I have acne scars and quite visible pores. I usually use Benefit Porefessional, but in summer, my makeup gets oily with just a bit of sweat. Compared to that, this one definitely feels more matte and long-lasting. It seems much more suitable for midsummer than Porefessional. For my skin, it appears to be more effective at covering pores than Porefessional. Being in a jar format that you have to scoop out, it's less hygienic and more inconvenient than the tube-type Porefessional. It's a waxy balm type, so you need to warm it up well before applying to avoid clumping. Maybe it's because of the ingredients, or it could be my imagination, but sometimes I get blemishes after using it. The built-in puff isn't really useful. I take a very small amount on the back of my hand and warm it up by rubbing with my fingers. Once it's sufficiently melted and pliable, I lightly apply a small amount to my cheeks and nose. It sets quickly, so apply as fast as possible before it hardens and clumps. Applying too much also causes clumping and creates a powdery effect. After application, I gently press with a damp sponge, which helps reduce clumping. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 18, 2018
I tend to use primers more for makeup longevity rather than filling pores, and when I apply this product to my T-zone, it definitely keeps my skin feeling powdery-soft for longer! This is my first time trying this primer, so it's hard to compare with others, but I've had a good experience with it. After checking the ingredient list here, I realized the ingredients aren't particularly great, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 28, 2017
I can never forget the excitement I felt when I first used this product. It performed a magical feat by erasing my enlarged pores. I was amazed to see those crater-like enlarged pores disappear. In the middle of summer, I would apply this along with sunscreen, fill in my pores, and go out - the longevity was impressive, and I experienced less oiliness. The advanced technology of developed countries is truly remarkable... I've been using a few bottles of this for years now. You have to scoop out just a tiny amount, melt it, and apply. Some people even heat it with a hair dryer to melt it, but I found that simply rubbing it between my fingers to melt it works just as well. The results seem to vary day-to-day depending on the condition of my skin. Some days it applies smoothly, while other days it's not as great. This seems to be unavoidable. Perfection 100% of the time is likely impossible. You should use only a tiny amount. Using more doesn't necessarily mean more pores will be filled. Apply just a small, melted amount and gently dab it over the targeted areas to fill in the pores. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 6, 2016
This is a holy grail product for oily skin! I've been using it for several bottles now. It covers pores, controls shine, and absorbs excess oil - my makeup lasts for hours without disappearing. (Of course, individual results may vary depending on skin type and foundation differences.) By the way, I have oily skin and have been using this together with Double Wear for a very long time! It would be great if they included 2 puffs in the packaging. You'll need to repurchase the puff once you've used up about half of the product. When using this for the first time, it's easy to apply too much product. Lightly melt the product by holding the puff a few inches away and blowing on it for 2-3 seconds, then gently dab it onto the skin. If you don't melt it first, the product can clump up on the puff and get unevenly applied on the skin. You want to apply it in a very thin, seamless layer without it looking cakey. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 13, 2015
Long-lasting!! Stays bright and vibrant even during touch-ups :) Not recommended for those with sensitive skin. You need to be careful with puff management, and it tends to cause itchiness or allergic reactions, so it wasn't great. The application is not very smooth, so if you don't have time to work on the base before applying foundation, the makeup can get patchy. Considering the cost-effectiveness, you might want to consider other products for better coverage. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 10, 2015
It seems to be a really satisfactory primer that not only makes the skin texture look better in areas with prominent pores or excessive sebum, but also prevents makeup from breaking down and improves its longevity. I've tried other types of primers like squeeze tubes or lotion-like textures, but the balm type is definitely better for the skin texture!! The only downside seems to be the high price, but other than that, I don't have any complaints. Haha I find that applying it with my fingers works much better than using the built-in puff. And it seems to work best if I wait a little bit after applying the primer before putting on foundation or sunscreen, so that it doesn't get cakey.
