When you pat it on, the staying power is quite good, and it gives a natural color that creates a healthy-looking lip tone. It has a semi-matte finish that can feel dry over time, but using it with a lip balm solves the dryness issue. Applying it full-on can make the color too intense, so it's better to pat it on gently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 6, 2019
First off, I'm thrilled that we can get such a lip product with clean ingredients at such a reasonable price! The color payoff is absolutely fantastic, and the shades are truly beautiful!! I highly recommend this especially to those who love matte or semi-matte finishes. For my autumn warm-toned beauties out there, this is an absolute must-buy! The pigmentation and color are simply gorgeous. The photos below were taken with an iPhone camera without any filters, so what you see is exactly how the colors look in real life. Personally, my lips tend to get flaky if I don't take care of them daily. Since this lipstick has a semi-matte finish, it can feel a bit drying later on if you don't apply lip balm beforehand, even though it feels fine initially. Oh, and a heads up - the 'Peach' shade is particularly warm-toned, so those with cool undertones might want to steer clear of that one. For those who prefer a more moisturizing feel, I recommend applying a lip balm first. Also, I bought both the 'Peach' and 'Sunset' shades, and since the cases look identical, I peeled off the stickers from the original boxes and stuck them on the cases. It's been quite helpful, so I'd suggest doing this if you're planning to buy multiple shades! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 28, 2019
As someone with sensitive lips that get irritated and develop cold sores from most colored lip products, I've been sticking to Popo Cream and Isoi lip balm. Being on maternity leave, I didn't need makeup, but returning to work made me want something more than bare lips. Browsing Hwahae, I stumbled upon the Bom Bom lipstick! I was searching for a non-toxic lipstick, and the affordable price made me decide to give it a try. The application was decent, and while the color wasn't exactly what I expected, I was just happy to wear something with color. You can build up the intensity with multiple layers. I've used it three times now. The first day, my lips felt itchy after a few hours, making me worry it was another failed attempt. Thankfully, the itching subsided, and I didn't experience any irritation on the second and third applications. Most importantly, no cold sores appeared! I'm so grateful for this alone. I'm planning to buy more shades, and the price point makes it even better! The staying power isn't great, and it transfers easily. The scent is average. It's not particularly moisturizing - after a few hours, my lips feel dry, and I need to apply lip balm or Popo Cream. However, for me, just being able to wear lipstick is a win. I apply Isoi lip balm or Popo Cream as a base, then layer the Bom Bom lipstick on top. It's a well-known trick, right? - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 26, 2018
It's easy to remove with cleansing wipes when washing my face, and since it's free of harmful ingredients, I'm using it without any worries. It's too dry, so it doesn't absorb well. Also, after eating and checking the mirror, it's completely wiped off without a trace. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 7, 2018
The ingredients are said to be relatively safe, so there's no guilt in consuming it, which provides psychological comfort. It comes in a convenient lipstick form, making it easy to apply depending on how it suits you. The color is disappointing. It's too dark and the tone isn't pretty. It's not a universally flattering shade for everyone - perhaps that's the limitation of natural ingredients. Also, frequent application leads to dry lips. The 6-month shelf life is both a pro and a con. Many people can't finish it within 6 months, making you wonder if you should discard the remaining product after that period, even if there's a lot left. You need to blend it. Those who can wear it as is can do so, but otherwise, blend or create a gradient effect. That's how to make it work. Applying lip oil or a hydrating product on your lips before bed is one solution. The dryness makes you hesitate to choose this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 24, 2018
Great ingredients! Natural color payoff! Excellent value for money! Emphasizes dead skin cells... Very drying in winter. Staying power is extremely poor. - Hwahae UserOily SkinOct 26, 2018
The ingredients are incredibly gentle! To be honest, I bought this solely based on that...haha. It doesn't cause any burning sensation or irritation on the lips, which is great! And the color turned out to be prettier than I expected, making me love it even more. I was amazed to find such a high-quality product at this price point. As others have mentioned, it can be a bit drying. That's why I apply lip balm first, then the lipstick. The staying power isn't great, but that's common with many lipsticks, so I think it's acceptable. The pros definitely outweigh the cons here. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2018
Great color payoff and long-lasting! The price is wallet-friendly too! I have super sensitive skin, but thanks to the good ingredients, this is the first lip product that doesn't cause any tingling sensation. Even if I layer it over lip balm, it dries out after about an hour. It's not the easiest to remove either. Still, I might repurchase when I finish this one. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinOct 9, 2016
First of all, the color is so beautiful and my sister, who has sensitive lips, said this product doesn't cause any irritation. I will repurchase it. It's a bit drying, so I think it's better to use it together with a lip gloss. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 23, 2015
I could only use Bombon Yeonji because of contact dermatitis, but I'm glad that they came out with a lipstick that is comfortable and nice to use. It's a bit drying, so I have to apply it with lip balm. And the lasting power isn't great, so I have to reapply it often, but the ingredients are good so it's still okay.
