ConsIf you apply too much, it might lead to pilling as time passes

It absorbs well and helps to some extent with covering pores. If you skip it thinking 'There's not much difference,' you'll regret it and kick yourself when you go out that day.
ConsThe container is on the heavy side. It's strange how just putting this in your makeup bag noticeably changes the weight on your shoulder... If you don't let it dry sufficiently before applying foundation, it peels off like dead skin cells. Sigh... let's try to wake up early.

I've always enjoyed squeezing my blackheads since childhood, and now as an adult, my nose looks like orange peel... I used to get stressed when foundation would settle into my nose pores, making them look even more obvious. Then I stumbled upon this product while searching online... Oh my goodness! I can't believe I've only just discovered this gem now. I feel so silly for not finding it sooner! It's absolutely amazing!! If my pores were a 10 before, gently patting this primer reduces them to about a 2... Of course, it also prevents foundation from settling into the pores. I think I'll be using this for life!! It truly is magic, just as the name suggests.
ConsThere's nothing I dislike about it. Just remember to use a tiny amount and pat it on gently. If you rub it in, it might pill or create a powdery residue like eraser shavings, so be careful when applying.
TipI've found that applying this Magic Primer after moisturizer but before sunscreen and foundation works better for minimizing pores and controlling oil compared to using it after sunscreen. It also prevents foundation from settling into pores. For best results, take a tiny amount on the back of your hand, warm it up slightly by rubbing it, then gently pat it onto areas with large pores.

It didn't cause any blemishes, and I loved how it gave a matte finish. From summer to fall, it did an excellent job as a primer - not only covering pores and wrinkles but also preventing dead skin cells on blemish-prone areas from becoming noticeable or flaking, despite its matte texture. It also minimized foundation pilling.
ConsAs winter set in, my skin started to look noticeably patchy, and the product often rolled off like eraser dust. The jar packaging doesn't seem very hygienic...
TipInstead of rolling it on, gently pat and spread it over a wider area.

I have dry skin and wanted to use a primer for my pores, but was worried that harsh primers might make my skin crack. This one, however, worked well for me. It covers pores effectively, and when I use this primer before applying blush, it gives my skin a smooth texture. I also appreciate that it has gentle ingredients, making it comfortable to use without any concerns.
ConsDuring seasonal changes when pores are more noticeable, the pore-covering ability might feel slightly insufficient at times. It doesn't pair well with hydrating flash balms - it tends to pill up like dirt. For those with dry skin like mine, it's better to use this primer after thoroughly applying your skincare routine, rather than using it with products like flash balms.

ConsIf you apply it even slightly wrong, it pills and flakes off like dead skin. You really have to be super careful when applying it. When I'm in a rush, it's better to just skip this product altogether.

It's not bad!
ConsIt pills way too much... like dead skin peeling off. I'll only consider repurchasing if I can't find anything else...

The texture feels somewhat moisturizing, almost like an oil? It has a dispersing sensation on the hands.
ConsIf you fail to control the amount, it pills up like dead skin cells. Also, not recommended for those with dry skin.

The difference in makeup longevity between days when I use this and when I don't is absolutely remarkable.
ConsIf you apply too much skincare underneath, it can pill like dead skin cells. Make sure to pat in your skincare thoroughly for the base makeup to apply smoothly.
TipFor those with dry skin who tend to apply a lot of skincare products, I recommend letting everything absorb fully until your skin doesn't feel too rich before applying this. Also, it's crucial to follow the usage instructions provided. Since it has a balm-like texture, take a small amount, warm it between your fingers, and then apply. This prevents pilling, ensures even application, and allows your base makeup to go on smoothly.

I bought this product because it had decent reviews and was affordable! When applied in a thin layer, it covers uneven texture and pores so well it's like you've put a filter on your skin. When you pat foundation over it, you can definitely achieve a smoother skin appearance compared to before!
ConsIt pills so, so, so, so badly... I tried patting it, spreading it, everything I could think of, but it pills 6 or 7 times out of 10. Maybe it's my skin... And when I applied it over sunscreen... Oh my goodness... It all came off like dirt on my hands. I usually have a solid skincare routine and let everything absorb before using primer, but I still experienced pilling. Also, despite my regular triple cleansing routine of cleansing water, foam cleanser, and acne-specific oil-free cleanser (with exfoliation every 3 days), I still got a bright yellow blemish on my nose...
TipFor skin that's dehydrated, blemish-prone, and sensitive like mine, where makeup often separates or emphasizes dead skin cells, it's crucial to use gentle skincare products, pack on the hydration, and let everything absorb fully. Then apply a very small amount of primer in a thin layer. If the previous steps haven't absorbed properly or you apply too much, it will pill terribly. If you experience severe pilling when using this with sunscreen, you might need to choose between the two. And remember, thorough cleansing is absolutely essential!
