The dried rose scent makes application a pleasant experience, and makeup adheres well to the skin While it's a bit pricey and does help makeup stay on nicely, unfortunately it doesn't seem to suit my skin personally as I tend to get blemishes after using it - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 27, 2023
Pros: - Texture: A light pink, moisturizing base that doesn't feel sticky even when applied generously. For best results, layer in this order: toner, emulsion, moisturizer, sunscreen, then this base. Follow with a thin layer of foundation, and your makeup will stay put from dawn till 10 PM. As the day progresses and natural oils surface, they blend seamlessly with the foundation, creating a beautiful, natural glow - as if you've just stepped out of a professional makeup session. It's clear why this is a top choice in beauty salons! - Scent: It has a subtle rose fragrance reminiscent of childhood toy cosmetics. Personally, I find it quite charming! The delicate floral scent is uplifting, though it fades by the time you finish your makeup routine. I try to see this as a positive aspect. - Longevity: This product stands toe-to-toe with other industry leaders. While some bases offer a purely moisturizing effect, this one provides hydration with a slight tackiness for better hold. You can choose between a more hydrating or firming application depending on your skin's needs that day and whether you're pairing it with a dewy or matte foundation. Both approaches yield similar results. I alternate based on how my skin feels each day. Bottom line - it's simply fantastic! Cons: - Price: As someone who applies makeup 5 days a week, I go through this product quite quickly, even when using it sparingly. While it may be considered more affordable compared to some high-end alternatives, it's still on the pricier side. However, its performance makes it worth every penny - I just can't give it up! - Blemishes: I've noticed I'm prone to more frequent breakouts when using this product. But I continue to use it anyway. For me, the flawless, long-lasting makeup look outweighs the occasional blemish. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 14, 2023
Applies smoothly and keeps skin hydrated. Has a lovely rose scent. To be honest, I'm not sure what other positives to mention. Looks like I fell for the marketing hype again, haha. I don't see how it helps makeup application as claimed - if anything, my concealer seemed to separate more after using this. Even worse, it caused blemishes on my face... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2019
I bought this along with a foundation brush from Cuchel. Although I have combination skin, I often feel dryness, especially deep dryness. Before using this product, I used Espoir's Skin Smoothing Glowrizer. I know these hydrating bases help with dryness and improve foundation adherence and longevity. Even with a moisturizing foundation, if your skin is dry, it can break down, which isn't good for deep dryness or appearance. Compared to Espoir's Glowrizer, this absorbs into the skin faster. While it's a gel formula, it's a bit richer than Espoir's, which I find better for busy mornings. When my skin barrier is weakened, I tend to get blemishes. Also, it's disappointing that I can't tell how much product is left in the container. Apply it like a primer, focusing on the cheeks and forehead. Use the remaining amount on your nose area for better adherence.
