I tried this Apieu Madecassoside line because it's super popular, has good reviews, and is affordable. However, it feels like it creates a film after application, so it's not suitable for oily skin types to use all over the face (especially for blemish-prone skin). It's a bit heavy for a hydrating cream, but too light to be a moisturizing cream - more like an ointment texture. Right after applying it, I thought, 'If I put this all over my face, my pores will get clogged and I'll break out.' So I only applied a thin layer on slightly dry areas before bed. It definitely provides moisture - my skin, which is always dry in winter, felt more comfortable. I usually only get pustular acne, but after using this once, I immediately got small bumps... The more I used it, the more I felt my skin calming down. There was no tightness or burning sensation, and I thought the application felt really nice... But at the same time, those small blemishes kept appearing, so I eventually had to stop using it. Such a shame... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 16, 2021
Affordable price? I bought it when there was a cica craze and it was cheap... After applying, something unexpected happened. Cica is supposed to be soothing, but I actually got blemishes. I'm not sure if cica just doesn't suit me or what the exact reason is, but whenever I used this alone, I'd break out. I couldn't use it all and ended up throwing it away. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2020
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin. Writing this review after finishing one jar and using a second one. • Suitable for dry autumn and winter seasons • Non-irritating • Leaves skin feeling moisturized and soft (subjective opinion) • Incredibly affordable during sales. The low price allows for generous application • Recommended if you're looking for a versatile emulsion or hydrating cream • No real downsides. If I had to mention something... • You go through a jar quickly • The price increased slightly with the recent 2X renewal • Not sure about its soothing effects, but honestly, at this price point, it's a great product if it provides good hydration and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 31, 2020
I'm using this for the third time because it's just decent and easy to use. The price is reasonable, and it's a great deal when you buy it during a 1+1 promotion. It's perfect for everyday use without much fuss. I'm not sure if it's really that amazing... I can't tell if it's actually soothing my skin... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 24, 2020
1. It absorbs quickly into the skin. 2. The scent is mild and not irritating, giving a gentle feel. 3. Frequent sales allow you to purchase it at a bargain price. 4. The tube packaging makes it convenient to use. Perhaps due to my dry skin, I find its hydration power lacking. It feels like a texture between an emulsion and a cream. While it may not have strong soothing effects, it's not bad if you think of it as a gentle, non-irritating application. I've noticed that this product is often given as a free gift when you buy the serum from the same line! Personally, I preferred the serum, so if you need a serum, I recommend purchasing it and trying this cream along with it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinOct 6, 2020
Affordable price and absorbs beautifully into the skin. Almost no scent and provides excellent hydration. There weren't any particular drawbacks. However, it might not be suitable for very oily skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 24, 2020
- Absorbs well. The lightweight texture makes it easy to apply smoothly. It spreads evenly across the face. - Great value for money. Compared to other brands, it offers excellent value, and frequent discounts allow you to snag it at a bargain price. - The container opening is too large for the texture. The circular opening is quite wide, so when you squeeze it, more product comes out than expected, which can be frustrating. - Didn't see any soothing effects. I bought it with a small hope for its calming properties, but I didn't notice any soothing effects from this product. (Most soothing products don't seem to have dramatic effects anyway) - It's drying. While it was usable in the peak of summer, as soon as the seasons changed, I immediately felt the dryness. (Even in midsummer, I mostly used it with a hydrating serum) It's far from sufficient as a year-round skincare item. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 2, 2020
Great product with a generous amount at an affordable price, perfect for everyday use! Compared to Innisfree, it seems to have almost no effect. It feels like I'm just using it because it's cheap. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 19, 2019
I absolutely love this product! My skin has improved so much. The scent is wonderful, and everything about it is fantastic. It's perfect in every way, I can sum it up in one word: amazing! And the price is so affordable too! There are no downsides! Seriously, none. The price is incredibly reasonable, and it's just perfect. Just apply it generously. It feels so good on the skin. I'm in love with this product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 18, 2019
The price is affordable and the mild lemon-like scent isn't bothersome, which is nice. Although the quantity is small, since it's applied to specific areas, it seems like it will last longer than expected. In my case, I actually prefer the smaller amount. It seems to have a slight soothing effect. I thought applying it to blemishes before bed would make them better immediately, but that's not quite the case. Still, I tend to get one or two large pimples, and when I use this, they don't grow bigger but instead start to calm down. I suppose I should be satisfied with that level of effectiveness.
