminishes. As the weather gets warmer, oil quickly builds up on the face, so you need to use Hwahae in a way that effectively controls that oiliness.
TipTone-up sunscreens can easily cause breakouts if not removed properly. Double cleansing is an absolute must. I use a cleansing oil followed by a mildly alkaline cleansing foam for double cleansing, and this helps reduce breakouts. This product seems to cleanse well for a tone-up sunscreen, so I'm quite satisfied with it.

After 2 weeks of use, I'm leaving an honest review! (I'm a male with combination skin.) I'll be leaving a review on the feel, irritation, etc. Feel: The spreadability is closer to mineral sunscreens than organic ones. However, it doesn't feel as dry as a typical mineral sunscreen! It covers pores and redness well, and it gives my skin a naturally brightened look - my skin looks so much more radiant! Irritation and Fragrance: There was no irritation, so it was easy to use without any concerns. And the lack of fragrance was great as well.
ConsI didn't really feel the drawbacks much. Recently, I've only been using the Byom Remedy Topup Sunscreen! It's convenient when I'm too lazy to do full makeup, as it covers my skin and provides sun protection. It's somewhere between the feel of organic and inorganic sunscreens. I recommend it!

It has an appropriate amount of moisture and oil, and the tone correction is not too noticeable, but it definitely makes a difference.🫠 Compared to the purple sunscreen, this one has a different tone-up and tone correction, which is great for days with a lot of redness or when you want a more natural tone-up and even skin tone.🤭 As shown in the product image, the soft green/light green color effectively neutralizes redness while providing a hydrating yet non-heavy formula, which I'm really satisfied with.🫶 I had previously loved the purple sunscreen too, so I don't have much more to say.ㅠ🥹 It seems the two have distinct advantages.😅 Depending on how I want to do my base makeup that day, I simply reach for the color that suits me best.😉 I always love using them.🤭
ConsI'm so satisfied that the only downside is that it's a bit inconvenient to open and close the lid by twisting it...🫣..that's all.
TipFor those who find it bothersome to apply products but are concerned about their skin, and know they should wear sunscreen but worry about it making their skin look shiny, I recommend trying a cushion foundation. As the weather is starting to get warmer, you can simply apply a green-tinted sunscreen and lightly dust on some powder for a natural, perfected complexion - an easy cushion foundation routine completed.

In addition to UV protection, it also effectively corrects skin tone. Yay! It provides a natural tone-up effect and a moisturizing application, especially suitable for warm-toned skin. ❤️Natural Tone-Up Effect: The full-color formula naturally corrects the skin's unevenness, making warm-toned skin appear more refined and organized. 💛Moisturizing Application and Refreshing Finish: The formula is as thin as an essence. It applies smoothly and finishes off without any stickiness, allowing it to be used as a pre-makeup step without any issues. 💚I've become particularly sensitive to sunscreens lately, but the Hwahae one didn't cause any trouble with milia and didn't irritate the eye area either. 👍
ConsIf you hastily apply makeup without first allowing the product to be absorbed into the skin, certain areas may experience a lifting or peeling effect.
TipApply in thin layers: Rather than applying a large amount at once, it is better to apply in multiple thin layers.

First of all, it has a moisturizing texture and you can see your complexion brightening the moment you apply it. I usually apply it before makeup, and since it covers the neck area thoroughly, there is no difference in skin tone between the face and neck, which I am very satisfied with 😻. But on the days when I only applied sunscreen and went for a walk, I found the glow. It improves the skin texture itself, so even on days when I don't feel like going out with a bare face, after 10-20 minutes of application, my skin looks like honey skin. It was so good 🩷. Since it's a moisturizing type, I think it will be fine for dry skin types as well. My skin is extremely oily, but I'm satisfied.
ConsI didn't feel any irritation from the product, and there were no particular disappointments. If you don't apply it thoroughly, it will be noticeable. That's about it.
TipThe Hwahae Testers recommend using a cushion foundation that doesn't match your skin tone before applying it. I bought a cushion one shade lighter, and when I use it with sunscreen, I don't even notice any darkening, and my skin looks great until I get home.😽

Cons*As summer approaches with its intense sunlight, applying a bit too much can lead to pilling or separation. *On dry days, even when you think you've applied enough moisturizer, the sunscreen can still clump up. *Because it absorbs so quickly, you need to apply a small amount in thin layers.
TipTip I've learned: Instead of patting, quickly spread small amounts on the cheeks, forehead, and chin in swift, sweeping motions for better absorption.
