  Pros

  It can feel a bit heavy when applied on hot days, but it's not sticky. The fermented ingredients work well for me, and the brightening components make my skin texture smoother and clearer. Personally, I love the luxurious and pretty opaque glass bottle packaging - that's a bonus. While it's a 'dupe', it actually contains more effective brightening ingredients than the original product, and I've recommended it to many people.

  Cons

  For a water-based toner, the 130ml size comes with a higher price tag, so it's best to wait for a sale. There's a fermented scent that's reminiscent of rusty metal, but it's tolerable. The lactic acid helps with dead skin cell removal, but sometimes it feels a bit irritating. I'm desperately wanting to try the version without this ingredient...

  Tip

  Though it feels wasteful, applying it generously with a cotton pad rather than just with hands makes it feel more refreshing and pleasant. I'm 200% likely to repurchase.

  Pros

  It's hydrating and more affordable than other water-type essences. I think it has a brightening effect. When I apply it to my neck and face, my face definitely looks brighter compared to below my neck.

  Cons

  When I first used it, it stung a bit and my redness that had disappeared came back, which was very disappointing. But after about 3 days of use, it got better.

  Tip

  I use it by soaking a cotton pad generously. Sometimes when I want to do a mask, I soak several cotton pads thoroughly and apply them to my face for 15-20 minutes before removing. This definitely makes my face look clearer, more hydrated, and gives me a feeling of a brighter complexion. The next day, my skin seems even better.

  Pros

  The next day after applying, my complexion looks radiant. My skin feels firmer, and makeup goes on smoothly. It provides great hydration, and its effectiveness in soothing blemishes is absolutely outstanding.

  Cons

  I'm not sure about its anti-wrinkle effects, but its brightening effect is good.

  Tip

  If you squeeze a pimple and then apply this essence on a cotton pad over the area, it calms down quickly.

  Pros

  I snagged this during a sale for just $10 after the renewal. Love how it wraps around my face so nicely. It's lightweight and you can see the brightening effect right away. When I apply this to my face, it instantly looks more radiant!

  Cons

  While there are no real downsides, it's not particularly rich in oils. So if you have dry skin or it's wintertime, you might need to layer a cream on top.

  Tip

  Since I have combination skin, I don't use a cotton pad to apply it. After using toner with a cotton pad to refine my skin texture, I warm this product in my palms and gently press it into my skin. Maybe that's why my complexion looks so much brighter the moment I put it on!
