As someone with specific food allergies, my skin can get inflamed for over a month, becoming itchy and dry like snakeskin, making it impossible to wear foundation. So I decided to try the Bonne Jour BB cream, known for being gentle. It's a cream type, not as runny as an emulsion, but slightly on the thicker side. Given my current skin condition, it absorbs more naturally and feels more hydrating than foundation. Despite having large pores, which BB creams are said to emphasize due to larger particles, this one doesn't accentuate them. I'm quite satisfied with the results. Being a BB cream, you shouldn't expect the coverage and longevity of a foundation. It's more suitable for those times when you just need something to avoid feeling completely bare-faced. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 27, 2019
1. Impressive coverage - It genuinely feels like a natural brightening moisturizer, which I love, but despite being a BB cream, it offers quite good coverage. - Personally, I'm very satisfied with this level of coverage! 2. Color - Is this really a BB cream? The color is truly beautiful. - The shade matches my complexion so naturally, which I absolutely love. 3. Longevity - The staying power is really good. - When it does fade, it fades beautifully. - For reference, I have combination, sensitive skin with small blemishes. 4. Ingredients - The ingredients are really gentle. I didn't experience any blemishes at all while using this. - My repurchase intention is 1000737448443338%! 5. Application - It absorbs well, but since I prefer even more lightweight and natural products, I mix it with a brightening moisturizer and emulsion. 6. Price - It's affordable... The price seems reasonable for what you get. - I'm satisfied with the quality at this price point. 1. Packaging - The packaging and container are not great... I wish it was prettier like some other products. 2. Accessibility - Rather than a product flaw, I just wish this brand would become more famous quickly so I could buy it anywhere, anytime. As a fan of Bonjour's skincare products, I feel this works really well with their other items! It seems even better when used with their tube-type hydrating cream (the green one). - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2018
As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm thrilled to report no blemishes at all! Here's what I love: 1. It adheres perfectly to the skin! 2. No sticky feeling whatsoever 3. Looks natural even on fair complexions 4. Covers redness and flushed skin 5. Minimal shine 6. Stays put without much breakdown 1. Pore coverage (mixing with a small amount of primer helps) 2. Becomes matte over time Here's my application tip: Squeeze a small amount on the back of your hand, then dab it onto your cheeks with your fingers. Pat it in with a damp sponge. For oily T-zones, use a dry sponge instead. As the seasons change and my skin gets drier, I mix in a tiny bit of moisturizer for the perfect hydration balance. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 31, 2018
This seems genuinely gentle on the skin. Even when applied thickly, it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating. The color blends naturally with my skin tone. Since I have oily skin, it wasn't matte but felt pleasantly hydrating for me. I love that I can feel confident applying it even on days when my skin is sensitive or not at its best. While everything else is great, honestly, the coverage isn't particularly impressive. It doesn't effectively conceal blemishes or their marks. Also, as time passes and oil builds up, it tends to make pores appear larger. After finishing the product, I clean out the cushion case thoroughly and use it like a palette, squeezing out the BB cream as needed. I find this method much more convenient, even for touch-ups when I'm out. To cover blemishes or their marks, I apply it like a concealer - dabbing a small amount precisely on specific areas. It's a bit more work, but it does provide coverage. I found using a cushion puff more comfortable and effective than a sponge or foundation puff. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 17, 2017
Around shade 22? It was a bit less bright and the color was more natural than shade 23!!! I wish it was a cushion The cushions from the same brand have different ingredients, so it's a bit inconvenient.. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 31, 2017
The ingredients! After getting pregnant, all my criteria for purchasing products have changed. And this color also suits my slightly yellow-toned warm complexion well, so it looks natural^^ I will continue to use this product. Please keep providing such great products~^^! If the promotion had been better, I would have started using this product much earlier.. But I'm glad I found out about it now^^ Many people suggest using a makeup sponge to dab it on, but I find my hands to be more hygienic and convenient. I melted the balm in my palms and then continued to dab it on with my hands. At the end, I lightly misted it with a setting spray to achieve a healthy-looking complexion^^! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2017
This was the first BB cream I bought when I started wearing makeup! I have sensitive skin, so I discovered this product while looking for one with good ingredients. Later, I tried various foundations like Estée Lauder and MAC, but I always came back to this one - the value is unbeatable! First of all, the shade is the most appealing to me compared to other foundations. I have a slightly warm-toned complexion, and this gives me a natural, radiant look. The coverage is also pretty good. I have some redness on my face, and it covers it quite well, though it's not as strong on covering blemishes and spots. The application is smooth, and there's hardly any darkening effect. Most importantly, as someone with huge pores, this really helps minimize their appearance. I absolutely love it! The longevity, though... well, it's a bit disappointing. It lasts around 3-4 hours, and I need to do touch-ups. It's also on the matte side, which can be a pro or a con depending on your preference. After lunch, a lot of oil comes through, making my face look shiny. That's when I use blotting papers to absorb the excess oil. After blotting, if I feel like my makeup has worn off a bit, I use a wedge sponge to do some touch-ups. It's moderately popular, so I really hope it doesn't get discontinued! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 18, 2017
It's been modified!! I use shade 21 and have a bright complexion. At first, I thought it matched well, but after changing the room light bulb and doing my makeup in a brighter environment, it looks a bit dull. It's not as radiant and bright as I'd like. The coverage is good, though. There's no darkening and it looks natural. It doesn't feel like it's going to break down quickly, so I don't feel the urge to wash it off right away (?) It's lightweight and not at all stuffy. It's a bit drying, so I took off one star. But I'm quite dry-skinned, so foundations or BB creams that don't feel drying are quite rare for me... Now that it's summer, it doesn't feel drying at all...haha Based on what others with good coverage have said... I always use a damp sponge to apply it. I build it up by applying it thinly 3-4 times, and that seems to give me decent coverage. After realizing it's a bit more yellow-toned than my skin, I use a brighter cushion to dab on my nose and cheeks. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2017
My skin is very sensitive, so most drugstore products don't work well for me. That's why I usually look for natural cosmetic brands, and this one was really nice. Other than Dr. Jart, this is a product I could use without any skin troubles. I've repurchased it about three times now. Even though it's a BB cream, the coverage is quite good. I used it exclusively before switching to foundation, and now I still use it when I just want a natural skin look, like when running out to the neighborhood. As a dry-skinned person, I found the oil and moisture balance to be just right, so it doesn't feel tight. And there's no darkening effect! Given the nature of BB creams, the longevity is of course not as good as foundation. And it's a bit of a shame that there's only one shade available. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 23, 2016
It was really great! As a student, I was worried that it would turn out too white, but it really didn't look different from my skin tone and looked natural. At the same time, it covered the scars well and took care of the redness. Also, it was a good BB cream that didn't cause any acne breakouts for my sensitive skin^^! I applied the BB cream on top of a moisturizing sunscreen and finished with the Innisfree No Sebum powder, but the area around my nose seemed to have a whitish, caked-on look...ㅠㅜ So even though I used less base makeup and exfoliated, that powdery look would still show up, which was a bit of a downside..But even with these issues, it was still the best BB cream for my sensitive skin!!(It might have been because of the sunscreen, who knows..
