Improves hair texture It's a hair loss prevention shampoo, but surprisingly, it makes my hair incredibly soft. I have curly hair that's difficult to brush without conditioner, but with this shampoo alone, brushing became effortless. 2. Cooling effect There's a cooling effect, but it's not artificial or irritating, which I appreciated. 3. Tea tree or lemon scent? I didn't expect much from the fragrance since it's a natural shampoo, but the scent was delightful. While tea tree and lemon can be divisive scents, I personally enjoyed it. The scent isn't overpowering after washing. 4. Bottle design The bottle's honest rectangular shape stands firmly in the shower caddy without taking up unnecessary space. It's a small detail, but it really hits the spot.
Cons1. Slight slipperiness Unlike commercial shampoos, it doesn't rinse away immediately. The formula is designed to require thorough rinsing. 2. Lack of lather With my thick hair, the lack of lather was a bit frustrating. I felt unsure if it was cleansing properly. This is typical of products with good ingredients, so it's something to keep in mind. 3. Can cause greasiness for oily scalps Due to points 1 and 2, if not rinsed thoroughly, it can make oily scalps greasy quickly. This was mentioned in pre-use reviews, which worried me. However, it's not a major concern if you rinse well.
TipAlthough I haven't noticed changes in hair volume due to short-term use, my scalp feels healthier!

I've been using this product, and my boyfriend decided to try it too, so I've included both our thoughts below. I have combination oily scalp with thin, weak hair that sheds excessively - almost a handful falls out on the floor. Usually, I use natural shampoos from overseas or ones with specific functions, like Australian natural shampoo ANB for fine, weak hair, or Rausch for oily scalps. 1. Scent, color, texture - There's barely any scent, probably due to the lack of harmful ingredients, similar to AN* shampoo. The color is a transparent beige with a fluid consistency. It's surprisingly gentle and more liquid than expected, like a gel-cream. Rausch can be quite thick, so this texture is much nicer and easier to rinse out thoroughly. 2. During washing - It lathers well. Natural shampoos often struggle to foam, but this one is incredibly soft. You only need a small amount, and it feels like using a treatment. Usually, natural shampoos leave my hair feeling dry and stiff, but switching from ANB to this was an eureka moment! The amazing thing is that despite having no harmful ingredients, it keeps your hair moisturized and soft. It prevents tangling, reducing hair loss from knots. After using Dermotive shampoo, I haven't felt the need for conditioner. Comparing three shampoos: 🍭Scalp cleansing effectiveness Rausch > ANB > Dermotive 🍭Hydration Dermotive > Rausch > ANB 🍭Natural ingredients Dermotive > ANB > Rausch 🍭Price ANB > Rausch > Dermotive ❓Repurchase intention If the price were slightly lower... I'd be okay with it. 3. Functionality - While using it this week, I've noticed significantly less hair fall. Usually, I'd have a handful on the floor, but now it's reduced to about 1/3 of that, with the rest easily managed. 4. Post-wash The moisturizing effect lasts long. I find myself unconsciously running my fingers through my hair. It feels hydrated yet light, which is great. After not washing for two days, there's only slight oiliness on the scalp, but the hair doesn't get greasy! It's remarkable - a natural shampoo without harmful ingredients that doesn't leave hair feeling dry, acts like a treatment, yet isn't as heavy as dry hair shampoos. Perfect for dehydrated hair! It feels very refreshing and suits me well. ================================================================= As a 31-year-old man who takes care of himself, here are my thoughts: The first thing I noticed was how much softer the lather is compared to typical anti-hair loss shampoos. While those often have a stiff foam, this one is incredibly gentle when washing. It also lathers well. The ingredients list shows some surfactants, which is a bit disappointing. The scent is refreshing, making hair washing enjoyable. What's more interesting is the after-wash feel. Usually, anti-hair loss shampoos strip away too much oil, but this leaves hair feeling as if I've used a conditioner. It's so soft that I even rinsed again to make sure I hadn't under-washed! The price is a bit high for the volume. In summary, it has a nice scent, lathers well, and is gentle, but the presence of surfactants and the high price-to-volume ratio are drawbacks.
ConsThere aren't many downsides, but you do need to rinse thoroughly as it leaves a slippery feeling. It feels a bit slick on the hands too, so make sure to rinse well. Oh, and the price... it's quite expensive for the amount you get.

If you have thick hair, you might even feel like it's getting fuller. I noticeably saw fewer hairs falling out while using it. The scent is subtle, reminiscent of pine trees - quite pleasant! I've been using it without any issues. What really surprised me was that despite being an anti-hair loss shampoo, it leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft after drying. This is great because I often skip conditioner out of laziness. I'm definitely planning to repurchase once I finish this bottle!
ConsThere's a slight slippery feeling when using it, but it's not a major issue. I think this might be why the hair dries so smoothly even when using just the shampoo alone!
TipThe flip-top cap makes it easy to control how much product you use!

My current hair condition is slightly dry with long, straight hair. I dye my roots every 2-3 months, and while my hair is fine, it's not damaged and is generally in good condition. This shampoo has a thin liquid consistency and lathers well. The scent is a subtle herbal aroma, somewhat reminiscent of fresh pine needles. Personally, I found the fragrance quite pleasant. When using the shampoo, I didn't experience any irritation on my scalp, and it left my scalp feeling thoroughly cleansed. However, the second ingredient, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, has received a grade 4 rating on EWG's Skin Deep database. Based on existing toxicity data, the scientific community widely agrees that this ingredient can cause irritation, toxicity, and allergic reactions. It even received an 'Allergen of the Year' award in the United States. The fact that this ingredient is listed second suggests it's present in high quantities, so those with allergies should take note when using this product. The sixth ingredient, Cocamide MEA, isn't graded in the full ingredient list, but it's reportedly a grade 6. Unlike other anti-hair loss shampoos, this one leaves hair smooth rather than stiff after washing. Compared to the Vitabrid shampoo, it's much softer. It also feels quite slippery when lathering in your hands. Looking at the ingredients, the 2nd to 6th listed are surfactants, which likely contribute to this smooth feeling. Even without using conditioner, there's a lingering softness after drying your hair. While it's not quite like using a deep conditioner, it feels similar to using a rinse and gives the impression of a coating on the hair. Although my hair feels smooth, as I have long hair, I found that the ends sometimes tangled and were difficult to brush. After using it for about ten days, while I can't speak to its effectiveness in preventing hair loss, I did feel like I was losing less hair both during and after washing.
ConsThe downside is that due to its slippery texture, it takes a bit longer to rinse out. Even when the foam seems gone, you might keep rinsing because of the slick feeling. It's important to check carefully that all the foam is rinsed away. As it's a pump bottle, the shampoo can leak if the bottle is laid down or shaken during transport, even with the lid closed. Also, because the formula is quite thin, it's hard to control the amount dispensed, often resulting in too much product coming out. The lack of dosage control is disappointing. As I have long hair, I noticed some static electricity when I didn't use conditioner. I usually wash my hair in the evening, and I've noticed static when wearing a padded jacket either right after washing or the next day. The value for money is a bit disappointing. The bottle is only 300ml, so I'd prefer if it came in a larger size.
TipIf you're not using conditioner, brushing your hair before washing can help reduce tangling and hair loss during washing.

Noticeably less hair fall. Usually, after drying my hair, the floor would be covered in hair, and I'd tearfully collect it. But after not cleaning for 3 days due to vacuum maintenance, there wasn't even a day's worth of hair loss. The transparent bottle lets you see how much is left. The packaging is also attractive. The scent really opens up your sinuses. It's like a mentholated ointment or menthol fragrance.
ConsIt's too greasy. I deliberately skipped conditioner to test the feel, but touching my hair feels just like I've used conditioner. By evening, my hair feels stuck together. It's even worse if you don't dry your hair thoroughly. I developed blemishes on my scalp. I suspect it might be the salicylic acid. The price is quite high. The volume is small.
TipSkip conditioner and hair masks. Make sure to dry your hair thoroughly.

Scalp flaking and itchiness. Fragrance: A subtle, pleasant herbal scent with a hint of coolness that's easy to use without being overwhelming. Usage Experience: Despite my hair being longer than shoulder-length, the lightweight formula lathers well. It's great for massaging, even on hair that tangles easily when wet, allowing for a thorough cleanse. There's a slight cooling sensation, but it feels natural and not artificial. Anti-Hair Loss Effects: Recently, I've been concerned about increased scalp itching and hair loss. Unlike previous shampoos that left my scalp flaky and uncomfortable, this product leaves my scalp feeling clean down to the pores, with a refreshing and invigorating finish. Hair loss seems reduced, but I'll need to use it longer to be sure. Packaging & Volume: The rectangular bottle isn't a pump type and contains 300ml - a moderate amount that seems suitable for individual use.
ConsThose who prefer a squeaky-clean feel after shampooing might find the slight slipperiness left behind uncomfortable at first, though it may become more tolerable with use. It's disappointing that the bottle doesn't have a pump. While the current design is good for travel as it won't leak, it might be a bit inconvenient for home use. Although the hair feels soft without conditioner or treatment, you might need to use some in winter to combat static electricity.
TipFor best results, lather up well, leave on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. If you're prone to static, lightly apply conditioner or treatment after shampooing.

ConsI bought this after seeing an ad on social media. However, it didn't suit my scalp and hair at all. I have a slightly oily scalp. Maybe because it's mildly acidic, when I first used it, my hair felt greasy. As is typical with natural shampoos, I didn't get that refreshing clean feeling. After washing my hair, it left a slippery residue on my hands. I wouldn't recommend this for oily scalps.
