Personally, I didn't find it unpleasant. I bought it because it's supposed to be good for dark spots and blemishes. Given its texture, it might be too much for those with oily skin. However, if you have dry skin, it could be worth trying. It provides decent hydration, doesn't cause irritation, and is said to help with dark spots and blemishes.
ConsIt causes eye irritation. Don't use eye drops after applying this product. I ended up with tears streaming down my face.

As soon as I applied it, it calmed red marks, managed scars, and even soothed blemishes. I was skeptical due to its smell and color, but after just two applications, the redness on my face disappeared. When I don't use it, something big seems to flare up, but when I do, it calms right back down.
ConsIt's pricier compared to other options, and the smell can be off-putting. If it gets near your eyes, it can cause a stinging sensation. While it's fine in summer, being an oil, it solidifies in winter...

Especially during winter, the area from under my eyes to my cheeks gets extremely dry. In my 20s, I used to be a walking oil slick. I was practically an oil-producing nation, but as I've aged and my workplace is very dry, I haven't needed blotting papers for over 5 years. Nowadays, I feel so dry that I've changed my skincare and makeup routine. My old routine was toner-essence-sunscreen-powder, but now it's toner-essence-moisturizer (first layer)-moisturizer (second layer, mixed with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream)-topped with 2 drops of oil, pressing it into my skin with warm palms for maximum absorption. If I feel it hasn't absorbed enough, my sunscreen tends to pill on top of it. That's how dry my skin is! Purchase motivation: I discovered this product through a beauty YouTuber. Given my age, I have some dark spots on my cheekbones, and the YouTuber raved about its brightening effects. I bought it hoping it might fade my dark spots a bit. Texture: Being an oil, it does feel oily, but not overwhelmingly heavy. I think anyone except those with very oily skin could use it during the day. I've tried jojoba oil too, and this feels lighter to me. Brightening effect: I've only used one bottle, but haven't seen results yet. Scent: It has a distinct scent, but I don't find it overpowering. Color: It's Shrek-green! It leaves a temporary green tint on the skin when applied, but it fades quickly. Ingredients: I'm not certain, but I've heard that Madagascan tamanu oil is the best quality. That's why I chose the Sidmool one. Downside: I'm not sure if it's just me, but when I apply this, my eyes water so much I can barely open them. It's like the stinging you get from some sunscreens, but much worse. At night it's fine since I'm going to sleep anyway, but during the day, I can't keep my eyes open due to constant tearing, even when I only apply it to my cheekbones. I wanted to use it during the day for faster brightening effects, but it's just not possible. Repurchase intention: Despite trying various sunscreens, I've never experienced such severe eye stinging. Nevertheless, I'll probably buy it again to use at night, hoping for those potential brightening effects.
ConsThe eye stinging is severe. If I apply it during the day, I end up in tears and find myself crying at work.
TipIf you experience eye stinging, just apply it at night before bed. I absolutely can't use it during the day.

It's moisturizing and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight.
ConsIt has a green tint that transfers. It washes off, but when I apply it generously, it stings my eyes.

Mix 90% aloe gel + 10% centella asiatica extract + 1 drop of tamanu oil Apply this mixture all over your face. I swear... The results are mind-blowing! From a 10-year acne warrior
ConsMake sure to avoid the eye area. It stings like crazy around the eyes!
TipMix and apply!

Though I haven't seen any dramatic effects...
ConsIf you accidentally apply it too close to your eyes, it really stings! Also, it absorbs so slowly that it's a bit uncomfortable to do activities after applying it.
TipI don't have any special tips to share... I thought it would suit oily skin well since the ricinoleic acid content is similar to oleic acid. While it's truly great for hydration, it absorbs too slowly. If something touches your face while you're active after applying it, the oil gets wiped off in that spot!
