It seems to reduce blemishes on the skin and has a lightweight feel. Scent The fragrance isn't artificial, but rather a slightly medicinal, disinfectant-like scent. While it might be polarizing, I personally enjoyed it because it doesn't feel like an artificial fragrance was added.
ConsIt's disappointing that first-time users might find it irritating and experience a stinging sensation in their eyes.

It's perfect for calming blemishes.
ConsIt stings when applied around the eyes, and the scent isn't quite to my liking. There's a slight tingling sensation.

Even after getting extractions and skincare at the clinic, it was only temporary relief. Stress-induced milia appeared too, making things worse. For 5 years, I tried every acne product and visited dermatologists, but nothing improved. When I started working at a skin clinic, the esthetician did extractions and exfoliation, but this time it led to infections and scarring. I finally started antibiotics, which helped with the infections, but the milia persisted. Since I couldn't use sebum regulators with antibiotics, and at my age using them incorrectly could cause wrinkles, I prioritized treating the infections. After two weeks of antibiotics and using the clinic's skin emulsion, the alcohol content caused deep dryness. A friend recommended Centella from Dongkuk Pharma, but the cream felt too heavy and seemed to clog my pores. I opted for the lighter Centella moisturizer instead. Now, I cleanse with Avène, spritz Celius Rose Petal on damp skin, apply the Centella moisturizer, then soak a cotton pad with Celius Medicare and place it on my blemishes for 5-10 minutes. This calms inflamed acne, and I dot the Centella cream on scars. My skin is finally returning to its former glory!
ConsWhile it doesn't prevent new milia from forming, when they do appear, immediately applying a soaked cotton pad helps them subside. One downside is that it can sting if used too close to the eyes. Those who dislike a warming sensation might want to avoid it. The scent is similar to antiseptic, so those sensitive to smells might pass. But I endure it for the sake of my skin because the difference is visible the next day!
TipUnlike toners with alcohol that can cause dryness, this one contains aloe. It sits on the skin like a mask, calming blemishes, and when patted in, there's no tightness. After masking, applying the Centella cream all over felt heavy, so I just dotted it on scars, which have almost disappeared. For those with cystic acne, I recommend getting a prescription for acne antibiotics from a dermatologist. While medication isn't ideal, there's a limit to what cosmetics alone can do. I haven't tried sebum regulators myself, but for those in the early stages of acne or without cystic breakouts, controlling sebum might be beneficial.

I've tried many different ones, but this one works best for my skin. I've been using it daily for about 3 years, not for spot blemish care, but as my go-to toner. In my experience, the Medicated version is the best among Thayers toners. Compared to others, it seems to cause fewer blemishes. Let's be honest, even with functional cosmetics, it's hard to expect medicinal effects. That's why my criteria for choosing skincare is whether it causes blemishes or not. By that standard, this toner has good ingredients for its price and tends to cause fewer skin issues. Some say that continuous use of products containing alcohol can dry out the skin, but I've used it for a long time and haven't experienced that at all.
ConsSince it does contain alcohol, it can sting a bit if it accidentally gets in your eyes. Also, among the Thayers toner line, the Medicated version seems to face import delays more frequently than the others.
TipFor reference, I really dislike feeling stuffy, so I don't use essences, emulsions, or moisturizers. After cleansing, I wipe my face with the Medicated toner on a cotton pad, then pat on Thayers alcohol-free toner as an emulsion substitute. I've been doing this for years without any dryness. I'd recommend this routine to anyone who, like me, dislikes even the slight stickiness of moisturizers.

I have oily skin that breaks out easily if I'm not careful. But when I use this, it calms my skin and clears up blemishes quickly. I think I've gone through at least 5 bottles by now!
ConsIt makes my eyes water if I apply it around them. Also, the fragrance is quite strong.

When I mix it with aloe and tea tree on a cotton pad and apply it to areas with blemishes, they calm down quickly by the next day.
ConsBe careful when applying near the eyes, as it can sting if it gets in due to the alcohol content.

On areas with blemishes, it felt like it was disinfecting. It has a scent like tiger balm or mint - it's a polarizing fragrance, but I personally like it. Also, my T-zone always used to get oily after cleansing and applying skincare, but this seems to control that excess oil. It feels like it's prepping my skin before I start my skincare routine.
ConsIt seems to contain alcohol, and when I use it, it stings my eyes. You get used to it eventually, but at first, I had to close my eyes while applying. Not recommended for super sensitive skin.
TipWhen your face feels hot, it's soothing to soak a cotton pad with this and place it on your skin. Also, after extracting a pimple, I wipe the area with this and then place a soaked cotton pad on it - it seems to calm the skin down, so that's how I use it.

It's great for calming your skin after extracting blemishes or when your face feels hot. Just wipe it on with a cotton pad and you'll feel some relief. The bottle is huge, so even with daily use it lasts 4-5 months!
ConsThe cooling effect is so intense that I have to close my eyes when applying it because it stings. On days when my skin feels super sensitive, using this sometimes gives me a slight irritation.

It's absolutely fantastic! No breakouts, and it feels refreshing. I tend to get large, deep pimples, but when I focus on applying this to those areas, they've sometimes reduced in size. Highly recommended as an acne-fighting toner!
ConsAbsolutely avoid applying near the eyes. It causes a stinging sensation - ouch!
TipIt works great when applied after popping a pimple! (I've seen results on hormonal acne too)

It has a real soothing effect on minor burns (before blistering or peeling), and helps with itching from insect bites.
ConsIt stings if applied near the eyes, and the scent is a bit strong. Using it as a daily toner can be irritating.
