This product lives up to its 'matte' name, though it's not as matte as I expected. (I usually use Etude's Dear My Enamel Lipstick.) Compared to my usual lipstick, it's more matte, but not as matte as MAC lipsticks, which I actually liked. MAC lipsticks are too matte for me and tend to emphasize dead skin cells on my lips. This one strikes a nice balance - not too moisturizing, but not overly matte either. It's just right, which I found surprisingly pleasant. Now, about the color! As I'm not a true autumn warm tone, the shade wasn't entirely to my liking. I typically go for a red-to-orange ratio of 8:2, but this color is more of a muted, dried rose shade that screams autumn. It took me by surprise at first. So, I applied a thin layer to tone it down, let it set, and then layered a darker shade on top to finish the look. Usually, I just apply one color and I'm done, but using this as a base made the overall color appear more polished. Oh, and I love the clean, simple design. I prefer this minimalist style over flashier packaging.
ConsIf I had to point out a downside... The main issue is that it's not my go-to color, so I don't reach for it often. It's perfect for those who love autumn warm tones but prefer subdued lip colors rather than vibrant ones. As I lean more towards summer cool tones, the color wasn't quite right for me. Other than that, I didn't notice any other drawbacks. It didn't even emphasize dead skin cells much!
TipI use this as a base lip color. Since my natural lip color is somewhat pigmented, I use this to tone it down. I don't have any special tips to share, unfortunately.

When I had my friends try it on, they all looked a bit sickly. Also, the design is quite common... After getting this lipstick, I kept seeing identical ones online, but when I clicked, they turned out to be different matte lipsticks! Haha, I fell for that a lot. And the ingredients aren't great... but then again, there aren't many lip products with good ingredients, so... ------------------- December 19th Update After continued use, I've noticed the staying power is a bit short. However, because the color itself is light, you don't notice it fading right away. It's hard to explain, but I think those who use these calm colors will understand! Still, I love that it applies smoothly without emphasizing dead skin cells, and doesn't get darker with reapplication. Unlike with darker tints, you don't need to remove and reapply. It's become one of my go-to shades!
TipIf you apply this over the Skinfood Lip & Cheek (I'm not sure of the exact name, but it's the fig one), it's a perfect match. It gives off the vibe of that last male model photo!

As a warm-toned person, the more I apply, the better it adheres. I tend to look better in orange rather than pink, and in muted shades rather than vibrant ones. While Salsa Red suits me well, this shade is lighter, making it more versatile for everyday wear!
ConsAfter using this product, I finally understood what 'emphasizing wrinkles' means... haha. It also has a 'yogurt effect' (separating on the skin). While moisturizing formulas are easily removed by rubbing with fingers, this one is matte and doesn't come off easily.
TipIf you apply lip balm at the beginning and occasionally throughout, it seems to glide on smoothly without any excess.

The color is a brick shade with orange undertones. There's no hint of pink, so it should be suitable for warm-toned individuals. I expected it to feel like applying crevasse filler, similar to MAC's matte line, since it's marketed as a matte lipstick. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it glides on - it's remarkably soft for a matte formula. In my opinion, if you exfoliate and apply a thin layer of lip balm first, it won't feel heavy at all. It's a comfortable matte that doesn't weigh down your lips! I was surprised three times: first, when I saw the lipstick itself, which looked more orange-coral than expected; then when I swatched it on my hand and it appeared more brown than the bullet color; and finally when I applied it to my lips, where it looked less brown than on my hand. It's quite the chameleon! I absolutely love the texture of this lipstick.
ConsI can't say the staying power is exceptional. However, rather than breaking down messily, it seems to blend more naturally with my lip color over time. I have a light complexion with a deep undertone, so I usually prefer brighter, more moisturizing formulas (my holy grail is MAC's Huggable in Fashion Force). For me, this shade looked a bit dull and aging. I think it would be perfect for those with deep, muted undertones! Cool-toned individuals should definitely steer clear of this one.
TipAll the photos below were taken with an iPhone 6 rear camera using the default filter. (I've blurred my skin as I'm not wearing any makeup.) The lip swatch appears slightly more coral in the photo than in real life. It has a bit more of a brown undertone in person. Since I don't have any lipsticks in a similar shade, I've compared it to some well-known products for reference... MAC See Sheer - MAC Vegas Volt Woodbury Sugar Rose - Missha Merida Brown This shade has noticeably stronger orange undertones compared to these three distinctly different products.

This one seems to highlight dead skin cells less. It only shows the natural texture of my lips, which I think is expected for a matte lipstick. The color has more of a coral tone than I expected. It's more coral in person than in the photos, and on my lips, it appeared as a subdued brown-tinted coral. Of course, the color may vary from person to person, so take this as a reference. I think it would suit warm-toned individuals well. As for staying power, true to its matte formula, it stays put unless you eat something. When I first went to apply it, I was intimidated by how matte it looked. But once I swiped it on, it applied better than expected and didn't emphasize dead skin cells as much, which I appreciated. Oh, and the lipstick handle has a rubber-like texture that feels nice to hold!
ConsThere's nothing really disappointing about this lipstick. I just hope this one is sturdier, as my previous Missha lipstick broke off not long after I started using it.
TipPro tip: Apply a generous amount of lip balm the night before for fewer dead skin cells the next day. And on days when you have a lot of flaky skin... maybe skip the matte lipstick!

For a matte lip, it's not drying like a crayon. It's just the right level of matte that those with dry lips can try after exfoliating! It's also less likely to settle into fine lines. The color would suit those with deep undertones well! It's perfect for autumn. I like that fingerprints don't show on the packaging, and it feels sturdy.
ConsAs I have a deep autumn complexion, this color is a bit ambiguous for me... However, I'll wear it layered. It's more of a muted apricot shade than brown. Due to the nature of matte lipsticks, if you don't exfoliate, you might encounter all the dead skin cells hiding on your lips^^ Exfoliation is a must! Oh, and because the cover is transparent, any lipstick smudges are very visible, which is a bit disappointing.
TipCool-toned. Those with deep warm autumn complexions should try layering it.
