When my face feels too tight and I'm about to go crazy with an oil mess, I've found this formula like Vaseline to be very helpful. There's a comforting feeling to it, and even after applying, it has a luminous finish. If you have dry skin, you'll know the feeling - your pores and individual skin cells cracking open like a drought... It's agonizing, not even allowing for makeup. Slathering on oil might provide some relief, but then there's the issue of the greasy sensation... And if you do try to apply makeup, the oxidation causes darkening due to the oil... So I'm glad I found this. Thank you. This was my experience through the winter, and nowadays in the rainy summer season, I don't use it as much. The skin feels heavy too... :) But I'm keeping it for use in the winter. It didn't cause any milia around my eyes. There are no other active ingredients, but that's a plus. (Niacinamide could have been used for brightening, but it's probably not dosed high enough to make a difference anyway, so they didn't go that route.) A moisturizer just needs to moisturize, after all.
ConsIt creates a film on the skin. Of course it's great in the winter, but in the summer it feels suffocating, and it has a heavy, greasy feel from all the glycerin they've packed in. If you dislike that 'coated' sensation, you won't be able to use this, and if you have oily skin, it's likely a product you won't reach for year-round.
TipIt's given out a lot on home shopping channels. I finished a jar and kept the empty container. You can donate it to those in need around you. Moms really seem to like this formula. The manufacturer is Cosmax.

On very dry days, I add a small amount of facial oil. On healthy skin days, this product alone leaves my skin feeling comfortably moisturized. I also like the tube packaging. During the nearly 2 weeks of using this, I didn't experience any trouble or breakouts, even with my sensitive skin.
ConsAfter a dermatological treatment, my skin became a bit drier, and using this product alone for daily care caused my face to feel tight and painful when I woke up in the morning (but applying Physiogel and going to sleep resolved the issue by morning). It's quite dense and rich, and I thought it would be enough to just use this alone before bed, but the moisturizing effect doesn't last long. I personally don't prefer products with a lot of layering steps, so I had to add other essences to help with the moisturizing function of this cream. (Is this an 'active layered cream' that requires active layering?) After application, I can feel an oily, slippery residue on my hands and face surface. I don't like that slippery, heavy feeling, so I had a poor first impression of this cream. The slipperiness and heaviness mean I have to apply it thinly, but then the moisturizing power is lacking. And even if I apply multiple layers to get better hydration, the slippery feeling doesn't go away no matter how much I pat it in. I find that products like Physiogel or Eucerin provide longer-lasting hydration and leave less of an oily, slippery residue on my skin after application. It's kind of like makeup with poor adhesion... I'll use up what I have, but I don't plan to repurchase this.

Powerful moisturizing power! I applied it before bed and in the morning, and it felt comfortable all day long without any tightness. I have dry skin, and my cheeks were even cracked and bleeding due to lack of moisture and oil. Regular products tend to make my skin feel tight during the day, so I often have to reapply, but with this, I hardly had to reapply except around my mouth area after brushing my teeth. It seems to lock in moisture very well, even just using the toner twice before. 2. Soft feeling after cleansing When I cleanse my face in the morning and evening, there's a soft, smooth feeling the moment the water touches my skin... It feels supple without any stickiness or tightness. Those who have tried it will know what I mean, but it's hard to describe in words. 3. Makeup applies well. With the good moisturizing, my skin doesn't get as flaky, so my makeup doesn't cling or look uneven. I don't have to put in as much effort to touch up my makeup throughout the day. Some people have mentioned their makeup sliding off, but for me, the lack of visible flakiness allowed for a smoother makeup application. 4. No fragrance! I don't really like strong fragrances, so I appreciate that this product has almost no scent. 5. Packaging The jar design prevents the cream from getting recontaminated, which is great for hygiene. It's also easy to use up the product completely.
Cons1. Spreadability Since it's winter, my hands are often cold, and the cream didn't spread as easily or melt as well... When I warmed my hands and then applied it, it spread well, but I remember being startled when I first tried to apply it with my cold hands. Haha. 2. Feeling of heaviness With the great moisturizing, there's a thick, clogged feeling when you first apply it? Especially when the air from your nose touches the skin, it feels a bit stuffy. A strange sense of heaviness? It's better once it's absorbed, but those who dislike that heavy feeling might find it challenging. 3. Difficulty mixing with other products I usually like mixing creams, but since this has a balm-like texture, it doesn't blend in well with other products, which is a bit disappointing. 4. Strangely, I developed some breakouts along my hairline. My skin is otherwise smooth and I'm using it well, but the hairline area... I wonder why? 😢

Container Personally, I really prefer this kind of metal container. I like the feeling that it minimizes contact with air, allowing me to use the product freshly. The product was sealed, and I opened it using the cap like a tube of ointment. 2. Moisturizing Power So far, I've used products in this kind of metal container from brands like Centellian24, C&P, and Avène. Among them, this cream had the best moisturizing power. It matched the claim about suppressing flakiness. Due to the nature of the main ingredient glycerin, this product doesn't seem to directly provide a lot of moisture to the skin. However, it seems to well preserve the moisture the skin already has or the moisture from the previous cosmetics applied. Lately, as I've entered my mid-20s and the winter season, my face has been getting dull and flaky, but after using this product and doing my makeup, the flakiness miraculously disappeared! 3. Gentleness The cosmetic products from the brands I mentioned earlier... I experienced clogged pores and irritation, so I didn't repurchase them. But this product adapted to my skin without any such issues. I also like that it doesn't contain artificial fragrances. 4. Brightening Effect Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but the more I used it, the more my complexion seemed to brighten in a strange way. It's not that it makes my skin whiter, but brighter. I'm not sure about its wrinkle improvement function.
Cons1. Price I have no intention of purchasing it at the original price in the 50,000 won range. It's not like there are any patented ingredients, so why is it so expensive? Honestly, it's not even a well-known brand (I acknowledge the blood, sweat, and tears of the Cosmecca researchers), so I'm curious how this pricing structure came about. If it were in the 20,000 won range, I would have continued using this product until alternatives came out! If it were 19,000 won for a 30ml volume, that would have been even better. 2. Difficulty in Blending Recently, I've been using a toner to smooth my skin texture, then applying a mix of facial oil and a Physiogel lotion/aloe gel. When I tried to mix this product with my current facial oil, they didn't blend well. So I gave up on blending and just apply this as a final protective layer. 3. Lack of Moisture Using this product alone lacks moisture, so those with dry skin may feel it's drying. I think if you first provide moisture to the skin with a lotion or serum and then apply this, the moisture level can be sufficiently covered! 4. Forgettable Product Name There are so many brands with "derma" in the name. Also, when I asked my English-native friend, they said the "z" in the name sounds a bit strange. Why not just use a Korean name? When I searched for "Dermaflats" on Naver, I only saw blog posts about advertising model recruitment and promotions. Of course, initial promotion is necessary, but I think if they changed the name and lowered the price, it would sell much better.
TipTo maximize the moisturizing feel, it's better to use this cream not on its own, but after applying a serum or lotion to provide that extra boost of moisture beforehand!

I've been transitioning from oily to combination skin lately, and I used to not feel any tightness on my face even in the dead of winter, but recently all parts of my face except my nose have been feeling tight. The areas around my mouth, the sides of my nose, and the center of my cheeks are the worst. So as soon as I saw the word 'Layered', I immediately applied for the Hwahae Trial. As soon as I opened it and applied it to the areas around my mouth, forehead, the center of my cheeks, and the sides of my nose, it remained moisturized and non-tight for a long time (I didn't wear any makeup all day). In short, it's an extremely moisturizing cream for winter. The design is also completely my style. The harmony of gray and pink is very nice. A lot of people look at the design when buying cosmetics, don't they...? Is it just me...? I think this product is perfectly optimized for dry skin types.
ConsIt's too heavy...... Not in terms of weight, but there's a sense of heaviness when applied on the skin. It's supposed to be used as the last step in skincare, but lately I've been just smoothing on a rich cream right after toning. The other creams get absorbed well without needing to pat it in a lot, but this one feels a bit stubborn. You really have to pat it in well to get it absorbed. Occasional small bumps come up. I don't usually wash off my makeup well before bed, and that's when I get those little bumps, but with this cream, they don't seem to go away as easily....... I wouldn't recommend this to oily skin types or those prone to small bumps.
TipI want to get this for my sister, who has extremely dry skin. ㅜ.ㅜ For oily skin, this ultra-moisturizing cream was a luxury.

It has a light, airy feel to it! Despite the lightweight texture, the moisturizing power was quite good, and my skin felt more comfortable compared to when I used other creams. I didn't notice much at first, but starting from the second day on Thursday, my skin became really smooth and supple! It also absorbs well when applying makeup, which is an added bonus! It has a slightly oilier feel, so I think it would be great to use in the winter.
ConsThere was no virgin seal. I'm not sure if that's normal, but a virgin seal would have given a cleaner, more premium feel. I don't know why it was missing, and there was no tamper-evident packaging or seal that could indicate this is a new product, which was disappointing. And the packaging! Jar-type containers are really inconvenient. If you press down too hard, you can't take it back, so I ended up applying the excess to my arms and legs. And as expected for a cream, it has a rich, oily texture, so if you're looking for a more hydrating moisturizer, this might not be the best choice. It's also quite expensive, with a very high retail price.
TipI've been using it little by little! I squeeze out a small amount, spread it evenly over my face, and apply an extra layer on my cheeks. Morning Routine: Cleanse with Plant Nara Skin Toner > Layer Skinfood 0.9 Moisture Essence 4 times > Apply It's Skin LI Effector 1 layer > Use Derma Pleat Cream > Add a small amount to cheeks > Sunscreen Evening Routine: Cleanse with Plant Nara Skin Toner > Apply It's Skin GF Effector (not impressed with the reformulation) > Use Skinfood Propolis Essence > Apply Derma Pleat Cream > Spot treat forehead and brows with Badecasil > Use Aritaum Mugwort Pouch Pack on brows Using this routine, my skin texture has improved a lot! +After using it for a while, small bumps started appearing on my forehead again...ㅜㅜ The definite thing is that it's better to use your regular skincare products after establishing a healthy skin barrier for about 2 weeks..ㅜ

It has excellent lasting power and is easily absorbed. At first, I applied the same amount as my previous moisturizer, but this product is quite oily, so it felt a bit stuffy. Then I squeezed out a small amount (about the size of a bean) and mixed it with a lotion or light moisturizer, which made it feel comfortable without the stuffy sensation. The texture is a bit thinner than Madecassoside, so it was easy to apply. The scent is slightly like ointment if you bring it close to your nose, but it didn't bother me at all. The biggest advantage of this product is that while the surface of the skin appears oily, it doesn't feel stuffy or uncomfortable at all. I think this would be a great product for those with dry skin.
ConsAs I have combination skin, I felt the oil content was a bit too much for me. My hair got stuck and it felt greasy, so adjusting the amount was a bit tricky. I wouldn't recommend this to those with oily skin.
TipFor those with combination skin, it might be best to mix it with a lotion or light moisturizer before applying.
