It glides on smoothly without clumping, giving a crisp and sleek finish. If you exfoliate your lips well, you can achieve a beautiful look. The staying power and adherence are also great. The case has a sophisticated matte finish, and the best part is the clear lid that lets you see the color right away.
ConsThe shade 'Merida Brown' has more of a white undertone than expected. Those who look best in dried rose or brick colors might find it makes their face appear sallow. Since I really can't pull off white undertones, I use it as a base and layer other colors on top. My mom thought it was the same as the Bbia shade, but this one has a much more orange tone (personally, I think it's more orange than brown). Orange shades don't suit me, so while I could use the Bbia one even during the day, I can't do the same with this.
Tip(October update) 1. The bottom swatch in the second photo is Merida Brown. The others are lipsticks I regularly use. On an LG phone, the color appears very close to how it looks in real life. 2. Photos 3 and 4 show Merida Brown layered with Bbia Old Rose (top right in the second photo). Taken in natural light at 7 AM.

I was already satisfied with Missha's Matte Lip Lacquer, so I had high expectations. While it's marketed as matte, it applies smoothly and doesn't feel too matte to me. It seems to adapt its finish depending on the situation. I liked it so much that I went back to Missha and bought more shades! I have four colors: Merida Brown, Joyful Ann, Lovely Belle, and Wendy Land. Joyful Ann is similar to Mamonde's Red Pepper but a bit more subdued. Lovely Belle is an MLBB shade with a hint of pink. Wendy Land is a vibrant pink that reminds me of The Face Shop's Finger Gloss in Natural Pink. When I went to buy them, they had a promotion: buy two, get a 3-color lip palette free. So I bought three... Little did I know all the colors I bought were in the palette too!
ConsThe color is much lighter than it appeared in photos. At first, I thought it would be similar to Joyful Ann based on the pictures, but it's not at all. It's more of an orange-tinted brown, if that's even the right description. Also, while the case has a matte coating that looks luxurious, it wears off easily when you carry it around, making it look shabby. It seems this is a common issue with Missha's matte line products, including their lip lacquers.
TipThe second swatch photo (image 2) shows three shades that are quite similar overall, especially on the right side of each swatch. The texture and overall feel are more accurately represented in the first swatch photo (image 1), so I hope this helps as a reference. For Merida Brown, the color in the second swatch photo seems to be the most accurate representation of the actual shade.

Even more super matte than the original Matte Rouge While the original Matte Rouge had a hint of moisture, this one is absolutely perfect matte with zero hydration. It's like it's screaming, 'I'm matte, y'all!' 2. Beautiful shade for those who rock coral colors I usually choose my lipstick based on my foundation tone for the day, and this would pair wonderfully with a warm-toned foundation. 3. Sturdy case If I had to pick one flaw with Missha lipstick cases, it's that the painted parts tend to peel, making the cap loose. This product, however, has a metal fixture for the cap, making it incredibly durable. 4. Department store scent? It's a scent I personally love... haha! Since the fragrance is right up my alley, I think I'll feel great every time I apply it.
Cons1. Emphasizes dead skin cells While it's a necessary evil when wearing matte lipsticks, with this super matte formula, exfoliation is an absolute must! 2. Not recommended for cool tones I might have slightly cool undertones, as the color seems to clash a bit... Since it has a strong orange tint, it's crucial to test it out first. The product is more orange in person than it appears.
TipLet's exfoliate!

For a matte lip, it's not drying like a crayon. It's just the right level of matte that those with dry lips can try after exfoliating! It's also less likely to settle into fine lines. The color would suit those with deep undertones well! It's perfect for autumn. I like that fingerprints don't show on the packaging, and it feels sturdy.
ConsAs I have a deep autumn complexion, this color is a bit ambiguous for me... However, I'll wear it layered. It's more of a muted apricot shade than brown. Due to the nature of matte lipsticks, if you don't exfoliate, you might encounter all the dead skin cells hiding on your lips^^ Exfoliation is a must! Oh, and because the cover is transparent, any lipstick smudges are very visible, which is a bit disappointing.
TipCool-toned. Those with deep warm autumn complexions should try layering it.
