I bought this Lagom cleansing foam for my morning routine after seeing Risabae use it exclusively in her YouTube Shorts. The name made me think it'd be super gentle. When I tried it in the morning, I was surprised by the lack of foam, but then I checked the box and realized it's supposed to be that way! While I usually just rinse with water in the morning, I figured this would be better at washing away the oils that build up overnight. It's nice that it's so gentle on the skin. It feels like I've just washed with water. Doesn't leave that refreshed, clean feeling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 30, 2024
I'm the one to blame for not noticing how it gradually got worse from the start. I was too slow to realize. At first, I thought it was good and used up one bottle. I even bought four more to stock up. I use it as a light first cleanse, but gradually my face started itching and feeling sticky. My makeup began to darken. I'll have to use it on my feet or throw it away. It's the worst. It seems like it has a lot of oil that doesn't get removed and stays on the skin, causing darkening. I should never stock up on products. I just wasted money. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 19, 2023
Skin type: Dry, sensitive, prone to redness and facial heat. Fragrance: Almost unscented, but if you put it close to your nose, there's a very faint scent reminiscent of men's toner. It's not bothersome though. If you apply it casually, you won't even notice the scent - it's that subtle. Texture: It's a thin gel type that transforms into a water-like consistency when applied. For those with dry skin who find it inconvenient to carry a water cleanser, this could easily be decanted into a small container or pouch for on-the-go use. Cleansing and Hydration: The cleansing power is decent, though I used it as a second cleanser so I can't speak to its makeup removal capabilities. From a dry skin perspective, when used as a second cleanser, it didn't feel overly stripping. Instead, it left my skin feeling cleansed yet moisturized, seemingly preserving the skin barrier. It's incredibly gentle - my eyes barely stung during the entire cleansing process, suggesting it's non-irritating. Unique selling point: As a gel-to-water cleanser, it seems particularly suitable for those with dry skin. Due to its gentleness, it might not be suitable as a primary cleanser for removing makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2021
I did a self-cleansing test by applying lipstick, mascara, and eyeliner on the back of my hand. Everything except the waterproof mascara came off easily. After washing, my skin doesn't feel tight at all. I tried the self-cleansing test, but it didn't lather up, so I wasn't sure if I was cleaning properly. I couldn't tell if it was water or cleanser, making it hard to determine if there was any residue left on my face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 29, 2020
I loved how gentle and lightweight it was, perfect for everyday use! It struggles to remove heavy makeup and its cleansing effectiveness is a bit weak. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2020
Its gentle formula makes it perfect for a light morning cleanse. While it's great for morning use, it feels a bit lacking in cleansing effectiveness. I'd recommend using it lightly, just for your morning routine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 22, 2020
▫️Cleansing effectiveness: Average ▫️Texture: Gel-like Perfect as a morning cleanser when regular cleansing foams feel too harsh for the natural oils produced while sleeping. There's a slight feeling that it doesn't cleanse thoroughly, but overall it's not bad. A little goes a long way, so be careful not to over-dispense. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 12, 2020
The gel texture makes it feel light and easy to use in the morning While it's comfortable to use, it leaves a slippery feeling afterwards, making me unsure if I've cleansed properly - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2019
I've used water cleansers before, so I had no reservations about this one. I liked that fresh feeling, which is why I decided to try Lagom's product as well. My skin is super sensitive, so even products that claim to be good for healthy skin often don't work for me. While I don't necessarily break out, my skin can turn red or become itchy. I used this product as my morning cleanser: Cleansing effectiveness: Since I used it in the morning, it's hard to judge its deep cleansing power, but my skin felt fresh and calm after washing. Scent: The fragrance has quite a chemical smell. It wasn't off-putting enough to be a deal-breaker, though. Skin reaction: My skin gets a bit red after cleansing, but it calms down after a few minutes. Amount: Being a water-type cleanser, you need to use a bit more product. It's the same size as Lagom's foam cleanser. Overall, it's not a bad cleanser even for sensitive skin. Those with normal skin should be able to use it without any issues. It seems like it would finish with a somewhat hydrated feel, even for dry skin types. It wasn't as gentle as I had hoped for a morning water cleanser. The scent plays a part in that, and the price isn't particularly cheap for a morning cleanser, which is a downside. The water-gel texture means you might accidentally apply too much pressure. It's best to gently roll it with your fingertips to avoid irritation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 21, 2019
I love how gentle it is. Everyone knows it's for morning use, right? You can barely see any foam, which is fine. Some say morning cleansing isn't great, but I'm amazed by how healthy and innovative this product is. It keeps feeling like it's not cleansing thoroughly. As I have oily skin, I go to work feeling slightly uncleansed in the morning. But I have to leave some beneficial oils on my skin, so there's no helping it.
