They're incredibly soft and don't shed any dust, yet they're super sturdy. I'm loving them so much that my mom even asked me to buy her just the cotton pads separately, haha. As for the essence, it has a watery texture, which worked great as a toner substitute during dry seasons. While it leaves a slightly sticky finish, it absorbs well, so it doesn't cause blemishes or pilling when applying makeup!! Instead, it leaves your skin deeply hydrated.
ConsAlthough it's marketed as a 'calming' essence, I felt its strengths were more in hydration rather than soothing. I'm not sure if it actually calms the skin. It finishes with a moisturizing and slightly slippery feel, which is different from typical calming toners or essences. Also, it's quite thin, so using it after a toner feels a bit redundant, which could be both a pro and a con. Now that it's winter, you can skip the toner and use this product directly!

The bottle design is beautiful. The hygienic dispenser makes it easy to control the amount.
ConsIt's ineffective... No soothing effect, doesn't reduce skin heat, and feels slippery. Everyone else raved about it, but why not me...

Fortunately, I didn't experience any blemishes, despite some reviews mentioning them. The best part is that the main ingredient is truly mugwort! It's amazing to find this quality at such a price. I bought it during an Olive Young sale, and it was nearly as affordable as Goodal products.
ConsIt's a product I'm unsure about repurchasing. There's a slippery feeling, which seems common in pure mugwort extracts. Before this, I used Goodal's Houttuynia Cordata, which had a better absorption. I think it's because Goodal's product contains compounds mixed with the extract. When I used Goodal's toner, I applied it with my hands at first. Towards the end of the bottle, I started using cotton pads, which noticeably brightened my complexion. I could see an immediate improvement in my skin tone. I regret not using cotton pads earlier - what a waste! Realizing the importance of skin texture refinement, I generously used this product for that purpose. However, it didn't brighten my complexion as much as Goodal did. While texture refinement is crucial, I think Goodal's product suited me better. Also, it's disappointing that this comes in a plastic bottle. I'm not sure if the plastic packaging is why it's priced lower than other premium essences.
TipWell... I wouldn't recommend using this for skin texture refinement.

The kind that flares up and gets red and irritated at the slightest touch. Since middle school, I couldn't find a solution and just learned to live with it. That was my daily reality until my senior year of high school. Then, for the first time ever, I entered a giveaway and actually won! I used the product for 7 days after receiving it. When I first applied it, it felt moisturizing, but the finish was incredibly bouncy and elastic. My skin texture noticeably improved, and I could even apply makeup without needing much moisturizer. The scent isn't strong, so it shouldn't be polarizing. If you think about mugwort while smelling it, you might catch a hint of that aroma. The texture is watery at first, but when applied, it feels sticky, bouncy, and slightly oily. It's transparent with just a tiiiny hint of yellow!
ConsTo be honest, there's nothing really bad about it. If I absolutely had to nitpick, the only thing I could say is that after applying it, my hands feel a bit slippery. But that's to be expected, as it's a characteristic of this cosmetic product.
TipIf you want to refine your skin texture, soak a cotton pad with the product and gently wipe against the grain of your skin to remove impurities. Then, wipe in the direction of your skin grain. You'll gradually see your skin texture becoming more refined.
