[Highly subjective review ahead.] I stumbled upon this product while reading reviews for The Ordinary. One review caught my eye, leading me down a rabbit hole until I discovered this gem. I'm truly grateful to the person who wrote that review... • True to its name, it's packed with ingredients suitable for sensitive skin • The formula is bursting with hydration • In summer, it might be sufficient on its own, but in this harsh, windy weather, I mix it with oil. Perfection! • It strikes an excellent balance between oil and moisture There's so much more to say... but I'm not sure how to express it. It's just... so good for me. Why is that?... I've stocked up on so many that I'm absolutely thrilled! It's a discontinued product.... But if you're determined to buy it, you can somehow manage to track it down and purchase it if you search hard enough! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 23, 2018
Does this even need an explanation? Are there any? Pro tip: You can still get it if you order directly from overseas. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMar 16, 2018
This product was truly gentle on my skin with zero irritation. I was impressed that it contained no harmful ingredients for the body. It's such a shame this amazing product is no longer available. I'm really disappointed it's been discontinued. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 22, 2018
I stumbled upon this emulsion as a hotel amenity, and now I'm even on the Hwahae app trying to find it. Can't believe it's discontinued! How are hotels still getting these amenities? Maybe I'll have to buy from someone selling hotel amenities on secondhand markets. This is truly a life-changing emulsion. With this alone, you don't need moisturizer or essence. If your skin feels dry, just apply a second layer. It absorbs well without any pilling. They need to sell products, don't they? After trying this, I can't use anything else! - im******Dry SkinSensitive SkinNov 29, 2017
As someone with dehydrated, sensitive skin, the soothing effect is so amazing that it's become my holy grail. No more product hopping, haha! The cylindrical tube lasts much longer than I expected! While it excels at calming the skin, it falls short in providing deep hydration I replenish moisture with aloe first. In summer, I just layer the All Sensitive on top. In winter, I mix the All Sensitive with Aveda tea tree oil before applying. It's absolutely fantastic! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 22, 2017
This product deserves a Nobel Peace Prize and a perfect 10-star rating because it brought peace to my skin: - Balances oil and moisture perfectly - Lightweight texture that absorbs like a dream, yet has incredible staying power. How is this even possible?! - As someone with dry skin, I always skipped emulsions and went straight for creams. But this? It's a game-changer. It actually feels like it's hugging my skin. - The full-size comes in a pump bottle with gentle ingredients. What's not to love? - Goodbye to my old favorites - ISOI Propolis Cream and Sidmool Madagascar Cream. (Sorry, but thanks for everything!) - I wish I could give everyone with skin concerns like mine at least a sample sachet of this miracle worker. - My skin used to frequently get itchy and stinging in certain areas, especially my cheeks, leaving them swollen like mosquito bites. But those symptoms have reduced by 90%, and I can't help but do a little dance of joy. - Initially, I was taking medication and worried this might be causing occasional blemishes. But I trusted my instincts, kept using it, and once I stopped the meds, I experienced the most comfortable, softest skin of my 30 years (and counting). - Even without exfoliating, my skin texture and pores have visibly improved. - My complexion has brightened significantly, and some of the lighter pigmentation around my temples has disappeared, while the darker spots have faded. - My skin feels comfortable and like it can breathe. As a result, I rarely experience redness anymore. - Oh, and it doesn't cause my makeup to pill! - This is truly a holy grail product. Who says sensitive skin products can't have dramatic effects? Here's the proof! - The one fatal flaw: it's been discontinued. I even emailed Aveda Korea and their headquarters. Here's hoping the chairman will be moved and reverse the decision. - From what I understand, they've sold out of stock in Korea, but they say a sensitive version will be released in May under the Botanical Kinetics line. I'm worried the ingredients and formulation will change. - I should have grabbed it while I could, even though it was discontinued. - You can still find it online if you look hard enough, but who knows for how long? (It seems some hotels distribute it as an amenity, judging by the packaging.) - If I had to nitpick, the price might be an issue. It was around 50,000 won for 5oz. Buying the amenity version works out to about 45,000 won for 8oz (including shipping), which isn't bad. The downside is it comes in those open-air travel containers you find in hotel bathrooms, not a pump bottle. - But honestly, even that seems like a luxury complaint given how amazing this product is. As long as my skin type doesn't change, I'll be using this until the day I die. - They say to minimize your skincare routine for sensitive skin, right? That's why I keep it simple: COSRX mist for toning, The Ordinary Niacinamide, this product, and hemp seed oil. Sometimes I'll use Uriage Toléderm cream before the oil if needed. - The combination of niacinamide, this product, and hemp seed oil seems to work wonders. - To anyone out there struggling with persistent skin issues and constantly checking Hwahae for solutions - give this a try! I can't guarantee it'll work for everyone (we're all different), but it's worth a shot. - I loved it so much I gave some to my oily-skinned sister. She loved it too and asked where to buy it! - Update 30/11/2017: Still loving it! In winter, using just The Ordinary Niacinamide and this isn't quite enough in my dry office. So I've started using Acwell Sun Gel, which I used to find too moisturizing, and now it's perfect. Not dry at all. I just wish I could keep finding this even though it's discontinued! - qw*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 16, 2017
I have seborrheic dermatitis, sensitive skin, redness, and blemishes, but after using this, my seborrheic dermatitis, redness, and blemishes have all improved. The ingredients are truly excellent. In winter, I usually finish my daytime routine with skin emulsion and use a night cream in the evening. Now, I'm applying this emulsion twice in the evening, and it works wonders. It feels perfect to apply in this weather. Highly recommended! I wish it came in a larger size... It doesn't seem to have a bigger option available. The price? It's a bit expensive, but it's so good that I'll definitely buy it again. You don't need a separate cream. Applying this twice doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. I have combination skin, but it doesn't feel dry at all. - dv**Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 5, 2017
It's amazing! Of all the emulsions I've used, this is the first one that absorbs so deeply and leaves my skin feeling so hydrated! I used to have a lot of blemishes and combination dehydrated skin, but since using this, I haven't had any breakouts. I'm worried it might be discontinued as it's becoming harder to find even at duty-free shops. This product absolutely must not be discontinued! While there's nothing to complain about in terms of effectiveness, the only downside might be the price...? But honestly, even if it becomes more expensive, I wouldn't mind as long as it doesn't get discontinued! Even though I have oily skin, I feel like this alone isn't quite enough, so I layer it with Physiogel cream. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDec 16, 2016
The concentration is just right, and it doesn't cause any blemishes, which is great. I first tried it as a hotel amenity by chance, and I've been buying and using it ever since. I have no complaints so far. It's not specifically designed for facial use. I wish it had a slightly more matte finish. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinNov 22, 2016
Personally, I think Aveda's hair products are a bit overrated, while their skincare line is underappreciated despite having many excellent products. This moisturizer, true to its sensitive skin focus, is free from harmful ingredients and packed with components that help stabilize and hydrate the skin. The texture feels incredibly gentle when applied, and if you don't mind the slightly tingling herbal scent, it's perfect to use in the emulsion step of your routine. As with any cosmetic ingredient, one of Aveda's signature botanical components might trigger an allergic reaction or side effects for some individuals. Additionally, while it's not officially discontinued or scheduled to be, for some reason it's constantly out of stock on the official website and often missing from department store shelves, making it surprisingly difficult to get your hands on. If you're planning to use it long-term, it might be a good idea to stock up when you can find it.
