ConsWhile there's nothing particularly disappointing, it doesn't feel extremely hydrating. It has a slightly matte finish, so you might not get that super moisturized feeling.

Usually, when I use something that doesn't agree with me, I wake up with blisters the next morning. Even if my lips were super dry, I couldn't risk applying anything before bed. Just the fact that this doesn't cause blisters is a huge plus for me!
ConsWith other products, I used to apply a thick layer after skincare, then wipe it off before applying lipstick to remove dead skin cells. This one absorbs into the skin instead. It doesn't really remove flakes, just kind of calms them down. Personally, I prefer matte lips, so I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't give a thorough exfoliation.
TipI wouldn't go as far as highly recommending it, but it's a safe choice. At the drugstore, you can often find it on a buy-one-get-one-free deal or with a free 15ml Cicaplast Baume B5.

The tube packaging is great - no worries about it melting in your pocket or getting nicked when closing the cap like with stick versions.
ConsWhile it's not completely ineffective for hydration, after it absorbs, there's a dry, surface-level feeling. It's like wax or petroleum jelly - creating a surface barrier without really supplying much oil or moisture. If you apply it before bed, you'll wake up with hard dead skin cells on your lips. It's not that it's making existing flakes more noticeable due to a matte finish, but it's almost as if it's creating a new layer of dead skin through some kind of regenerative effect. Whether it actually has regenerative properties or not, it doesn't seem appropriate for a lip balm. It quickly made me regret not buying Burt's Bees or something similar, even if those might melt a bit.
TipAlthough it's in a tube, the contents are quite thick, so you need to squeeze harder than expected when first using it.

I'm reapplying it frequently!
ConsThere's not much to dislike, but if I had to find something, it feels slightly matte for a lip balm
TipI apply it generously before bed or reapply throughout the day!
