It absorbs well and has a nice texture, so it doesn't pill before applying makeup I'm not sure what exactly the role of a base is... but I don't feel like it makes my makeup apply better or last longer - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 15, 2024
It has a lovely rose scent and feels wonderfully moisturizing! The foundation doesn't pill, making it a pleasure to use. However, the price point is a bit on the higher side. It doesn't seem to be intended for evening out skin tone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinAug 9, 2023
This base is bursting with hydration! When applied in the right amount before foundation, it prevents pilling and helps makeup adhere beautifully. The texture isn't heavy, making it perfect for daily use as a base. The pump bottle is also great for hygiene. The opaque container makes it difficult to see how much product is left. The scent reminds me of old-fashioned cosmetics... like roses? It might not suit those who dislike rose fragrances. It works well when mixed with foundation too. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 14, 2023
This is truly the ultimate base product. It has all the benefits of a hydrating moisturizer while making any cushion foundation or BB cream apply like a dream. The finish is flawless with no pilling. There's a reason why it's a staple in Cheongdam-dong beauty salons. While it may not seem extraordinary at first glance, it's perfect for dry to combination skin types, preventing deep dryness without any sticky feeling. It's like a hybrid between a moisturizing primer and a cream. The scent is lovely too, and it helps create a smooth, even complexion. The price point is quite steep. It's expensive, even for a high-end product. While everything else about it is great, the limited availability and high cost are definite drawbacks. For best results, apply this as your first layer, then mix it with a high-coverage foundation that tends to be drying for a perfect balance of hydration and coverage. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 7, 2023
I love the instant hydration when I apply it. At first, it seems like makeup will adhere well and there's no pilling. But... After some time, and especially after removing my makeup, I experienced intense heat, redness, swelling, and even mild pain on my face. (My skin isn't particularly sensitive, and this rarely happens, but the burning sensation and skin discomfort were quite severe.) I've never had issues with my other products, so I tested this one twice more to be sure. It's definitely the culprit. While others seem to use it without problems, and it's even popular in makeup shops, I wonder why it doesn't work for me. Has anyone had a similar experience? Can someone please tell me which ingredient might be causing this? (I'm currently comparing ingredients with my regular products and ones that caused reactions in the past, but I'm at a loss.)
