  Pros

  This was my first time trying a product from The Saem, and I must say the packaging is quite simple and elegant. I loved the cool, refreshing sensation when wiping my face. The essence-soaked pads were perfectly saturated without any excess liquid dripping. Even better, the pads remained moist until I used the very last one. As these are exfoliating pads, I noticed my rough skin texture became smoother after use. While using them daily wasn't completely free of sensation, I didn't experience any redness or blemishes. I discovered an added bonus - after cleansing my face, I could use the same pad on areas like elbows or knees for some extra body care. The finish is non-sticky and fresh, making it perfect for summer use.

  Cons

  The product contains PHA, and being an exfoliating treatment, I did feel a slight tingling sensation when using it daily. The pads seemed a bit smaller than average size. As I used about a third of the pads, the deep case made it challenging to retrieve them with tweezers. I usually take out 2-3 pads at a time and keep them on my vanity for easy access, but the wavy lid design made it impossible to stack other cosmetics on top, which was a bit inconvenient.

  I'm reviewing the pads I received as a gift. Let me give you an honest assessment. The one and only positive point: No blemishes appeared. That's it. Unfortunately, there are many drawbacks. I'm writing this review because I believe urgent improvements are needed.

  Cons

  1. No middle lid for storing the tweezers. It's inconvenient to store the pad tweezers. Instead of adding a wave to the package lid, they should have created a middle lid. 2. Noticeably small amount of essence. I've used many popular pads. I was disappointed by the lack of essence. It's labeled for sensitive skin, but with so little essence, I couldn't feel the embossed texture that's supposed to be soft. Instead, it felt irritating. 3. No noticeable dead skin cell removal. I couldn't perceive any improvement in skin texture. In conclusion, with so many great pads out there, I think this product might not be worth purchasing with your own money.

  I didn't experience any major blemishes while using this! The product is moisturizing, and when I gently exfoliated areas that needed dead skin cell removal, it left my skin feeling smooth, which was really satisfying. The scent isn't particularly irritating either. Considering you use two pads a day, it should last just over a month. With frequent discounts, it seems quite cost-effective among pads. It's not a bad choice for beginners!

  I've never really thought my skin was particularly sensitive to physical exfoliation, but these pads didn't seem to agree with me - I developed some redness and irritation. Because of this, I couldn't use them daily, maybe every other day at most. Towards the end, I only used them when I felt like I had a lot of dead skin buildup. By the last few uses, the pads were quite dry as all the product had evaporated. I tried them for convenience, but I think I need to find a product with gentler pads rather than focusing on the formula itself.

  I bought this because I was concerned about the slight oiliness left on my skin after only washing with water in the morning. When I wipe with the pad, it removes the excess oil and leaves behind a hydrating feeling, keeping my skin moisturized. Since I'm also using The Saem's Derma Plan line for my skincare routine, I didn't experience any blemishes, and the soothing and hydrating effects were really impressive. What I especially love is that I'm not a fan of products with strong, overpowering scents. The products in this line have almost no fragrance, which is perfect for me.

  Cons

  The tweezers that come with it are quite difficult to store. They're provided to help you pick up the pads without touching them with your fingers, which is great, but it's awkward to store them after use. I ended up placing them on top of the container and wiping them with a tissue before and after each use.

  This review is from one of The Hwahae Testers! I have sensitive skin with severe redness and combination dehydrated skin. It's also difficult to remove dead skin cells. I gently wiped my face along the skin's texture once in the morning and evening, using both the embossed side of the pad and the reverse side. It removed dead skin cells without any irritation and provided instant hydration! Most importantly, it didn't cause any blemishes. It's very easy to use without any issues. It's also quite effective for soothing the skin. When used before makeup, it fills the skin with moisture, preventing the makeup from looking cakey. The included tongs allow for hygienic use.

  Cons

  The quality of the pads could be improved - I wish they were a bit sturdier (they're soft and nice, but tend to fall apart). Also, the pads are only saturated with just enough essence to wet them. I would have preferred if they were more generously soaked!
