When applied, you can clearly see blemishes calming down It's a bit disappointing that the amount is somewhat small. I didn't know how to open the lid at first, haha - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2020
As someone with sensitive and super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any side effects when using this! It's incredibly effective for removing blemishes, and it works even better on teenage acne. I also found the packaging very user-friendly! If you're struggling with blemishes, I highly recommend this product! (Personally, it was extremely effective for me!) You might find the tingling scent a bit irritating, but that's an unavoidable characteristic of tea tree oil! Some people say the container is difficult to open, but you need to press down and turn the lid from top to bottom. Personally, I didn't have any trouble opening it. I don't recommend applying it directly to your face or using a cotton pad! The formula is similar to water, so it can easily run off, and if you use a cotton pad, the strong scent will linger on your hands. It's best to apply a drop or two on a cotton swab and target specific areas! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 26, 2018
As expected from tea tree oil, it was great at calming down angry blemishes. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, so I applied it to the desired areas after my regular skincare routine. It wasn't irritating at all and worked well! I was a bit disappointed that the effects didn't show up quickly, but overall I was satisfied. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 31, 2018
This is my go-to product when I have blemishes on my face! I'm already on my fifth bottle, haha. When I apply it before bed, it seems to calm about 80% of the irritation by morning! It does sting a little, but I enjoy it with the feeling that it's working its magic! I think it's a bit cheaper in the US. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 27, 2018
I bought this product when I was really struggling with blemishes, and it worked wonders for me. If you apply it to areas where you've popped pimples, it prevents scabbing the next day. When used on newly formed pimples or small bumps, they disappear by morning! For larger pimples that have been around for a while but aren't hard yet - more like white, inflamed spots - this product helps them harden quickly, making them easier to get rid of. (Remember, squeezing whiteheads can make them worse or lead to scarring and infection. It's best to wait until the center of the pimple has hardened before extracting, or let it scab over and fall off naturally.) While it's not a magical oil that erases pimples and bumps instantly, it definitely aids in the process of safely removing blemishes. The dispensing cap works almost too well, making it tricky to control the amount. You need to tilt the opening slightly and give it a gentle shake to get small amounts out. Be careful not to flip it upside down thinking nothing's coming out - the pressure can cause it to suddenly gush out! Also, be cautious when applying near your eyes as it can sting. Keep it at a safe distance from the eye area. Personally, I love the tea tree scent. I sometimes dab it under my nose when I'm feeling sleepy or stuffy - it's refreshing and pleasant. Don't be stingy with it just because it's 10ml - this stuff lasts over a year! I bought the new version for a repurchase, but I still have plenty of the old one left. It seems never-ending no matter how much you use. So go ahead and use it generously! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinFeb 14, 2018
I didn't use it daily, but when I applied it on emerging or existing blemishes before bed, I noticed they had shrunk or disappeared by the next morning. That's why I like it. As a lazy person, I find using a cotton swab to apply the product incredibly tedious... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinOct 14, 2017
I've been using a few bottles since high school, and over time, my acne has only occasionally appeared. Due to the product's highly irritating ingredients, I've been looking for other products and haven't used it for a while. The product packaging has changed a lot.^ The antibacterial properties are excellent. When you squeeze acne, bacteria can cause it to become infected again. Using tea tree oil can reduce the chances of acne recurrence, even if it's not 100% effective.^ Try to avoid touching your face, especially the acne, as much as possible. Even if it's a hassle, use a cotton swab to squeeze the acne and apply tea tree oil with a cotton swab. The same goes for spot ointments. • It's very irritating. I later learned that you're not supposed to apply it directly to the acne, but around it to prevent further contamination. I didn't know that and applied it directly to the squeezed acne area, which was hell...^ The antibacterial properties are excellent, but the ingredients can be irritating, so test it out and see how it works for you!^ • Scent It has a strong laboratory chemical and alcohol-like tea tree scent. I was initially repulsed by the scent. 1. Do a patch test 2. Apply using a cotton swab 3. If you've squeezed the acne, apply around the area When I have acne or feel like I'm getting it, I try not to touch it as much as possible, apply spot ointment frequently, and use spot patches if I accidentally touch it. Even without squeezing, the acne will slowly calm down and disappear on its own.^ ★ I looked it up, and it seems tea tree oil should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 8, 2017
I repurchased and used The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil! I'm satisfied with the soothing effect, so I bought it again. The scent was a bit disappointing. The lid was also a bit difficult for me to open. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinMay 12, 2017
I don't have very acne-prone skin, but I sometimes get large pimples on my chin during sensitive periods. My younger brother, who often gets acne, bought this and told me to try it, so I've been applying it with a cotton swab to the areas where I get pimples, and the acne tends to subside quite well. At first, it stings a bit and feels hot, but when I wake up in the morning after using it the night before, the situation has improved a lot. I've been using it occasionally as an emergency acne treatment, and it works well for me.^^ It's not like the acne disappears right away. I'm just satisfied that the condition of the acne gradually improves as I continue using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2017
I used to use tea tree products a lot when I was a student (although I can't remember the exact name of the product I bought from the pharmacy), so when they were on sale at the duty-free shop, I bought two for my husband. It seems to be good for managing minor acne, rather than severe acne. After looking at the ingredient list here, I wonder why I was so obsessed with the fragrance? The scent is too strong and a bit irritating. It seems like they were marketing it as being very eco-friendly... It seems a bit irritating, so you should only use a very small amount! It would be good to do a test beforehand. Don't use it on wounded acne - it could cause further irritation!
