It seems to be good for sensitive skin! The soothing effect is excellent!
ConsDue to its watery consistency, it feels more like a toner than an essence. It's best to layer it a few times for better results.
TipIt's great to soak a cotton pad with it and leave it on your skin. It has a soothing effect and helps lower skin temperature!

You can soak a thin cotton pad and leave it on as a soothing mask (it's great for calming redness when applied to flushed cheeks). Being a water type, it absorbs well into the skin quickly. The scent is absolutely lovely - it's not artificial, but a genuine mugwort fragrance that I really enjoy.
ConsActually, when I bought this product, it came with pre-soaked pads. I wish they'd sell those separately because they're so convenient. It's a bit of a hassle to soak cotton pads myself for a mask when I'm feeling lazy... that's a shame. Using it as a toner substitute and soothing mask means you'll go through 150ml pretty quickly. If you use it often, the price can be a bit burdensome when it's not on sale.

It has a watery toner texture, but it's a deeper brown color compared to the young mugwort toner from the same line. The scent also has a bit more of a medicinal smell mixed in, haha! I personally liked this scent and enjoyed using it.
ConsThere wasn't really anything I disliked about it. If I had to pick one thing, it might be the price of 38,000 won per bottle...? But honestly, I'd invest that 38,000 won if it means I can experience this level of soothing effect!
TipHere's a great routine: Young Mugwort Toner - Three-Year-Old Mugwort Essence - Your usual serum - Young Mugwort Moisturizer

It's not overpowering, so the fragrance isn't bothersome. ✓ [Application & Absorption] It's a water-based formula without stickiness, so it applies well. It doesn't gush out of the bottle excessively when used. It absorbs quickly too. The finish is a bit sticky though. ✓ [Hydration] After using an exfoliating toner, gently pat it in with your hands. Despite its texture, it provides great hydration. If you prefer lighter products, I recommend using just one of the two.
ConsFor a soothing essence, I didn't feel much effect. I'm not sure if there's an ingredient that doesn't agree with me, but I felt a burning and tingling sensation when using it. It's also quite expensive.

The scent is subtle, like fresh herbs or mugwort? I'm usually sensitive to fragrances, but this one suits my taste well. I use it morning and night after cleansing, applying it with a cotton pad like an exfoliating toner. It doesn't cause irritation and doesn't interfere with makeup application, which I really appreciate.
ConsIt was great through winter and into spring, but as the weather's getting warmer, I'm starting to notice a bit of stickiness. I'm considering putting it away for summer and switching to a product with just hydration. Though this might be because I have combination dehydrated skin... It's closer to an essence than a toner, so it's not completely oil-free. (I've been using it as an exfoliating toner)
TipDuring dry seasons, I found that after using it as an exfoliating toner, applying an additional layer by patting it into my skin like an essence seemed to make my skin feel a bit more hydrated - though that could just be my imagination.

Really helps calm my skin. I love the soothing scent of mugwort.
ConsIt's a bit too watery for an essence. Feels more like a toner.

As I mention in my daily reviews, being someone who absolutely despises sticky textures, I find this lightweight essence formula... simply amazing. It absorbs well with just a gentle patting motion, and its non-irritating nature makes it a joy to use. The scent is a bit more intense than the young mugwort line, with a deeper mugwort fragrance that's totally my style.
ConsThe reason I deducted one star is primarily due to the price point, which isn't exactly budget-friendly. I only purchase this product when it's on sale... haha!

I love the mugwort fragrance. It's perfect for a refreshing summer skincare routine.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing for winter use. If you have dry skin, you might prefer a stickier, more viscous toner.

During my period, my skin suddenly flared up, not only with flushing but also red blotchy patches. Every skincare product except water stung and made my skin worse. On a friend's recommendation, I tried a sample, and it immediately calmed my skin. I bought the full-size product and even stocked up on two bottles during a sale. I highly recommend this for those with super sensitive skin and redness issues! It's 100% pure mugwort extract, so the scent is herbal but not unpleasant. The fragrance is actually healing, and the mugwort helps soothe and hydrate irritated skin.
ConsThe only downside is that the price-to-volume ratio always seems a bit disappointing. Although it's labeled as an essence, it feels more like a toner. This leads to using it quite liberally, which is a shame because it's expensive and should be used sparingly.
TipWhen your skin is acting up, try soaking cotton pads with this and applying them as a skin pack. It helps reduce redness and provides deep hydration. After eyebrow waxing, using this as a skin pack on cotton pads works even better for quick soothing than aloe vera.

I bought it for use during pregnancy since it's 100% mugwort extract. It absorbs cleanly and that's it! While I need extra hydration in winter, in summer it's perfect for my dry skin when used like the '3-skin method'. - Scent: I love the mugwort scent, so it's a win for me. It's a light, steeped mugwort aroma, but some might find it overwhelming. - Effects: While not dramatic, with consistent use, I love how it helps clear up minor blemishes.
ConsThe formula is so watery that I end up using a lot. However, since it's frequently on sale, stocking up makes it more cost-effective to use.
TipSince it's a 100% extract, you can feel confident using it for the '3-skin' or '7-skin' layering methods.
