✓ Versatile for face and body It's economical and convenient to use one product for multiple purposes like facial cleansing and showering. ✓ Natural-derived vegan ingredients Made with plant-based ingredients like organic oils, it's gentle on the skin and suitable for dry skin types. Being a vegan product, I find it to be a relatively mild cleanser. ✓ Fragrance The blend of warm woody notes and subtle jasmine creates a healing experience during every shower! The scent isn't overpowering, so it's not overwhelming. 1. The fragrance might be polarizing for some. 2. Using it from head to toe in one go can be drying. It might be best to follow up with a moisturizer after use. - su****Oily SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 5, 2024
The scent is initially puzzling, but it becomes more addictive the more you smell it. The fragrance lingers, filling the bathroom with vibrant sandalwood notes. If it suits your taste, you're in luck, but if not, it might not be your cup of tea. Like all Dr. Bronner's products, it has excellent cleansing effectiveness and leaves no residue, feeling fresh and clean. I consider it top-tier among this type of body wash (though it's relatively pricey). While I can't find any specific drawbacks for this product, the scent might be polarizing for some people. - te*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 11, 2023
Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap is an all-in-one product with a generous volume, perfect for the whole family to use. As someone with dry skin, I usually opt for a low pH cleanser, but my husband, who has oily skin, finds that low pH cleansers feel slippery and lack cleansing effectiveness. What I love most about Castile Soap is that it's gentle yet effective, making it suitable for all skin types. I've tried the lavender scent before, and the fragrance was delightful - a genuine lavender scent, not artificial at all. This Sandalwood Jasmine version leaves a natural jasmine lingering scent, which I find lovely. Of course, some might not prefer this woody aroma, but I think most will find it comforting. It works great as a facial cleanser and body wash, but I wouldn't recommend it for shampoo. It doesn't lather like typical shampoos, so it might cause tangling for long hair. I'd suggest using it for cleansing and as a body wash. The pump makes it very convenient to use! It might feel a bit drying for those with dry skin during winter months. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 23, 2023
The fragrance is lovely, and it doesn't leave any residue. It's really wonderful! It's disappointing that residue keeps accumulating and clogging up the pump. - yh*****Combination SkinSep 12, 2023
The fragrance diffuses subtly and pleasantly. I also love the refreshing, squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing. I don't feel like it provides much hydration. You'll need to apply an emulsion separately. - da********Dry SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2023
I absolutely love the woody scent! It gives such a healing feeling. The fragrance exceeded my expectations, and I'm very satisfied with it. The fact that it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean makes it even better! I'm really pleased with its cleansing effectiveness, and it's great that it can be used as a foam cleanser too. This scent is definitely my favorite! It doesn't produce rich lather with a small amount. Despite being a large size, it seems to have a thinner consistency compared to other products, so it feels like I'm using it up faster. - lg*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 24, 2023
As someone who absolutely adores woody scents, I was a bit worried the jasmine might overpower everything. But surprisingly, it's not too strong at all! When you first open the cap, there's even a hint of pepper-like aroma - quite unexpected! To be honest, I can't really detect the woody notes... Some people might find it reminiscent of men's skincare or cologne scents, which is interesting. It was my first time trying a liquid soap as a body wash, and I found it quite novel. However, I must say it can be a bit drying in this weather, unfortunately. To be honest, I'm not sure if I can really detect the woody scent... No matter how many times I smell it, all I get is pepper. If you're buying this expecting a strong woody fragrance, I'd advise against it. - km****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedApr 10, 2023
I'm using this as a body wash and I find the scent pleasantly neutral, not bothersome at all. It lathers up nicely and has good cleansing effectiveness. It contains some ingredients that may cause allergic reactions. Once I finish this bottle, I plan to switch to a product with gentler ingredients. - qh******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 13, 2023
1. The fragrance is absolutely captivating! 2. There's a generous amount, and I used it as a foam cleanser. 3. I loved how squeaky clean it left my skin. I don't have any complaints. The scent is lovely and appealing. However, if you're not a fan of that squeaky-clean feeling, you might want to avoid this. - yo*******Dry SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 17, 2022
I've been using the peppermint version of this product for a while, but as the weather's getting colder and drier, and as I'm getting older, I no longer want a cleanser with that squeaky-clean feeling. I was wondering what to switch to when I tried the sandalwood jasmine sample I received gratis with my last peppermint purchase. Oh wow! The texture is lovely, it's gentle, and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized - perfect for this time of year. Plus, I absolutely adore the scent, so I immediately placed an order. I'm using it now and I'm completely satisfied. My appreciation for Dr. Bronner's products has skyrocketed so much that I want to try their other items too! I haven't found any downsides yet. To be honest, I don't think I'm likely to discover any cons in the future either.
