Perhaps because it's packed with Centella Asiatica leaf water, it calms the skin faster than other Centella-based products. I usually rotate my skincare products, but after trying a highly-rated cream with great ingredients for two days, my skin reacted badly. I came back to this one to calm it down, and within about ten days, my skin was back to normal. Despite being a cream rather than a lightweight formula, it absorbs incredibly fast. It leaves a subtle glow on the skin, as if there's a thin protective layer.
ConsHowever, its hydration power is lacking. Even though jojoba oil is high on the ingredient list, suggesting it's present in a significant amount, the skin still dries out easily. It can also cause eye irritation if applied too close to the eye area, with the stinging sensation traveling along the eye wrinkles. It's disappointing that Apieu discontinued such a well-suited product.
TipTo reduce tightness, try applying an additional layer of moisturizer or finishing with a face oil.

ConsIt seemed to dry quickly, so I had to apply it multiple times which was a bit of a hassle...

The hydration is excellent without feeling too heavy, so I use it year-round regardless of the season. I also love that it doesn't cause my makeup to pill.
ConsI wish they'd come out with a larger size. I tend to apply it generously, and I go through a whole tube in less than a month.

So when I heard about this new deeply hydrating line, I decided to give it a try. It's gentle and quite calming, which is great. You might want to apply a hydrating essence before using this cream for best results. I apply it three times after cleansing in the evening - once right after washing, again a couple of hours later, and once more before bed. Despite this, it still feels a bit dry for winter use. I've gone through more than half the jar already from applying it so frequently! I think it would work well in summer though, and I'd consider repurchasing it then.
ConsIt doesn't address deep dryness, making it feel too light for winter use.
TipThis cream works hard to soothe the skin, but those with super sensitive skin or combination dehydrated skin might need to layer it with other hydrating products for optimal moisture balance. It could be a great option for those looking for a brightening moisturizer that evens skin tone without being too rich or sticky.

I regret not finding this cream sooner - it's that good! I've tried many tea tree products and gentle formulas, but this is truly top-notch. It's perfect for this season, and while some say it's too oily, if you adjust the amount, it's just right. I layer it after Tonymoly Ceramide Toner and before A'pieu Intensive Cream, and it works great even without a moisturizer in between. I've only been using it for a week, but I feel like this product might end my 18-year battle with blemishes. Madecassoside has always worked well for me, but it really shines in this cream form. Honestly, the before and after photos speak for themselves. I've tried all the highly recommended products and even visited dermatologists, but nothing has improved my skin this much. I'm truly satisfied. You can find it for around $8 on Coupang. Take a chance and try it once - you won't regret it!
ConsThe only potential downsides are that the scent might be hit or miss for some people, and it may not be sufficient for those with dry or very dry skin.

It doesn't irritate my skin or cause any blemishes, so I'm using it comfortably without any issues.
ConsSo far, I haven't noticed any downsides while using it!

I was impressed by its gentle ingredients, so I decided to purchase it right away. I'm now using it comfortably on a regular basis. Let me share more details: Firstly, the absorption is excellent. I expected it to be sticky since it's a cream, but surprisingly, it left my skin feeling refined. I also thought it would be quite oily, but it wasn't, which made it easy to apply daily. Overall, it felt more like an ointment than a typical cream. Secondly, regarding scar regeneration, this Madecassoside cream lives up to its name with impressive healing properties. It seemed to tackle both skin soothing and regeneration simultaneously. Of course, I used it in conjunction with B'plane Cica-Full Ampoule, but I could visibly see my reddened skin tone improving with consistent application. Lastly, in terms of quantity and price, I find this product to offer great value for money. The price point is reasonable, and the amount is generous. I've been using it for about a month, and there's still some left. Personally, I'd rate this product 8.5 to 9 out of 10. Thanks to this cream, my pigmented scars have significantly improved.
ConsIf I had to mention a downside, it would be that the opening is a bit wide, causing the cream to come out in large amounts sometimes. Maybe I just need to work on controlling the pressure!
TipI think you might see even better results if you use this cream alongside a soothing ampoule. Also, I believe it's more effective to apply a small amount consistently every day rather than using a large quantity at once.

I regret only buying one when it first came out with a 1+1 deal. So I went ahead and ordered two more... haha! I'll definitely stock up if they have another discount during A'pieu Day. First off, it adheres well to my combination dehydrated, sensitive skin without any irritation... I dislike moisturizers that feel super heavy, and this one is just perfect. The ingredients are great too... I think I'll keep using this!
ConsHmm... The only downside is the small size. I wish they'd make a larger version like their other cica creams!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis review is based on my experience using the product for about a month starting from January 5th this year. My skin type is combination dehydrated with blemishes, allergies, and super sensitive skin. 1. Ingredients Free from harmful ingredients and containing Centella Asiatica leaf water and madecassoside, it wasn't irritating even for my sensitive skin. While I didn't notice a significant soothing effect, it was gentle enough to use after extracting small pimples or when I had an allergic reaction on my face without causing issues. I've recently been suspecting I might be allergic to shea butter, so I was comfortable using this product as it doesn't contain it. 2. Hydration The hydration power is above average. However, this might be my perception as I have oily skin and haven't used highly moisturizing products before. Although it's labeled as 'intensive', I wouldn't particularly recommend it for those with dry skin. I didn't notice a significant difference in moisturizing effect compared to the regular madecassoside cream I used before. However, for someone with combination dehydrated skin like me, it provided sufficient hydration during dry winter days without feeling heavy. 3. Texture It absorbs quickly without any stickiness. The consistency is not too thick, rather slightly runny, making it easy to use with the tube packaging. Due to its small size and quick absorption, I carried it around to apply after washing my face with water and even used it as a hand cream. 4. Price True to A'pieu's reputation, the value for money is excellent. I think even students can comfortably afford to try it out.
ConsIt's somewhat unremarkable. Despite containing ceramides which are supposed to make it moisturizing, I didn't notice any special difference - it's just average. However, for someone with sensitive skin like me, being unremarkable is actually a plus. If you're not expecting any extraordinary effects, I think it's attractive from a cost-effectiveness standpoint.

I think it's the best! I'll definitely repurchase.
ConsThere's hardly anything to complain about, but it might lack richness for extremely dry skin types.
