  Pros

  Bought this product because of its popularity! The initial application is smooth, and its primer effect is undeniable!

  Cons

  Unavoidable dryness after use (is there no such thing as a hydrating primer?) The makeup tends to separate after using this primer. When applied around the eyes, it causes the makeup to pill. I guess it's not suitable for the eye area.

  Tip

  They say it's best to apply primer after sunscreen, but that made my makeup separate. I found that applying it before sunscreen actually gives the prettiest, most effective result.

  It covers well and leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and powdery. The texture is slightly firm, reminiscent of a cleansing balm.

  Cons

  Unfortunately, it caused my makeup to pill and felt too drying for me. I think those with combination dehydrated skin might find it quite drying as well.

  It effectively conceals enlarged pores and definitely enhances the overall appearance of the skin. The staying power was impressive too. With its balm-like texture, gently applying a small amount can give you that coveted porcelain skin look.

  Cons

  You need to apply it in thin layers. If you accidentally apply it too thick, you might experience pilling.

  Pros

  I have extremely large pores and sensitive, combination dehydrated skin that's prone to oiliness. I've been using this product for years now. The price is reasonable, and you get a generous amount (a little goes a long way for covering pores and uneven texture). It's not too thick and applies smoothly. For me, it covers pores well, but I see many negative reviews. Don't apply it like a BB cream. Instead, use a tiny amount and gently pat it into your pores. Then, apply a very small amount of foundation, dotting it sparingly on your face. Use a puff to blend it in with light tapping motions for perfect coverage! I use an affordable foundation, and thanks to this L'Oreal primer, my pores don't look emphasized even after work.

  There weren't really any downsides. Like with other primers, if you apply too much or spread it vigorously, it will pill and look patchy. This product effectively covers pores and uneven texture with just a tiny amount.

  Tip

  Apply a minuscule amount, about the size of an ant dropping, and gently roll it over areas with visible pores.

  I'm on my third bottle and I absolutely love it! It makes my skin so smooth and silky.

  On my skin, if my complexion isn't at its best or if I apply even slightly too much, it tends to pill badly and make my makeup look patchy. Also, it's really difficult to scoop out - I have to use a new cotton swab every time to get the product out.

  It's great at filling in uneven texture. There's hardly any scent, and it gives a brighter complexion.

  It's quite thick, so you need to be careful with the amount you use. If you're not careful, your makeup can pill and clump up. I won't be repurchasing...

  Pros

  Base makeup longevity boost! I'm currently using the Clio Kill Cover Founwear Cushion, and there's a noticeable difference between days when I apply this primer and days when I don't! On days with the primer, there's less oiliness, and my makeup lasts significantly longer. Smooths out skin texture! I have quite a bit of uneven texture around my eyes and mouth. While it's not a miracle worker, it definitely helps to smooth things out nicely.

  Cons

  Container issues The jar-type packaging feels less hygienic compared to a tube. I left the lid open while applying, and it collected a lot of dust... I wish they'd change the packaging. Tricky application If you don't get the amount just right, your base makeup can start pilling immediately. I found it works better if you warm it between two fingers, apply in circular motions, then pat with a puff. Even then, you need to use an extremely light touch when applying to avoid pilling! Pore coverage It doesn't dramatically fill in pores. It just makes them appear slightly smaller... I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for perfect pore coverage.
