As someone with specific food allergies, my skin can get inflamed for over a month, becoming itchy and dry like snakeskin, making it impossible to wear foundation. So I decided to try the Bonne Jour BB cream, known for being gentle. It's a cream type, not as runny as an emulsion, but slightly on the thicker side. Given my current skin condition, it absorbs more naturally and feels more hydrating than foundation. Despite having large pores, which BB creams are said to emphasize due to larger particles, this one doesn't accentuate them. I'm quite satisfied with the results. Being a BB cream, you shouldn't expect the coverage and longevity of a foundation. It's more suitable for those times when you just need something to avoid feeling completely bare-faced. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 1, 2019
It's really great as it doesn't cause any blemishes. It also provides decent coverage. The staying power could be a bit better, but on the bright side, it fades naturally, giving a more effortless look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 9, 2018
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, sensitive skin, and prone to small blemishes when changing skincare products, this one suits me quite well. Since I usually only wear sunscreen and don't care much about coverage, I find this better than sunscreen alone as it also evens out my skin tone. The staying power is a bit lacking. It's matte, so if you apply it alone, it's hard to absorb and tends to pill a bit. I've been mixing it with Innisfree sunscreen, and it works wonderfully. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2018
Perfect shade for those with a yellow undertone in the 21-22 range The longevity is a bit disappointing. After about 4 hours without touch-ups, some darkening occurs. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 31, 2017
Even though I have extremely sensitive skin that breaks out no matter what I use, this product is amazing because the ingredients are so good. As a matte formula, it worked great for my combination skin. After switching to this BB cream, everyone around me said my skin looked so much better. The application feels great, the skin expression is beautiful, and I've gone through 3 bottles using it as a cushion foundation. Whenever I use anything else, my acne flares up right away and seems to be a permanent fixture. (Please don't discontinue this product, I beg you!) The color is also very pretty. I'm a cool-toned, fair-skinned person, but when I swatched it, I thought the yellow undertone would be too much - but once applied, it left a lovely beige shade around NC22. The coverage around my nose area breaks down very quickly. The longevity is on the weaker side. It can be drying, so you need to have a solid skincare routine. While the longevity is lacking, if you keep reapplying, it blends seamlessly with the initial application. Frequent touch-ups would be recommended. I really think this is a must-try for anyone with sensitive skin that's prone to breakouts. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 12, 2017
At first, it had a lot of yellow undertones, so I was worried it would look too yellow, but when I applied it, it matched my skin tone well and the application wasn't bad either. I've been using it without any issues, and no additional breakouts have occurred. The coverage is a bit lacking, but it can be used with a concealer. It might work well for those with good skin. For me, the oil started coming through after just two hours, and the longevity was similar to other products I've tried. It's a shame that it doesn't have any UV protection and only comes in one shade. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 3, 2017
Considering the gentle coverage of this BB cream, it has decent coverage. The application is smooth, but there is a slight sense of moisture, which tends to become a bit dry over time. The color is a bit on the yellow side, so it doesn't suit me very well. However, the lasting power is a bit lacking - it starts to stand out in pore shapes after around 4 hours. But since my skin is sensitive, this product doesn't cause any breakouts, so I'm planning to repurchase it. I carry it with me and touch it up periodically. On the plus side, it doesn't cake up when applied thinly. The lasting power is a bit disappointing. It's not that the makeup just disappears, but the pores become extremely prominent and break down. Reapplying makeup is a must. Apply it thinly~ Pat it on to improve the coverage. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2017
This was the first BB cream I bought when I started wearing makeup! I have sensitive skin, so I discovered this product while looking for one with good ingredients. Later, I tried various foundations like Estée Lauder and MAC, but I always came back to this one - the value is unbeatable! First of all, the shade is the most appealing to me compared to other foundations. I have a slightly warm-toned complexion, and this gives me a natural, radiant look. The coverage is also pretty good. I have some redness on my face, and it covers it quite well, though it's not as strong on covering blemishes and spots. The application is smooth, and there's hardly any darkening effect. Most importantly, as someone with huge pores, this really helps minimize their appearance. I absolutely love it! The longevity, though... well, it's a bit disappointing. It lasts around 3-4 hours, and I need to do touch-ups. It's also on the matte side, which can be a pro or a con depending on your preference. After lunch, a lot of oil comes through, making my face look shiny. That's when I use blotting papers to absorb the excess oil. After blotting, if I feel like my makeup has worn off a bit, I use a wedge sponge to do some touch-ups. It's moderately popular, so I really hope it doesn't get discontinued! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2017
My skin is very sensitive, so most drugstore products don't work well for me. That's why I usually look for natural cosmetic brands, and this one was really nice. Other than Dr. Jart, this is a product I could use without any skin troubles. I've repurchased it about three times now. Even though it's a BB cream, the coverage is quite good. I used it exclusively before switching to foundation, and now I still use it when I just want a natural skin look, like when running out to the neighborhood. As a dry-skinned person, I found the oil and moisture balance to be just right, so it doesn't feel tight. And there's no darkening effect! Given the nature of BB creams, the longevity is of course not as good as foundation. And it's a bit of a shame that there's only one shade available. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 25, 2016
The color tone is natural and luminous. My skin is on the darker side, and the BB cream doesn't have a cakey or heavy feel. I have oily skin, and the longevity is not as good as a foundation. It can sometimes get a bit shiny.
