Since I used about two bottles, I think I've built up a tolerance, and my acne won't go away. I purchased the Mentholatum Acnes Gel based on my friend's recommendation for treating closed comedones. I don't usually have severe breakouts, just a few small ones, but a few days ago I got a slightly larger pimple and about 2 acne spots, so I started using this gel. 1. It has a cooling sensation. My skin was really irritated from improper cleansing, so when I applied this to my acne, it felt soothing and calming. 2. It clears acne. I've seen results from using this product, which is rare for me with acne treatments. Since I only have closed comedones, I'm not sure how effective it would be for severe, cystic acne. 3. The amount is generous. One purchase lasts me over 6 months. It's also reasonably priced at around 12,000 won. It used to be sold at Olive Young, but the brand seems to have disappeared lately.

I used to use a few bottles of Meebev products, but the price burden became a bit heavy, so I switched to this friend haha. But the effect was better than expected, and the trouble also seemed to subside faster than Meebev! It's much cheaper and I'm completely satisfied with the product. Especially, I don't know if it's just me, but the unique cooling sensation was really good.

Pros
It provides an immediate cooling (soothing) sensation to the painful pimple. The pimple subsides quickly. And the pimple core (contents?) is painlessly extracted. It's amazing.

The texture is dense and creamy, and there is a slight cooling sensation as soon as it's applied. If you apply it to the acne area before bed and sleep, the redness is noticeably reduced in the morning!! This seems to have different effects depending on when you use it. For one, it does help reduce my acne a bit. The cooling effect is good, and personally I don't think the scent is too overpowering. Older sister Alli recommended it, and the price was reasonable, so I bought it. It's just generally good to use when my acne is particularly bad.
Cons
It's hard to control the amount. When I accidentally squeeze out too much at once (regret), and then apply a lot at night, there's a lot of excess oil and residue left in the morning (maybe because I'm a teenager).
Tip
It's good to apply it to the affected areas with a cotton swab and let it absorb properly! Pros
After squeezing out pimples, applying it generously and sleeping helped with the soothing effect! I've used it occasionally on my occasional pimples! It doesn't seem to be effective on acne scars or things that have been there for a while. There's a cooling sensation right after applying it, which I liked. Also, when you apply it, there's a stinging feeling, and it feels like you're applying medicine and it's working, so I personally liked it. It's in a tube form, and just squeezing it out and applying it is convenient. I've also tried the powder type and the pink powder solution you shake, but they were all inconvenient.
