Pros
I had severe acne, but when I applied it and woke up, the effect was definitely noticeable! It seems to have worked well for me, the effect is really amazing. Even just using it for a day, the effect was clearly visible.
Cons
The smell is a bit strange... It's too sticky and gets caught in my hair... Sometimes it comes out like dirt when I rub it.

Since I used about two bottles, I think I've built up a tolerance, and my acne won't go away. I purchased the Mentholatum Acnes Gel based on my friend's recommendation for treating closed comedones. I don't usually have severe breakouts, just a few small ones, but a few days ago I got a slightly larger pimple and about 2 acne spots, so I started using this gel. 1. It has a cooling sensation. My skin was really irritated from improper cleansing, so when I applied this to my acne, it felt soothing and calming. 2. It clears acne. I've seen results from using this product, which is rare for me with acne treatments. Since I only have closed comedones, I'm not sure how effective it would be for severe, cystic acne. 3. The amount is generous. One purchase lasts me over 6 months. It's also reasonably priced at around 12,000 won. It used to be sold at Olive Young, but the brand seems to have disappeared lately.

1. As an acne treatment product, the fact that it contains 7 irritating ingredients is a bit concerning. Personally, I didn't experience any pain, itchiness or stinging, but sensitive skin types should be cautious. 2. When applied, this gel can clump up and leave a white, powdery residue that flakes off. And if applied too thickly, it can peel off like dead skin. 3. If accidentally applied to open acne or pimple wounds, it can be very painful and stinging. I once mistakenly put it on a popped pimple, and my face just burned and hurt so much.
Tip
Applying it with a cotton swab is more convenient! And since it's a gel, wearing a headband while sleeping can prevent it from getting stuck in your hair. If you have closed comedones, definitely give this a try. It's affordable considering the amount, and it really helps clear up all my acne. This is a holy grail product for me!

Pros
I'm worried that if I pop pimples and put on patches, they'll fall off. And if I keep putting them on, I get frustrated seeing them stuck all over the place. But with this, just lightly brushing it on with a cotton swab and letting it dry forms a film that works great as a patch substitute. It actually helps calm things down too.
Cons
If you apply it after popping pimples, it will sting quite a bit. That's how strong the irritation is. And after it dries, even just brushing against it will cause the residue to flake off. It's best not to touch the areas you've applied it to.
Tip
For those of you who think applying a lot or just putting it directly on pimples will really help calm things down - I absolutely do not recommend doing that. In my case, I tried that thinking it would help, but it just led to more bumps coming up in that area and my skin peeling due to the irritation. Just lightly spreading it on with a cotton swab is best.

Around November 2018, I used to only use the Acnes Foaming Wash, but this time I bought the toner, cream, and spot clear gel. Using these products, my acne has really disappeared!! (I only use them in the evening.)
Cons
When I apply this and wake up in the morning, it peels off like dead skin when I touch it with my hands! That's why it says not to apply it with your hands! And the smell is not great;;

The irritating sensation seems to be absent for now. My skin is quite a mess, and I was recommended this product, so I can't say for sure yet. I'll apply it to my troublesome forehead and chin first and see. I hope it works.

It felt like my acne was slightly subsiding. I used it for about two weeks and repurchased it. And I usually apply it generously and sleep, and when I wake up, I can see that it has significantly faded!
Cons

There is absolutely no effect whatsoever. It's definitely one of the products I regret buying the most.
Cons
After applying, it just sits on the skin like scales or flakes. And there's really no effect at all. The acne ointment you can buy at the pharmacy is probably better.
