They definitely help control dead skin cells, which has significantly reduced my blemishes.
ConsWhile it's quite affordable when purchased from overseas, it's quite expensive in Korea.
TipIt's best to buy in bulk when ordering from abroad!

It seems to have better dead skin cell removal capabilities than Duo. I think it would be great to apply when those tiny blemishes are just starting to appear.
ConsIt seems harder to purchase than Duo. You can only get it for around $18 if you buy it directly from overseas.
TipWhether you use Duo or this, make sure to moisturize well after application. And when you apply it during the day and go outside, don't forget to use sunscreen!

It's great for exfoliating dead skin cells and calming blemishes. I love how it applies thinly without irritating my skin, leaving it feeling soft afterwards. It gives a sensation of gently sloughing off dead skin cells. It also helps soothe blemishes, so I apply it before bed, focusing on areas like around my nose, mouth, and forehead. It feels like it's refining my thick skin texture.
ConsThe quantity is a bit small at 30ml. While the aluminum case is hygienic, it can be a bit inconvenient to use.
TipThere's nothing better for blemishes, and I highly recommend it even for those with super sensitive skin.

This is a must-have product I'll keep repurchasing until my last breath. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells daily without irritation, which helps unclog pores and naturally improves acne. Now I only get about one blemish on my face. What's especially great is that when my skin isn't at its best, applying just this before bed gradually improves its condition.
ConsThe quantity is a bit disappointing. It used to be sold at Olive Young, but now it's classified as a medication and no longer available there, making it slightly harder to purchase. Occasionally, it can feel a bit drying on the skin.
TipI apply this before bed when my skin is acting up.

It even outperforms many acne ointments I've used. If you consistently use this while managing your dead skin cells, you'll likely see positive results.
ConsI don't have any particular complaints. I've been applying it mainly to areas prone to breakouts for a long time, and I haven't experienced any side effects.

Applies lightly. The scent is refreshingly pleasant.
ConsIt's expensive and the quantity is small. It's fine when applied alone, but when layering other products on top, it pills like eraser shavings. The effectiveness for managing dead skin cells is questionable.
TipI tried it because it was supposed to be good for small blemishes, but I wasn't impressed. The Effaclar Duo from the same line was effective though. I'd recommend the Duo instead.

Its exfoliating properties have significantly reduced my blemishes, and it's done a decent job managing sebum. I'm quite satisfied with it.
ConsThere's nothing particularly disappointing about it, but those with super sensitive skin might find it a bit harsh with long-term use...

While Duo works better for teenagers, the K Essence is known to be more effective for adult acne, and I've personally experienced this. I used to use three bottles of Duo, but now I only use the K Essence. Adult acne is often exacerbated by dead skin cells and impurities from makeup, so the K Essence definitely seems more effective. It absorbs incredibly lightly, which is great, and doesn't cause pilling even when used under makeup.
ConsThe ingredients... I'm completely disappointed by the ingredient list, especially for a dermatologist-recommended product. The price is also a bit high considering it's only 30ml. The container is made of aluminum? material, which makes it difficult to squeeze out the product towards the end or apply pressure when using.

ConsThe downside was that it was a bit too drying. You'll need to follow up with a moisturizer after applying this.

It exfoliates daily, helping my blemishes disappear. I feel anxious without it now. I must have used about 10 bottles already!
ConsI think K is more effective than Duo, to be honest.
TipFor those with severe acne, I highly recommend getting extractions at a dermatologist first. Then, use K and A.I. for maintenance to achieve that honey-like skin. Using it on active acne won't do much! Please don't squeeze pimples at home - always visit a dermatologist. After extractions, applying A.I. helps calm the skin quickly.
