Skin type: Dry skin This is a truly gentle and soothing cream. Perhaps because it's packed with Centella Asiatica leaf water, it calms the skin faster than other Centella-based products. I usually rotate my skincare products, but after trying a highly-rated cream with great ingredients for two days, my skin reacted badly. I came back to this one to calm it down, and within about ten days, my skin was back to normal. Despite being a cream rather than a lightweight formula, it absorbs incredibly fast. It leaves a subtle glow on the skin, as if there's a thin protective layer. However, its hydration power is lacking. Even though jojoba oil is high on the ingredient list, suggesting it's present in a significant amount, the skin still dries out easily. It can also cause eye irritation if applied too close to the eye area, with the stinging sensation traveling along the eye wrinkles. It's disappointing that Apieu discontinued such a well-suited product. To reduce tightness, try applying an additional layer of moisturizer or finishing with a face oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 7, 2022
It suited my skin well - no irritation and left it feeling nicely hydrated! It seemed to dry quickly, so I had to apply it multiple times which was a bit of a hassle... - sk******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 1, 2021
It absorbs really well and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as thick as I expected! I didn't find any downsides! It works especially well when used after the mask or ampoule from the same line! - ho******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 24, 2021
For a cream, it absorbs surprisingly quickly and leaves my skin feeling wonderfully hydrated! I was looking to repurchase this, but I'm heartbroken to find out it's been discontinued. Such a shame! It works perfectly when you apply a second layer after the first application! - pp********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2021
It's great at calming redness and reducing blemishes! I have combination and super sensitive skin, and this is the first cream I've tried that works so well. As I have dry skin, I wish it would provide more deep hydration. It feels a bit drying, so I always have to layer it with another moisturizer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 2, 2021
It seems to work wonders when applied on blemishes! I'm not a fan of sticky products, and this one does feel a bit tacky... Still, I'm satisfied overall. - ji**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 26, 2021
For those with combination skin, this product might not receive particularly good or bad reviews. It's not specifically designed to provide more effective hydration for different skin types or control excess oil, so it may not feel particularly significant. However, if you're looking for a decent, middle-of-the-road cream, I'd recommend it! For those with combination dehydrated skin, the recommendation is a bit ambiguous. It's truly just average - I found it okay to use, but I wouldn't repurchase it. For acne-prone skin, it feels quite good to use. I tend to have a lot of acne and redness, and while using this, I noticed a reduction! However, don't expect it to dramatically clear up acne - that's definitely not the case. There are no dramatic effects, so don't set your expectations too high. The fragrance isn't particularly pleasant. It's hard to describe exactly what it smells like, but personally, I'm not a fan. - re*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 1, 2020
I've tried both the madecassoside cream and this intensive cream, and personally, I find the intensive cream to be more lightweight, if that makes sense? When applied, I liked how it felt appropriately rich. The value for money is also good, so I always buy two at a time. I apply it every evening after using exfoliating pads. I wish they would release a larger size... I always have to buy two at a time. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020
I've tried the Madecassoside Cream, Cica Gel, and Intensive Cream, and I highly recommend using the Intensive Cream specifically for winter. The Madecassoside Cream seems perfect from summer to early fall, while the Intensive version is just right for late autumn through winter. The formula is far too rich for use during summer months. - on****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJul 25, 2020
I bought this ampoule thinking it would create synergy when used with other products due to its mild formulation. At the time, the ingredients like jojoba oil (which now unfortunately aggravates my folliculitis) and centella asiatica seemed suitable. I also thought it was free of harmful ingredients (I must have checked too hastily). However, when I applied it to my face, it caused a burning sensation and made my skin feel extremely dry. I've written all the positive points under the 'good' section because there were only disappointing aspects to mention. Reluctant to waste the product, I tried applying it to my legs, but it caused itching and breakouts. It's the first time a product has been less compatible with my body than my face. This experience made me realize it's better to avoid products with too many ingredients.
