It's sensitive but not irritating, and has good moisturizing power. It's quite windy and chilly, so the moisturizing feel is good.
ConsAt first, the texture seems a bit thick and oily, so it seems better suited for fall and winter. There's no built-in tool, so I've been using the tool I used for face masks to scoop and apply it.

I like the formula, as it seems to be good for hydration, and it feels like it's holding onto the previous products I've applied, creating a protective barrier. ◽I like the overall white packaging The whole packaging of the Derma product from The Face Shop is white and blue, which makes me feel calm and like my skin will improve. ◽The volume is generous While it's not an old product, my skin gets very dry in the mornings and evenings, so I apply a lot. I also don't bring body lotion when I go to the gym, so I just apply this extra moisturizer to the dry areas, and there's still a lot left. The generous volume is great.
Cons◽There's no spatula. Using my fingers to scoop it out every time doesn't seem very hygienic, so it would be better if a spatula was included. ◽It's heavy. As I mentioned, it does a good job of locking in moisture and not letting it evaporate, but that's because it's heavy. While it may work well for those with dry skin like me, I don't think it would be suitable for those with oily skin.

The cream's texture is not as thick as you might expect! But the moment you apply it to your face, it becomes white like an ointment and gets absorbed!! Compared to other products, it's a bit thinner in texture than Atopalm's Real Barrier, but it has a similar level of moisturizing power. The application is like an ointment, and the absorption is not extremely fast. But it doesn't feel sticky or leave residue. However, if you apply too much, it can feel a bit stuffy.
ConsThe smell is kind of like an ointment ㅋㅋ It's not a good smell, but it's not bad either, so I'm still using it. The product doesn't have a spatula...ㅜㅜ So it's not very hygienic.. The product's case is bigger than expected, but it's not heavy, so I don't know why they made it so big..ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
TipFor those who find skincare routines troublesome in the winter, you can just apply this cream after your skin toner, and you won't feel dry! I'm not extremely dry-skinned, but it's really moisturizing. After applying, a slightly film-like layer forms on the skin!

(I usually have skin that is close to combination on the T-zone and cheeks, dry and sensitive on the U-zone, and close to dry in the winter) To summarize the positives, the product has good spreadability and excellent moisture retention effects! And since I have oily skin, I usually break out when using thick creams, but this one didn't cause any issues. In the winter, my U-zone usually feels dry and tight, but because of my sensitive skin, I couldn't use just any oil or cream. Thanks to this opportunity, I found a good product! Even after using ampoules or the 7-skin method, my skin would still feel dry if I didn't seal it with an oil or cream. So I think those with sensitive skin like mine who couldn't use creams before will be satisfied with this one! I'd recommend this to anyone except those with extremely oily skin. The best fit would be those with combination to dry, sensitive skin. It absorbs well and leaves a clean finish, so if you don't like a greasy look, I'd suggest giving it a try.
ConsThis is not a product with a lot of moisture. As the name suggests, it's more of a product that creates an oil layer on the skin's surface. If you're looking for a product with more moisture, I'd recommend choosing a different one. The lack of a spatula is also a downside. The product size is quite substantial, so having a small mini spatula would allow for more hygienic usage. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin! This product is about creating an oil layer, and it seems many people have mixed feelings about shea butter. While the absorption isn't too slow, you may feel it's a bit heavy and occlusive.
TipWhen dealing with flaky lips, applying this product generously and wrapping it up works really well to soften the flakes. It's much better than regular lip balms for my extremely dry lips (it has a slightly occlusive feel, which is why I've switched to this instead). Typically, I do a 3-skin method (usually using Mamonde Calendula or Innisfree Barley sometimes), then apply a hydrating ampoule (like Tosowoong or a low-molecular hyaluronic acid one to really plump up the moisture). After that, I'll use about a pea-sized amount of this product, rubbing it evenly between my hands before applying, starting from the driest areas and working my way to the oilier zones. If it feels too dry, I'll mix in a drop of cold-pressed, unrefined jojoba oil. With any product that leaves an oily finish, it's important to make sure it's fully absorbed before makeup application to avoid pilling. This one needs good absorption in the morning too.

This product was perfect for me! My skin is quite sensitive, so I usually break out if I use products with poor ingredients, but I didn't experience any breakouts or irritation while using this product. The formula is relatively heavy, which makes it great for the winter season, but it's not sticky or tacky, so it doesn't cling to my hair or leave marks on my pillow. Although the formula isn't refreshing or lightweight, it doesn't dry out quickly and maintains hydration for a long time. When I'm feeling lazy with my skincare routine, I can just apply this cream after toner and it's enough for me. This cream is perfect for the drying winter season, and I'd recommend it to those with dry or combination skin types.
ConsThe formula is a bit heavy, so it's not a product you can slather on generously. However, for my combination skin, a small amount was sufficient to provide good hydration. That said, I'd recommend those with oily skin to test it out first before purchasing. Also, I wish the product came with a spatula, as the jar packaging could be more hygienic without one.
TipI'd recommend applying this product in smaller amounts and reapplying multiple times, rather than applying a thick layer all at once. Personally, I found that using this product at night before bed was more beneficial than using it in the morning.

It has a rich cream texture, but it's smoother in application than other balm types. At 60ml, it's generous enough to cover your arms, legs, and dry spots. I like moisturizing balm creams with little oil content for extremely dry skin, and this one has good value. It doesn't have a fragrance, but there's a unique scent that fades quickly.
ConsIt doesn't come with a spatula, but I just use a spatula from another cosmetic product.
TipI generously apply it as a night care.

It provides great soothing effects When my skin is irritated, dry, or heavily exposed to fine dust, applying this before bed and sleeping with it on helps my skin condition improve nicely the next day! 2. It has a mild fragrance The fragrance is not completely absent, but it's very subtle. Perhaps my sense of smell is just sensitive, but I find the fragrance to be extremely minimal!! 3. It absorbs well without being sticky Since I have an oily skin type, even a small amount of oily products can make my skin feel too sticky. But this product provides good hydration without any stickiness, which I really like!
Cons1. There is no spatula Normally, these types of scoopable products come with a spatula for hygienic application. But this one doesn't have one... Hmm... However, as long as you wash your hands well before use and apply it manually, it's not a major inconvenience!! 2. Dosage control can be tricky This may vary from person to person, but for me, it's hard to get the right amount. If I apply too much, it can feel a bit heavy, and if I use too little, I don't get enough hydration.
TipI'd recommend applying this at night! Since it can be difficult to spread a thin layer, using this in the morning before your cushion foundation may cause pilling.

As a typical combination-dry skin type, I was looking for a product that would absorb well into my skin, and this cream did the trick! Even though it's a balm-type cream, the texture is soft and creamy, making it very easy to apply and spread on the skin. For someone like me with combination-dry skin, using this cream generously as a night care product left my skin feeling supple and moisturized in the morning - not tight or dry after cleansing. This product has also been clinically tested for low irritation, so it should be suitable for those with sensitive skin as well. In fact, I've noticed my sudden breakouts and redness have calmed down since using this cream. The ingredients seem gentle and beneficial. I highly recommend this product!💜💜
ConsRight after application, it may feel a bit oily, but that feeling subsides after some time. I would not recommend this for those with very oily skin types, as the oil can become quite prominent. Also, since there is no spatula included, there is a chance of some dust or dirt getting into the product when scooping it out.
TipAfter the cream has absorbed to some degree, you can use blotting papers to gently absorb any excess oil that comes up, without clogging the pores or feeling too heavy on the skin.

Great application! 👍🏻 🔴The original price is not that cheap, but it's a good deal when on sale! If you think it's expensive, wait for the sale. 🔴It's slightly acidic, with a pH of 5-6, which is good. 🔴It's extremely gentle and fragrance-free. But it's a shame that it clogs the pores. 🔴It's really moisturizing. Even as someone with extremely dry skin, just using the toner and this was enough to keep my skin hydrated~~ 🔴At night, as it dries and you sleep, it improves skin texture. When you wake up in the morning, your skin feels smooth and supple. ⚪The texture is similar to the Uriage Xemose Cerat - a thick, creamy formula. The color is not semi-transparent white, but pure white.
Cons🔵There's no spatula... Usually, they have an internal spatula, but this one doesn't. 🔵Even though I applied it thinly, it clogged my pores and caused a few small pimples to appear... I think it's due to the stearic acid and the heaviness of the formula. 🔵Am I the only one with an oily skin type? The reviews I've seen don't mention much oiliness. Reducing the shea butter content a little might help. 🔵When I wear foundation or cushion, my skin gets dry, so I usually apply a cream before makeup. But when I used this cream, it made my makeup slide off.
Tip⚫Not recommended for oily skin ⚫Highly recommended for dry, extremely dry skin! It's better to use this as a night care product rather than in the morning. ⚫I recommend applying a small amount, even if you have dry or extremely dry skin. My forehead got all clogged and messy when I used too much.⚫

I have almost no oil production, and even if I don't wash my face for a couple of days, there's no greasiness at all. However, most heavy creams with a lot of oils tend to feel stuffy and sticky when applied. Even if the application feels good initially, the ingredients often end up irritating my skin, causing redness and trouble. But this cream feels surprisingly lightweight and non-greasy, considering the moisturizing ingredients. It allows me to apply it comfortably without much burden. Initially, I didn't have high expectations for the effectiveness, as I've tried other barrier-repairing products before, and they didn't work as well over time. But I figured I should keep trying, so I used this consistently for about a week. And this cream has exceeded my expectations! Just by replacing my regular cream with the Ultra Balm Cream, the redness and stinging around my cheeks and eyes (from atopic dermatitis) improved by around 50% in about two days. And now, the stinging sensation has reduced by around 80%. I'm so satisfied with this cream that I'm looking into other products in the dermatologically-tested line. As for toners, I still haven't found anything as suitable as the Avène Thermal Spring Water (most others sting and irritate my skin). But I'm hopeful I can find more derma-friendly products. And the value is amazing!!! 60ml for 22,000 won - I can apply this generously without worrying about the cost. I'm so grateful, and I really hope the price stays this way.
ConsNo spatula included It looks like there would be an internal spatula, but there isn't one. But spatulas are widely available at places like Daiso, so it's better to have a slightly lower price without one. Not recommended for oily skin! - Excess sebum buildup on the nose and cheeks Even I have to squeeze out the sebum buildup around my nose and cheeks every few days. But for extremely dry and sensitive skin like mine, the appropriate amount of oils helps protect the skin barrier. So you can just avoid applying it to those oily areas. However, for those with oily skin, this cream may be too rich and greasy.
TipHyaluronic Acid The cream itself feels a bit lacking in hydration compared to the oils, so adding hyaluronic acid is helpful. I like to mix in some hyaluronic acid (the Cellavie one works best for me) and apply it, and when my skin barrier is really compromised, finishing with an oil or squalane cream helps keep it extra moisturized.
