I've been using this product for years. The key to eye makeup is eyeliner, but I have watery eyes, so even with other highly-rated products, they'd smudge and give me panda eyes. However, this MAC eyeliner truly stands its ground. I highly recommend it to those who hate smudging and excess powder! As you use it, it can feel a bit thick. When that happens, I find adding a few drops of facial oil helps. The brush can be tricky, so beginners might find it challenging to apply. Despite this minor inconvenience, it's still irreplaceable for me. It doesn't come off easily with regular cleanser. To avoid causing wrinkles from rubbing too hard, make sure to use an eye and lip cleansing oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 18, 2020
I'm truly puzzled why this isn't hailed as the best eyeliner out there. It's an absolute must-have for those with monolids, boasting impressive resistance to both oil and moisture. I've tried nearly every famous eyeliner that claims not to smudge on oily eyelids. After almost a decade of testing countless domestic and international products, this one stands out as the undisputed champion. There might be a slight learning curve when you first start using it, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find it quite convenient. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2020
The staying power is truly exceptional without any smudging. It's completely resistant to water and sweat. This product is perfect for worry-free water activities! First off, it's challenging to use because it's a liquid formula. I tried applying it with a different brush, but it's not at all easy to draw smooth lines. Also, while its longevity is impressive, it's equally difficult to remove. It's impossible to cleanse it off the eye area without causing irritation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 23, 2019
The black shade is incredibly pigmented, delivering a deep, intense color. The staying power is exceptional, and it doesn't smudge easily. Being a liquid formula, it might take some practice to apply smoothly. Once applied, it's challenging to make corrections, though this speaks to its excellent longevity. If you're not confident with liquid liners, try using a different brush for application. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 19, 2019
This product has incredible staying power. Even with my extremely oily skin, this liner doesn't smudge, so I use it with complete confidence. It even survived a trip to the water park, which is why I keep using it consistently. I've tried many eyeliners, but none have been as good as this one. However, the high price point is a drawback, and the applicator is a bit inconvenient, requiring the use of a separate brush to apply it. Also, it dries quickly once applied, so you need to be careful during application. - bu*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2019
A friend recommended this to me... I have what they call 'doll eyes' with visible inner rims. My natural double eyelids make it impossible to apply eyeliner on the lids without smudging, leaving me looking like a raccoon or panda. I had given up on eyeliner for 30 years, but this is a game-changer! Of course, I still can't draw on my eyelids due to my eye shape, but I can apply it thinly along the lash line or fill in between lashes. It doesn't budge until I wash it off - actually, it barely comes off even when I do! The MAC Liquidlast is truly impressive. Sigh... It's a bit disappointing that the brush lacks firmness. Due to my lack of skill, I have to hold my shaky hand with the other one. Removing it requires vigorous rubbing with an oil cleanser, and then irritating the inner rim with a cotton swab soaked in a special cleanser. While it doesn't smudge, the removal process is somewhat frustrating, haha! For those with large double eyelids where the inner rim is visible when eyes are open, try this: After applying mascara, use an eyelash curler. Then, fill in the inner rim or between lashes. The result looks as natural as semi-permanent eyeliner. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2019
I've been using this eyeliner exclusively for years. My eyes tend to water a lot, causing other eyeliners to smudge and fade quickly. However, Point Black stays put until I remove it with makeup remover. Make sure to use a dedicated eye makeup remover. Otherwise, you'll have to rub your eye area too much, which could lead to wrinkles. For those with permanent eyeliner tattoos, just slightly lift the tail end of the line with this product. - ga*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 1, 2019
This legendary eyeliner has been famous for ages as the absolute champion of smudge-proof wear. On my eyes, where most eyeliners tend to smear, this one stays put without a single smudge. It's perfect for tightlining (it doesn't budge even on the waterline) and great for creating wings (though it can be tricky to apply). The staying power is unbeatable - even if you don't remove your makeup before bed, it won't budge at all! 1. The extreme longevity makes it challenging to remove without a dedicated eye makeup remover. Most regular cleansing oils won't cut it. 2. It's difficult to apply. An eyeliner brush is a must-have. 3. It dries quickly, so you need some skill to apply it effectively. - my******Dry SkinRecommendedAug 4, 2019
Most eyeliners smudge and turn me into a panda, but this one doesn't budge even when I cry. The staying power is incredible, and it won't come off until you use an oil-based remover. Despite its drawbacks, this is the only product that keeps me from looking like a raccoon, so I have no choice but to stick with it for my eyeliner needs. It takes a while to dry, so if you blink accidentally before it sets, it transfers to your eyelid. Also, the built-in brush is practically unusable. I have to dispense some product on the back of my hand and apply it with a separate gel liner brush. As a result, I always need to clean the back of my hand with an oil-based remover before heading out. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 1, 2019
My face is quite oily, and since my LASIK surgery, my eyes have become super sensitive. Eye makeup would quickly smudge, and my eyes would often sting. The difference between wearing eye makeup and not was so drastic that I didn't want to give up. I've tried every eyeliner that claimed to be long-lasting, but they all smudged. This one, however, is truly a game-changer! The downside is that it's a bit challenging to remove, haha! Many people say it's difficult to apply, but since I have an eyeliner tattoo, I only need to draw the tail, so it wasn't difficult for me at all. For those who find it hard to apply, it's recommended to use a separate eyeliner brush.
