As someone with fair skin, I really loved the color. It was wonderfully hydrating too. The coverage was also decent enough. Unfortunately, all the good points were overshadowed by what happened next. After using this, my skin completely freaked out. I've never had blemishes on my cheeks before, but... well, let's just say I now know which ingredients don't agree with my skin. Pro tip: Using a damp beauty sponge makes the application even more hydrating, which is great. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 28, 2017
Since my skin is on the fairer side, I usually use shades 13-17, but this one was just perfect - it brightened my complexion nicely and matched my skin tone beautifully. The color is a lovely ivory shade ❤ I had been using the Jini foundation, but it was causing me some breakouts, so I switched to this one. It's great - no more breakouts, and it's moisturizing yet has pretty good coverage. Most importantly, the color is absolutely gorgeous, and it applies very smoothly, giving my skin a lovely finish!! Wearing this makes my skin look so healthy and radiant 💕 I'll definitely repurchase once I run out 💕 There seems to be a lot of the foundation left inside the container, but I can't really tell how much is left 😞 The Espoir blending puff works amazingly well with this foundation 💕 - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 20, 2017
Bright colors are the best for this. You just lay it as a base, then add cushion + concealer... It has more coverage than you'd think, so I recommend it for bright skin tones. It accentuates flakes, clogs pores, and the brushes are limited in what they can do. It really makes my skin look bad. It crumbles terribly and is just awful, but I've been using a few bottles of it because of the color. You absolutely can't use it on its own for dry skin... It's a real torment. My boyfriend pointed out my skin for a while when I was using this and wearing concealer on top. It was so stressful. Be sure to apply it with the dedicated brush. The application is great. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 1, 2017
Even when I applied the wrong foundation shade, it didn't get darker than my actual skin tone right away. Just looking at the radiant color, I was amazed! Since I don't usually use concealer, I was careful when applying this, but on days when I'm not doing a full face of makeup, I can wear it alone and it seems to cover small blemishes and dark spots to a certain degree. There was no dryness, as the foundation itself is quite thin, and the longevity was good for me. The downside is that if you mix it with a damp sponge or foundation primer, it can get clumpy and cakey. I applied it with a dry sponge or a brush! Personally, I find that applying it as thinly as possible with a brush or my fingers, then lightly tapping over it with a sponge to remove any brush or finger marks, gives the best skin-like finish. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJul 17, 2017
My skin type is extremely dry and sensitive Using products with poor adhesion causes my makeup to easily come off ㅜㅜ I'm still searching for my holy grail, but this product is among the top tier It has good adhesion and coverage. It's not too drying either I apply a thin layer with a sponge and finish with a luminous cushion foundation ㅎㅎ Red acne cannot be fully covered with this product alone You'll need to use a concealer together with it - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 12, 2017
The coverage is medium-high, with a suitable level of moisture. (But it's not extremely dewy) The finish is also quite nice. The color is also pretty. If luxury foundations feel burdensome and you're hesitant about very affordable options, this is recommended. These days, you can even find coupons online to make it even cheaper. Recommended for those new to foundation! It really has a similar feel to the Lancome Teint Miracle. It's a bit thicker than the Lancome one, and the coverage is a bit higher. The level of dewiness is also similar. Continuing the comparison to Lancome, this product has a bit more darkening. It's not severe, but it is present. And I've heard that this product doesn't work for some people around me. Please keep that in mind. I have skin in the 17-21 shade range, and I bought the porcelain shade considering the darkening. At first, it looks a bit ghostly, but after 3-4 hours, it blends in well with my natural skin tone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 21, 2017
This is a liquid type foundation. 1. I don't like it when the skin expression becomes thick and stuffy, but if you apply it in small amounts, it can express a thin and moisturized look! On the day when you have had a good sleep and your skin condition is good, you can express your skin with this and after about an hour, you can get a really nice glow and porcelain-like skin expression. This is a foundation that makes good skin even better! 2. It's quite moisturizing, but the coverage is not zero at all. I think blemishes and spots should be covered with a concealer, so the coverage doesn't seem to be a big problem. I would recommend this foundation to those who want a more transparent and thin skin expression, rather than those who have a lot of trouble or blemishes and want the foundation to cover them a bit more. 3. The color spectrum is relatively wide, so you will have a lot of options to choose from. In my case, I went to the store with just sunscreen on and told the staff member about the skin expression and color I wanted, and then tested it and used it. For those with porcelain-colored skin who feel that they don't look radiant even when using shade 21, it would be good to test it out. Let me summarize the drawbacks I've experienced after using it for a year. 1. Exaggerates poor skin condition As mentioned in the advantages, it can elevate your skin to the best on good skin days, but when applied on bad skin days, it seems to accentuate the issues. If you use it on days when you haven't had proper sleep or have flaky skin, it can have the opposite effect. Your pores may become more prominent, and flakiness may occur. 2. Breaks down due to temperature changes Since it's quite moisturizing, I think many people might use it in the winter. However, when you go from the cold outside to the warm indoor environment with heaters, it seems to break down quite messily at times. Of course, the foundation breaking down also depends on what you have applied underneath, but in my experience, the temperature difference also plays a role. 3. Dryness As this foundation is famous for dry skin types, many dry-skinned people might want to try it. But rather than just purchasing it, it's better to test it first. At first, it may feel moisturizing, but over time, it can start to feel dry and flaky. However, if you apply too many moisturizing base products, it may not absorb properly and start to slip. I'd recommend doing a test. 4. Longevity In the summer, it might be better to look for a different foundation. I have combination skin, and while the cheek area is relatively fine with powder application, the T-zone area severely lacks longevity. Especially in the summer, I wouldn't recommend this to those who dislike frequent touch-ups. I would recommend this foundation to those who want a more transparent and thin skin expression, rather than those who want to heavily cover up their skin imperfections. I think this is a foundation that makes good skin even better! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 8, 2017
This is an extremely positive review! With proper skincare and a solid foundation, you can achieve porcelain-like skin when applying this product. Great! I've heard this product is very moisturizing, so I've been hesitant to try other high-coverage and matte foundations. The color itself is lovely and suits my skin tone well. The common shade 21 tends to make the skin tone appear dull, but this product just gives a fresh, glowing look with a single light application! However, it does seem quite brightening - even with a thin layer, I noticed I looked unusually pale when checking the mirror indoors compared to being outside. I love red lips, but they appeared ghostly with this foundation. Still, I'm happy with the radiant finish! There's no darkening or excessive breakdown either, which is nice. The coverage may not be as high as the moisturizing properties... I usually just apply a thin layer, but even with concealer, it can look patchy when it breaks down. (It may just be my poor makeup skills, though...) But since it's so hydrating, I'll probably keep using this forever... As I have dry skin, I use the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream before applying this foundation. It helps make my skin more supple. After the Dr. Jart+ and sunscreen, applying this foundation results in a great skin finish 👍🏻 Over time it can get a bit dry, so having a solid skincare routine and applying it that way is key. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2017
It's great that it's so moisturizing! I switched from Maepo and it's much more moisturizing now. The ingredients also seem gentle. When I used Maepo, I would get pimples if I wore it all day, but that doesn't happen with this one. The color is not dull, but a pretty ivory. The coverage is also decent. The adhesion is a bit lacking. It tends to lift around the sides of my nose. I only get oily in the T-zone, but over time that area gets shiny and my makeup starts to wear off, even if I apply powder there. Hmm.. I think it might be a bit stuffy to use this foundation in the summer if you have both oily and dry skin. It would probably be best for spring, fall, and winter. I'm in the medium range, around 13-21, and 21 is too dark for me, so I end up mixing 13 and 21. There are a lot of reviews saying Porcelain is too light, but I think those with a similar skin tone to mine would be satisfied with it. It actually gets a bit brighter over time after application, so keep that in mind when testing it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 9, 2017
The color... 💕 Even if I don't know much about other things, I really have to praise this one color a lot.. This is the first time I've found a foundation color that perfectly matches my fussy complexion. I have a very, very pale face with some redness, but this foundation really helps control the redness while expressing my skin tone perfectly (my skin tone doesn't usually look very pretty when I wear makeup). The color is really well-picked! Pretending to be moisturizing.. Is it foundation? It's actually not moisturizing at all, it only feels moisturizing when you first apply it, but then it starts drying out (even regular matte or semi-matte foundations are better than this one in terms of moisture). A foundation that's only pretty in the morning.. I'm satisfied with using other products, but this one really raises my expectations too much in the morning, and then it starts looking weird from lunchtime on 😭 The breakdown is so messy, I can't even describe it. Anyway, it's only pretty when you first apply it 😭 The reason it's not as pretty later on is probably because the adhesion really, really drops off.. The moisturizing ones I've used so far have been moisturizing but also firmly adhered, but this one is not like that 😭 Maybe try using a base that can help increase adhesion.. 😭 It can vary a lot depending on the tools you use. For a moisturizing expression -> a damp sponge For a semi-matte -> a wedge sponge or an all-over piece sponge Give them a try!
