The color is totally my style, so even though it's a cool-toned shade for summer, I occasionally wear it despite my deep undertone. When I wear this color, I've gotten compliments on how pretty it looks. I'm not sure why, to be honest! It probably shouldn't suit me, but I guess the color itself is just so beautiful. It's got a strong plum undertone, so if you're not cool-toned for summer, you might end up looking like a radish. The texture is quite waxy, like a crayon. Apply this when your lips are in good condition. Instead of covering your entire lips, try dabbing it on for a gradient effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsOct 13, 2022
The color is truly beautiful. It's a hot pink that reminds me of Barbie dolls. It's a perfect pink for summer use. While it has a fluorescent quality, it's not an overpowering neon. I can't use this myself. The color isn't neon-bright, but it's still quite vibrant. It's the ultimate cool summer tone. Unless you have very fair skin, don't even attempt to try it. Absolutely avoid if you have yellow undertones in your skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2021
I was looking for a vibrant color, and this one is absolutely perfect! It has a matte finish, which might accentuate dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2021
It's a cool-toned pink that brightens up your face when applied! While it might be a bit intense if you fill in your entire lip line, applying it over lip balm and gently blotting creates a radiant, sparkly, and adorable look. If you apply it heavily following your lip line, it can look a bit excessive - like your lips are floating on your face! For a natural, luminous effect, apply over lip balm and gently blot. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 17, 2021
Among existing colors, nothing can match Candy Yum-Yum for its intense magenta with blue undertones! It's so vibrant without any dullness, making it incredibly clean and beautiful. It's perfect as a summer lipstick for those with cool undertones. Rather than lining the full lips, it's better to define just the lip contour and fill in naturally. Pair it with a thin blue or violet eyeliner for the ultimate cool-toned summer makeup look. Before the pandemic, I used to rock this with some cool-toned shimmer on the lower lash line and a bold winged liner for a striking festival look. I hope we can soon enjoy wearing bold lip colors like this again! Even for cool-toned individuals who suit lower brightness, you can make it more wearable by blending it inwards with a cherry red like Dragon Girl or Gangnam Pink. If done right, it can give you gorgeous doll-like lips. When it matches well, it brightens up your face, makes your features pop, and gives you a fresh, clear complexion. Unless you're using it as a base color, this shade is quite bright and limited to those with fair skin. When applying, you need to be very meticulous with your base makeup. Apply it over a flawless, even complexion achieved with concealer to avoid any awkwardness and ensure it blends naturally with your skin. Also, as this is a very matte lipstick, I don't recommend pairing it with intense highlighters as it can create a jarring contrast. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2021
The color is surprisingly shocking. When applied lightly, it's an extremely cool-toned white with a hint of light purple, and a fluorescent pink hue. However, as a base lip color, it's truly... unbeatable! Just dab it along the edges and layer a darker lipstick in the center, and it looks absolutely stunning! While the Retro Matte line is even more matte but doesn't emphasize dead skin cells much, the Matte line actually tends to highlight flaky skin a bit more. The color is so cool-toned that even cool undertones might look a bit chilly when worn alone, so be sure to test it before purchasing! I usually layer Ruby Woo or Flat Out Fabulous on top, and it's absolutely fantastic. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 7, 2021
Highly recommend this power cool-toned shade! It gives a clean and bright look. Usable all year round and can be mixed with other colors. Great for full lip application, patting on, or creating gradients. It has a lovely azalea-like hot pink hue that's timeless and always useful. A sophisticated pink that's sure to impress! For cool-toned folks, you probably already have Candy Yum Yum and NARS Schiap as essentials. While MAC's color is more vibrant, NARS has a smoother application. I tend to reach for NARS when using it alone, probably because of its clean finish. It's great on its own, but I also like to mix it with YSL Rouge Volupté Shine 7 to adjust the saturation. Both are intense colors individually, but when mixed, they create a beautiful cool-toned pink lip. If you like a hint of white in your lip color, you'll probably love this. - ju*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 23, 2021
This is the original magenta pink that needs no introduction. Many people mistakenly think it's only for cool-toned skin, but with a solid base makeup, even I, with warm-toned skin, use this color most frequently. The only drawback is that there are no drawbacks. It's truly candy yum-yum delicious. If you apply concealer to your lips first, you can control the color intensity from subtle to vibrant, and the staying power is excellent. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020
This is a vibrant pink lipstick that's not commonly found in drugstores. While it's not highly pigmented, it creates a beautifully delicate look when applied as a gradient. Being a matte lipstick, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells, so you need to pat it on gently for the best application. - da**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 6, 2020
I have a cool undertone with a slight redness, but my skin isn't extremely pale or porcelain-like. Lipsticks in coral or orange don't suit me, while purple, pink, or vibrant shades look great. Even with reds, only those with purple or pink undertones work well. I desperately wanted to wear MAC's Morange, but it didn't suit me. So I chose this color instead, and although I was worried it might be too bold, it turned out to be incredibly flattering once I applied it! Given its unique color, it's unfortunately limited to spring and summer wear. Rather than applying it in broad strokes, gently dabbing it on creates a prettier look overall.
