I've been using a few bottles since high school, and over time, my acne has only occasionally appeared. Due to the product's highly irritating ingredients, I've been looking for other products and haven't used it for a while. The product packaging has changed a lot.^ The antibacterial properties are excellent. When you squeeze acne, bacteria can cause it to become infected again. Using tea tree oil can reduce the chances of acne recurrence, even if it's not 100% effective.^ Try to avoid touching your face, especially the acne, as much as possible. Even if it's a hassle, use a cotton swab to squeeze the acne and apply tea tree oil with a cotton swab. The same goes for spot ointments. • It's very irritating. I later learned that you're not supposed to apply it directly to the acne, but around it to prevent further contamination. I didn't know that and applied it directly to the squeezed acne area, which was hell...^ The antibacterial properties are excellent, but the ingredients can be irritating, so test it out and see how it works for you!^ • Scent It has a strong laboratory chemical and alcohol-like tea tree scent. I was initially repulsed by the scent. 1. Do a patch test 2. Apply using a cotton swab 3. If you've squeezed the acne, apply around the area When I have acne or feel like I'm getting it, I try not to touch it as much as possible, apply spot ointment frequently, and use spot patches if I accidentally touch it. Even without squeezing, the acne will slowly calm down and disappear on its own.^ ★ I looked it up, and it seems tea tree oil should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2017
I used to use tea tree products a lot when I was a student (although I can't remember the exact name of the product I bought from the pharmacy), so when they were on sale at the duty-free shop, I bought two for my husband. It seems to be good for managing minor acne, rather than severe acne. After looking at the ingredient list here, I wonder why I was so obsessed with the fragrance? The scent is too strong and a bit irritating. It seems like they were marketing it as being very eco-friendly... It seems a bit irritating, so you should only use a very small amount! It would be good to do a test beforehand. Don't use it on wounded acne - it could cause further irritation! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2017
The soothing effect on the skin is excellent, but using it too often reduces the effectiveness. Using it too often reduces the effectiveness, and there is also some skin irritation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 17, 2017
It's great Except for the milia, everything else is great. That thing, the big pimples, almost all of them disappear. It's very good. It's irritating ㅠ And if it doesn't suit your skin, it apparently flares up right away. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 10, 2017
The newly emerging acne or small milia can be quickly absorbed when applied. The feeling and scent are a bit unpleasant, and sensitive individuals should test it before use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 6, 2017
To be honest, the best part was the sense of self-satisfaction, wasn't it? When I had a pimple, I would apply this product, not because it necessarily worked right away, but because it made me feel better mentally, like I was doing something about it. And it does seem to have some effect, so I always end up buying this product. Haha. Since it contains tea tree oil, when it comes into contact with the irritated area, it can cause unexpected pain and discomfort. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 17, 2016
The skin feels disinfected. Applying it to acne doesn't immediately show effects, but it does have a noticeable calming effect. Applying it more frequently would likely be even better. It stings when applied to trouble spots. And sometimes, when I mixed it with my toner, it actually caused small breakouts. It seems better to apply it only to specific areas rather than all over the face. I just dab on a small amount using a cotton swab. Especially on the face, using a small amount seems to prevent other side effects! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 15, 2016
I was surprised by the unpleasant feeling, but my acne definitely decreased. It seems to be better for inflammatory acne. When I applied it on the wounded area, it stung terribly, but I guess that's unavoidable haha - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2016
I have very sensitive skin and tend to get a lot of blemishes. Scarring also occurs easily, so I bought this product to help minimize scarring by preventing blemishes from becoming inflamed. Small blemishes disappear after about 2 days of use, but stubborn, red, and swollen blemishes just before they come to a head don't go away as easily. It does help soothe them, but they don't fully disappear and just subside, leaving a bit of scarring behind. It's still better than trying to pop them though. Normally when I get blemishes, I use a hydrating cream to calm them, and during my period when I tend to break out more, I apply a small amount at night for 3-7 days. I don't feel like my skin gets overly dry from using it. Since I only apply it to problem areas and not my whole face, the product seems to last a long time... I'm still using it. It is a bit irritating, so you have to use only a small amount. It's a bit frustrating that a cotton swab absorbs too much of the product. Applying it with my fingers is also a bit awkward, and I don't like dipping my fingers directly into the jar. It would be nice if there was a small spatula or dropper to dispense just the right amount. The tea tree scent is quite strong when you first open the jar, but it's not overly unpleasant once it's closed. After applying the tea tree oil, you should follow up with a lotion or cream. I was worried the tea tree oil might be too harsh, so I just use a light lotion afterwards, and I can still feel the soothing effects. Using it as soon as a blemish appears seems to be when it works best. Once the blemish has already progressed, the effectiveness seems to decrease. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinNov 22, 2016
The fragrance is really nice, and it definitely helps to calm down the acne as well. It was a bit irritating and felt a bit stinging in some areas.
