My cousin's friend works in skincare and recommended this product to him, saying it has great ingredients. So I decided to give it a try! I've only used it twice so far, but I'll update my review with more details after the third use. Pros: • Scent: It smells just like the masks at dermatology clinics, which I love. It makes me feel like I'm getting a professional treatment! • Cooling effect: Recently, my skin had a major flare-up and during the recovery process, my cheeks became extremely dry with unexpected redness. I used this modeling mask, and the redness disappeared! While it may not be effective for blemishes, the cooling effect is spot-on! Rather than soothing blemishes, this mask seems to work wonders for those with severe redness or a heated sensation on their face. It's truly effective in calming the skin. Try fanning your face while the mask sets - it feels incredibly refreshing! The cooling effect is definitely noticeable! It doesn't particularly help with soothing blemishes. Also, since I'm a bit clumsy, it can be a bit annoying to clean up if I spill some during the mixing process. For someone as lazy as me, that's a slight drawback. 1. Preparation: You can refer to other reviews for the mixing instructions! To be honest, I eyeballed the measurements because I was too lazy to measure precisely, but it was still easy to make. 2. Green Tea Bag: I saw many reviews mentioning mixing in green tea powder, so I wanted to try it too. Since I didn't have any powder at home, I steeped a green tea bag and mixed in a few drops. It seemed to enhance the experience! I looked it up online, and apparently, green tea-infused water is good for the skin. You might want to give it a try! 3. Ampoule: Apply your favorite ampoule before the mask for extra hydration. 4. Tools: It's convenient to buy the mixing tools along with the mask! - hi*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 9, 2021
This product is fantastic. I have sensitive combination dehydrated skin, and this mask is not irritating at all. I'm so glad I bought it. Ingredients: Being a Sidmool product, I trusted the ingredients when purchasing. Texture: As expected, there's no itching after use, and it cools down my skin temperature, making it perfect for hot summer days. While it's not extremely hydrating, I'd say it provides about the same level of moisture as a typical modeling mask. Value for money: It's 22,500 won for 1kg, but I got it at a discount. If you buy it during a sale, I think it's great value. I haven't used up the whole container yet, so I might update my review on the quantity later, but for now, I'm satisfied with the texture and ingredients alone. Effectiveness: My skin looks brighter after using it! This was truly amazing. It can be a bit of a hassle to mix every time when you're busy, but that's the case with all modeling masks, so you just have to accept it. Other than that, there are no downsides! Cleanse thoroughly, apply a gentle toner, followed by a Centella asiatica ampoule, then the modeling mask. When mixing the mask with water, use cool water and mix quickly before applying it to your skin for the best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 9, 2021
It's amazing! Just mixing it with water completely transforms your skin condition by the next day. First-time users might find it challenging to adjust the concentration. I recommend buying a separate mixing cup to use with it! Apply a thicker layer at the edges of the mask for easier removal. For double the effectiveness, use a sheet mask before this. If not, try applying a generous amount of serum first. Sometimes I mix it with a soothing gel, which makes it more cooling and great for calming the skin. - si********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 18, 2020
This is my go-to product when I need to quickly upgrade my skin. I'm currently on my second pack, using it mainly for recovery when my skin feels irritated and itchy due to sensitivity, or when it's extremely dry. It's a must-have item that nails both quantity and quality for its price point. I recommend keeping at least one pack on hand at all times. There's really nothing to complain about. These large-volume modeling mask powders are great all around, making it easy to portion out the right amount. 1. It's excellent for overall soothing after using a nose strip. 2. Mixing the powder with essences or ampoules instead of just water seems to create a firmer texture that adheres better to the skin. 3. For best results, blend the mixture thoroughly like you're making dalgona coffee. This ensures an even application with minimal bubbles when spreading it on your face. A uniform thickness across the face enhances the mask's effectiveness. 4. If you have particularly dry areas on your face, apply a bit more of the mixture there. 5. For an extra treat, use any leftover mixture on your neck for some additional skincare. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 10, 2020
Decent value for money, moderate hydration, and a mild cooling effect. Above all, the ingredients are pretty good. The cooling effect is minimal. Even when mixed with cold water, it doesn't provide a strong cooling sensation. I end up putting the cold water in the freezer for about 5 minutes before using it. - zy****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 3, 2020
I've tried all sorts of masks - sheet masks, wash-off masks, you name it - but this modeling mask was my first venture into that category. First off, compared to other products, the price is quite reasonable, and the quantity is generous! The only slight disappointment was realizing I needed to purchase the spatula and bowl separately when buying this. I've seen some reviews mentioning that the cooling effect isn't as impressive as other Sidmool modeling masks. But being my first, or maybe because I haven't tried others, I actually found the cooling effect quite satisfactory! It's definitely more hydrating than regular masks. If used consistently, I think it could really help achieve that coveted 'glass skin' look. If you're looking for a solid, cost-effective modeling mask, I highly recommend this one! As mentioned earlier, having to buy the bowl and spatula separately is a bit of a downside. Also, this is definitely a mask that requires you to be diligent with your skincare routine! Before applying the mask, slather on plenty of ampoule or essence for an extra boost of hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 2, 2020
Skin type: - Combination dehydrated skin (extremely oily) - Blackheads especially on nose, sides of nose, cheeks, forehead, and between eyes - Left cheek had severe acne (now mostly scars and small blemishes, with occasional large ones) - Super sensitive skin (must have zero irritating ingredients) Loved it because: - Affordable price (1kg lasts about 30 uses and costs around $22) - Cooling effect (face feels refreshingly cool after use) - Improves pores (nose and surrounding areas become smoother) - Enhances skin texture (overall skin feels softer) - Bit of a hassle to use - Immediately after use, small bumps seem more visible - Blackheads appear more noticeable (but skin feels smooth) - Doesn't peel off cleanly Will update if anything changes! Skincare routine: Hydrating cream - Modeling mask (mixed with broccoli and mugwort extracts, hyaluronic acid, etc.) - Hydrating cream - Aloe gel + rosehip oil (applied like a sleeping pack) - le******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2020
This is my first time trying a modeling mask, and I'm loving it! The generous amount allows me to use it daily. The cooling effect is so amazing that I've stopped using sheet masks altogether. So far, I haven't found any downsides. I'm definitely planning to repurchase and continue using it. Before applying, I generously layer on an ampoule. Once it's about halfway absorbed, I apply the modeling mask. When I peel it off later, my skin feels incredibly hydrated. - ju*******Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 17, 2020
I've been using this modeling product for over 3 years, and I truly believe it offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it! When mixing the powder with water, it seems harder to blend than before. It takes a bit longer, making my arms ache, which is why I deducted one star. I recommend using chilled distilled water or drinking water instead of tap water to mix the mask. This enhances the cooling effect, doubling its impact. Dermatologists actually use this method too! - do******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2020
There's definitely a noticeable cooling effect on the face compared to not using it at all. Considering the price for 2kg, it's hard to beat in terms of value for money! I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to experience a rubber mask. It's a great option to try out! First off, the texture isn't particularly impressive. After mixing the powder with water and stirring, it forms little clumps and hardens quite quickly. Compared to other rubber mask products, the powder is extremely fine and there's a lot of excess. That's a real drawback.
