  I'm not really sure... It just says it forms a protective barrier and strengthens the skin on your lips.

  Cons

  While using this, my lips cracked severely, so I applied this lip balm more frequently. But no matter how much I applied, it didn't improve at all. So I tried a different stick lip balm, and my lips that had suffered for 2 weeks healed in less than 2 days. Is the hydration power of this product that bad? Moreover, the balm itself seems a bit hardened, making it difficult to squeeze out. When applied, it feels like it's removing the moisture from my lips. The staying power is also terrible! Even after just 10 minutes, my lips feel completely dry, and the lip balm seems to disappear quite quickly. There's really nothing good about it. Due to a buy-one-get-one-free deal, the remaining one is now rotting away in a corner somewhere.

  Tip

  Squeezing it out is a bit inconvenient. So, I'd suggest squeezing it all out into a macaron cream-like case, then using a hair dryer to melt it down, and letting it solidify again. That might make it easier to use.

  Pros

  - The gel dispenser opening is small, making it easy to apply.

  Cons

  - Causes a lot of dead skin cells buildup. (I've used it a few times, but I'm not reaching for it.) - Depending on the weather, the gel can become quite solid. You need to squeeze it well. - Didn't see results worth the price.

  Tip

  - Make sure to warm it up well in your hands before use.

  Pros

  It's so affordable... When you buy it as part of a buy-one-get-one-free deal at the drugstore, it's incredibly cheap!

  Cons

  This is truly the worst among lip products from Avène, Bioderma, Uriage, and others. First off, it's rock-hard at room temperature, making it extremely difficult to squeeze out and use. If you don't warm it up in your hands and just try to apply it directly from the tube, it doesn't absorb into your lips at all. Instead, it feels like it's stealing moisture from your lips... ugh. And if you do squeeze some onto your hand and warm it up before applying, it just feels like a regular lip balm, but here's the kicker - it disappears so quickly! You barely feel any hydration on your lips, it's like it vanishes into thin air. It's absolutely terrible. You're better off buying Nivea or Vaseline instead.
