Then I apply a matte sunscreen, followed by a semi-matte cushion foundation, and finish with a no-sebum powder. Keep this in mind while reading my review: - A little goes a long way, so even though it looks small, it lasts quite a while - Its compact size makes it perfect for on-the-go - It fills in small pores effectively and spreads evenly - The staying power is slightly better than the Revlon primer I used before
Cons- The jar packaging worries me about dust and hygiene - Even with a matte base, by lunchtime my makeup gets shiny, and the oily areas like my nose show some wear - If you don't get the amount right, it can pill and clump. While this is something you need to get used to, it requires more attention to quantity control than I'd like - Applying primer on areas with dead skin cells or excess sebum can actually make your makeup more noticeable
TipEveryone's mentioning the same pro tip, right? It's not just a tip, it's essential! Start with the tiniest amount possible and gradually increase as needed, always checking how your skin reacts. Also, I hope no one's applying primer to dry, flaky areas - but if you are, prepare for disaster. I learned this the hard way! I once unknowingly applied primer to my flaky nose tip, did my base makeup, and ended up looking like I had crusty, solidified snot. What a look!

Quite a few people around me say it's even better than Benefit.
ConsAs someone with combination sensitive skin and large pores, I can't say it covers well. The texture is a bit powdery, but relatively firmer compared to the Banila Co primer. It's moderately matte. As for staying power... I'm not sure. Oil comes through in my T-zone. In short, I can't tell the difference between wearing it and not wearing it.

ConsThe jar packaging is a bit unhygienic. While it's truly top-notch for pore coverage, it's extremely matte. There are quite a few days when it pills or makes my makeup look odd, forcing me to remove and reapply.
TipBe careful with the amount you use

That's what happened to me! Fine lines and wrinkles on your hand disappear like magic, as if erased. While it might not completely hide large pores, it does an excellent job of concealing smaller ones. The staying power isn't perfect, but even Benefit's Porefessional can't achieve that, so I understand. All in all, it's an amazing product for the price. Plus, although the container looks small, it lasts surprisingly long. I didn't expect it, but the ingredients are great too!
ConsThe jar packaging is a bit disappointing from a hygiene perspective, but given the formula, it's understandable. When applied, it makes the skin look somewhat matte, which might not be enough for oily skin in summer, yet could be a bit drying for dry skin in winter. Since silicone is the main ingredient, it's likely that some people won't find it suitable for their skin.
TipIf you apply too much, it tends to pill. It works better if you use a small amount to cover, then use a beauty sponge to remove any excess. This method improves the application.

The ingredients are superior compared to other primers, which makes me reach for it more often. Just applying this gives a nice blurring effect. There's no weird residue, and I really like it. The texture of the product is, how should I say, quite rich.
ConsHowever, it can feel a bit heavy, so you'll need to cleanse your face thoroughly. Considering the texture, it might also attract dust easily. It's slightly matte in winter.
TipApply it by gently rolling it across your skin!

I bought this because the VDL primers I was using weren't cutting it for pore coverage. I mainly apply it on my nose and I'm quite satisfied!
ConsIt's a bit too matte and somewhat challenging to apply. The texture is quite thick, so if you use too little, it might pill up on your skin.
TipSince I have large pores on my nose, I apply a small amount just there. For the rest of my face, I use the VDL primer.

ConsBeing a balm type, it initially seems to cover pores well with a matte and silky finish. However, due to its weakness against oil, the effect disappears quickly.

The nose area looks smooth, but the cheeks... well, that can't be helped. My pores are just too large. The staying power is better than wearing nothing, though I can't say it's amazing.
ConsDust tends to stick to it easily, which might make it seem a bit unhygienic. Also, when applied, it has a matte finish.

The silky texture really fills them in nicely.
ConsFor me, it's too matte and difficult to apply. The foundation tends to separate or pill a bit.

ConsUnfortunately, it stings and itches as soon as I apply it. I guess it's because I have super sensitive skin that reacts easily. It seems that good ingredients don't always guarantee a good product. Personally, Banila Co worked better for me. I recommend testing it in-store before purchasing. Update: The reaction appeared quickly, but it subsided after I washed it off immediately. If you're sensitive or feel it doesn't suit you, it's best to wash it off right away rather than continuing to use it. Due to its matte finish, I'd recommend this more for oily skin than dry skin. It's also harder to control the amount compared to a pump, which isn't great for hygiene either.
