  Pros

  When I wiped with a cotton pad, it felt moisturizing and absorbed well into my skin. I have blemish-prone, oily skin.

  Cons

  There's a slight alcohol scent, so I'll need to use it more to be sure. It's not listed in the Hwahae app, but I think it might contain alcohol.

  Pros

  Since it's mixed with powder and has zero oil, the finish feels incredibly fresh and well-balanced. I loved that it didn't feel heavy or overly matte on the skin.

  Cons

  As I have dry skin, it felt a bit tight. I only used it on my T-zone when blemishes appeared. The scent is Avène's signature powder fragrance mixed with an alcohol smell, which sometimes felt a bit overwhelming. While I didn't notice any significant soothing effects or pore-tightening benefits, I still use it casually when it comes as a gratis item, thinking of it as a way to control excess oil.

  Tip

  There's no need to buy the full-size product of this toner. It always comes as a free gift with Avène product promotions, so I've used enough samples to equal several full-size bottles.

  Pros

  I think my skin really agrees with Avène products. Whenever I get blemishes, just spraying their mist makes them disappear. So, I decided to take the plunge and switch my entire skincare routine to the Cleanance line. Recently, I had a pretty bad breakout of tiny bumps, but after using just the cleansing gel and toner for two days, about half of them seem to have vanished! The formula is completely water-like, so I soak a cotton pad and apply it. It feels so refreshing on the skin. I think I might have to stick with Avène for good... haha!

  Cons

  First off, the strong alcohol smell was quite off-putting while applying it, but I persevered thinking it was medicine for my skin. Also, because it's so watery and fluid, I feel like I end up using more than necessary. The cotton pad gets completely soaked, which is good for gentle application, but it feels like it's wetter than what my face actually needs... It seems a bit wasteful. And surprisingly, it's quite drying. The cleansing gel removes oil, but this just feels cool and doesn't do much else. Even though my skin usually gets sufficiently moisturized just from mist, this left it feeling dry. I think people with dry skin might need to apply something extra!

  Tip

  Since everyone's skin type is different, I recommend trying a sample before purchasing. I was hesitant because I didn't hear many positive reviews from people around me, but after trying a sample, I knew this was the one for me and bought the full size. I'm happy with my purchase!

  I feel like my blemishes are calming down, and after using it several times, I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin

  Pros

  This product seems to contain powder, so you're supposed to shake it before use. It definitely helps control sebum. I have somewhat sensitive skin, but since Avène products generally work well for me, I didn't experience any severe irritation.

  Cons

  The scent... It seems they've added a powdery fragrance similar to Cleanance Expert (emulsion), but the alcohol smell is also strong, making the overall scent... intense and off-putting. It's also slightly drying, but you can compensate by focusing on hydration in the later steps of your routine.

  Tip

  My routine: Avène Thermal Spring Water - This product - Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum - Avène Cleanance Expert - Caudalie SOS Eye Cream - Avène CPI Légère (for dry areas like cheeks and upper forehead) When using this toner with Cleanance Expert, it definitely reduces oil production! When I use a different emulsion, I notice a bit of oil on my nose. However, as mentioned above, the scent is unpleasant and the alcohol smell is strong, so after finishing this, I switched to Martiderm toner a few days ago! The ingredients are better than this one, and it's fragrance-free, so the smell is fine. It also controls sebum. I think I prefer the Martiderm one.
