  It's pretty decent overall. The texture is like a watery toner, so applying it after your regular toner feels like you're just doing a double toner application. It does seem to provide some extra hydration and deep moisture. I appreciate that it's gentle and non-irritating, which is nice. However, it doesn't have any standout features, so I probably won't repurchase at this price point. The water-like consistency without any stickiness makes it great for soaking cotton pads for a quick toner mask too.

  I'm consistently using this as my exfoliating toner because of its excellent soothing effects. The hydration after use is also great!

  Pros

  This seems like a great alternative to toner! It's hydrating and absorbs well, so I used it as a hydrating toner instead of an exfoliating one. The entire Hanyul line is wonderful. It doesn't cause any major blemishes, and it feels like it strengthens the skin barrier. In winter, you can supplement with a cream. I'm considering repurchasing since it's suitable for use all year round!

  There's not really anything to complain about, except maybe the price? I wish it came in a larger size!

  I always thought calming lines lacked hydration, but this one is moisturizing while soothing the skin effectively. On days when my skin is acting up, I use this for a skin pack, and it calms down immediately. It's the best mugwort calming line I've tried so far!

  This is a hydrating water essence. Unlike other essences with sticky textures, it feels light and comfortable, almost like a toner. Despite its lightweight feel, it provides a significant boost of hydration, which I found very satisfying! It didn't cause any irritation either. I think you'll be pleased if you use this as a gentle, basic skincare product.

  While there weren't any major drawbacks, the hydration level might be a bit lacking for winter use. Also, considering its regular price is quite high, I didn't really notice much of a soothing effect.
