This really helps my makeup go on smoothly. It also delivers a nice dose of hydration, so you can simply apply it like an emulsion for a quick and easy routine. What I found most satisfying is that despite my super sensitive skin, it's so gentle that I didn't experience any blemishes. I think it would be fantastic for those with sensitive skin! There's also plenty of essence on each pad - I had some left even after covering my entire face! As someone who cares about skincare, I appreciate how convenient and lightweight it is, which makes me want to repurchase. It's a satisfying pad that even lazy skincare enthusiasts can use with ease.
ConsTo be honest, there weren't many downsides, but the main disappointment was that the moisturizing effect didn't last very long. It seemed to dry quickly, so the hydration didn't persist for an extended period.
TipWhen you wipe your skin with this before applying makeup, just like you would with an emulsion in your basic skincare routine, it definitely seems to help your makeup adhere better.

Even in summer, it gets dehydrated, so I need to pay extra attention to my skincare routine. That's why I always use exfoliating pads, and I recently tried The SAEM's Derma Plan Peeling Toner Pads for the first time. What I loved most when I first used it was the refreshing cooling effect. Even without refrigerating, it felt cool on my skin and helped refine my skin texture, making it perfect to use before applying makeup. Also, my skin usually feels dry right after cleansing, but using these pads left my skin feeling hydrated. For the first few days, I didn't notice much effect on dead skin cells, but after using it daily for a week, I noticed less makeup pilling and flaking.
ConsWhile it did provide a burst of hydration upon application, for someone with extremely dry skin like mine, the moisture didn't seem to last very long. So, I followed up with a nourishing cream after using the pads. I think it would provide just the right amount of hydration for oily skin types! Also, having used fragrance-free products before, I found the scent of the Derma Plan Peeling Toner Pads a bit strong at first. However, it wasn't an unpleasant smell, so it didn't bother me too much.
TipThe cooling effect makes it fantastic for summer use. Placing it on your skin for a moment before applying makeup helps reduce skin temperature, leading to better makeup application and longevity!

Hydration: Each pad is thoroughly soaked with the toner, feeling incredibly moist. There wasn't a single dry spot. Even when using it as a toner pack on my cheeks, the pad didn't feel like it was drying out. It releases moisture well into the skin too. After use, you'll likely feel your skin becoming more supple. Dead skin cell removal: This is the biggest advantage I noticed during my two weeks of use! Using the embossed side along your skin's texture easily removes dead skin cells. I particularly had noticeable dead skin on my chin and around my nose where makeup tends to cling, but after using this, I realized these areas could be completely cared for. Handy tweezers: Without the tweezers, it was difficult to pull out the pads as they would stick together. With the tweezers, it's easy to grab one at a time, which is very convenient. I've seen comments about the tweezers being separate and hard to store together, but I didn't find it inconvenient at all. There's an empty space next to the pads where you can slip the tweezers in, so you won't lose them. (I've attached a photo.) The space isn't so tight that it would contaminate the pads, so I just kept the tweezers there. However, if you're concerned about hygiene, you could store them separately.
ConsThere wasn't anything so bad about this product that would make me not want to use it again. I was generally satisfied. Scent: Regarding the much-discussed smell, those sensitive to scents might be put off. It would have been better if it were unscented. To describe it, I'd say it's a mix of baby wipe scent, a hint of aromatherapy oil(?), and a soda-like smell. However, for me, the scent didn't linger long and wasn't bothersome, so it was fine. A note of caution: Around the time I started using this product as a Hwahae Tester, I also began using a new toner and emulsion. I'm not sure which product or ingredient might have been the issue, but about 5 days into use, I noticed some very faint milia appearing, which had been dormant for a while. For reference, my skin type is combination dehydrated, leaning towards dry with only slight oiliness on my nose. I typically only get milia on my forehead when I have blemishes. The pad itself seems to have gentle ingredients, but I'm mentioning this just in case.
TipWhat impressed me most about this product was its thorough dead skin cell removal. If you use the embossed side to wipe areas that need exfoliation, following the skin's texture and repeating several times, you'll find that the rough, bumpy dead skin is cleanly removed. While it's a gentle pad with minimal irritation, I did finish up by applying some aloe soothing gel after exfoliating. I recommend not rubbing too hard when removing dead skin cells!

When I used it before washing my face, it effectively removed dirt and impurities, leaving yellowish residue on the pad. It cleaned so well that it could almost substitute for a face wash, which was great. After cleansing, I used it following my cleansing oil, and it left my skin feeling smooth. Overall, whether used before or after washing, it did an excellent job of removing dirt and impurities from my skin. Pro tip:
ConsAs I have dry skin, although it cleaned off impurities and dirt well, the hydration didn't last long, and my skin felt dry again soon after, which was disappointing. Also, while it cleaned effectively, I wish the pads were a bit larger.
TipI recommend using this as a substitute for face washing when you're feeling too lazy to go through your full cleansing routine!

Hydration Those who use these pads know that when you wipe your face with them, your skin becomes incredibly hydrated.
ConsLasting Power Although it's moisturizing at first, I noticed my skin quickly became dry later on. Hydration The pads were slightly dried out, unfortunately. Value for Money... It's too expensive And I'm not sure if it's just me, but after using it, there's a very slight sticky feeling.
