  I started using this product after reading online reviews recommending it for symptoms similar to cheilitis. It's lightweight and non-sticky, applying like an emulsion. Easy to spread with fingers, it feels like it creates a moisturizing barrier with its ointment-like texture. The small opening allows for controlled dispensing, preventing too much product from coming out at once.

  Cons

  While it's not short-lasting, when I apply it before bed, it seems to have disappeared by morning. Rather than being absorbed, it feels like it's just preventing surface dryness. Unfortunately, it had no effect on my cheilitis-like symptoms.

  Pros

  If you buy this during a buy-one-get-one-free promotion or sale period, it's a product that offers great value for money! It applies smoothly, and the tube packaging is convenient. Plus, you get a generous amount of product!

  Cons

  The tube packaging is fine overall, except for the inconvenience of having to squeeze really hard to get the last bit out. On very cold days, its staying power tends to decrease - you might need to reapply it a few times!

  Pros

  This is hands down the most comfortable lip balm I've ever used in my lip care journey. I initially bought one, then got another during a buy-one-get-one-free deal, and ended up finishing three tubes. It has an ointment-like texture, but it applies so lightly without feeling heavy on the lips. I used to wipe off other lip balms because they felt uncomfortable, but with this one, I can apply it generously without any issues. It's also incredibly gentle. Most lip balms give me a slightly uncomfortable or tingling sensation when applied, but I didn't experience any of that with this one.

  Cons

  The staying power is quite short... It seems unavoidable that lighter formulas don't last as long. Personally, I prefer reapplying a light formula multiple times rather than having something heavy that lasts longer. However, if you're looking for a long-lasting lip balm, this might not be the best choice for you.

  Tip

  You can often find buy-one-get-one-free deals or promotions where they give you a small cica balm at Olive Young or Watson's. Since it's something you'll use for a while, it's a good idea to take advantage of these deals and stock up.

  Pros

  I tried this when my sister asked me to buy it while I was living in Europe. I ended up getting one for myself too. The texture is moderately rich and applies a bit thickly, but it's not overly oily. It's definitely not a thin application. The packaging is convenient as you don't need to use your hands to apply it.

  Cons

  Many people say it's good, but honestly... not so much for me. Whether my lips were very dry or not, I didn't see any significant effects. No matter how consistently I applied it, my lip condition didn't improve at all. The initial feeling doesn't last long - the staying power is really poor. It's an ambiguous product that's not really suitable for continuous application either. For a lip balm, it doesn't feel like it adheres to or absorbs into the lips to provide hydration. Personally, it feels like the lip balm and my lips are separate entities. Most importantly, it stings when applied to chapped lips. I really don't understand why this product is so popular.

  Pros

  Although it's a tube type, it's not sticky, making it perfect for spring and summer! Despite being a non-sticky formula, it seems to maintain good hydration. Even when doing makeup, if you apply it before starting and put on lipstick a while later, it doesn't pill or slide off! While it's a bit heavier than stick lip balms, I'm satisfied with its lightweight feel for a tube lip balm.

  Cons

  I haven't tried it in winter, so I'm not sure about that. Since it's a non-sticky tube lip balm, I'm uncertain about its lasting power in colder months. However, it seems much more moisturizing and long-lasting than the similarly non-sticky Himalaya lip balm!

  Pros

  This is the product my dermatologist recommended when I went in for cheilitis. I've tried everything for cheilitis, but this works the best. It provides incredible hydration! The scent is sweet and pleasant. My cheilitis hasn't flared up severely again. Among all lip balms, this one takes the crown.

  Cons

  Well... it doesn't seem to last very long. However, it's great that it prevents my lips from cracking.

  When I apply a generous amount before bed, my lips feel wonderfully hydrated in the morning. You really need to slather it on for the best results.

  The staying power is disappointingly short. You have to apply a ton of product to get any hydration on your lips. If you have a lot of dead skin cells on your lips like me, I'd advise against buying this.

  I'm not really sure... It just says it forms a protective barrier and strengthens the skin on your lips.

  Cons

  While using this, my lips cracked severely, so I applied this lip balm more frequently. But no matter how much I applied, it didn't improve at all. So I tried a different stick lip balm, and my lips that had suffered for 2 weeks healed in less than 2 days. Is the hydration power of this product that bad? Moreover, the balm itself seems a bit hardened, making it difficult to squeeze out. When applied, it feels like it's removing the moisture from my lips. The staying power is also terrible! Even after just 10 minutes, my lips feel completely dry, and the lip balm seems to disappear quite quickly. There's really nothing good about it. Due to a buy-one-get-one-free deal, the remaining one is now rotting away in a corner somewhere.

  Tip

  Squeezing it out is a bit inconvenient. So, I'd suggest squeezing it all out into a macaron cream-like case, then using a hair dryer to melt it down, and letting it solidify again. That might make it easier to use.
