ConsThe texture is quite runny, so it tends to drip a bit before application, and it seems to take a little while to absorb completely!

I really prioritize ingredients, and this product contains 85% mugwort extract instead of purified water, which made me confident in my purchase. 2. The secondary ingredients are all gentle and include components beneficial for sensitive skin (like panthenol, betaine, etc.). 3. It has a water-like texture with no oiliness, making it easy to apply lightly and it absorbs well. Great for summer use! 4. It's excellent for calming redness and blemishes. Highly recommended for sensitive and acne-prone skin! + I'm already on my third bottle!
Cons1. The downside is that due to its lightweight formula, those with dry skin might need to purchase a separate moisturizer for additional hydration. 2. When using the dropper, be careful as the water-like consistency can easily drip. Other than that, everything else is great, so I plan to keep purchasing and using it!
TipI recommend stocking up on multiple bottles during sales as the individual price point is on the higher side. For an enhanced soothing effect, try storing it in the refrigerator and applying it cool. There's a mask pack in the same line - it might be good to try that first to see if it suits your skin type!

The texture is somewhat watery, which makes it feel light on the skin rather than creamy. It absorbs well and quickly without leaving any heavy or stuffy feeling. As for effectiveness, it truly lives up to its claim as a soothing ampoule with exceptional calming properties. As someone with oily and super sensitive skin, I've noticed a significant decrease in the frequency of small bumps appearing, and it quickly soothes my skin when it feels slightly irritated. Personally, I find its soothing effect comparable to using a calming mask. With no rich feeling, it's worth trying for those with oily or sensitive skin. If you're like me with both oily and sensitive skin, you might even consider making this a staple in your routine! In terms of value for money, I think the quantity you get for the price is quite reasonable.
ConsOne slight drawback is that when using the dropper, the watery consistency makes it prone to dripping if you apply it in drops on your face. Also, while the hydration level was perfect for me, it might not feel quite as moisturizing for those used to more hydrating ampoules or those with dry skin.
TipAlthough I have oily skin, I felt this product alone didn't provide quite enough hydration. So I found that by layering my toner twice or adding extra moisture from other products, my skin's hydration levels felt perfectly balanced.

Used daily from May 16th to May 27th, both morning and night I have extremely sensitive combination skin Due to allergies, I often scratch my chin and face, and blemishes appear and disappear on the outer parts of my face, so my skin condition wasn't great * ★★★★ Rated out of 5 stars. Absorbs: ★★★★ As a serum, it has a light and clear texture like water, making it easier to apply than aloe gel. Absorbs well: ★★★★ My skin was in such poor condition that it desperately needed soothing. It absorbed well whether applied directly over aloe gel or mixed with oil. Hydration: ★★★★ My skin was very dry, so I always start with aloe+oil as a base no matter what emulsion or cream I use. When applied on top of this, it feels less tight than a hydrating emulsion. Pilling: ★ There's no noticeable pilling. Oil and moisture balance: ★★ Although it's called a spot treatment for soothing, it's a water-type formula with a generous amount. I used it liberally all over my face as I needed overall soothing. It's less sticky and absorbs faster than the usual aloe gel used for soothing or itching.
ConsSoothing effect: ★★ I'm not sure if it really soothes even when applied generously to irritated areas. Non-troubled areas feel extremely dry, while troubled areas feel slightly better. The serum is so runny that it's difficult to apply directly on blemishes. Longevity: ★★ Honestly, I can't really tell about the longevity since I mixed it with oil. On areas where I applied it alone, like between my hands and elbows, it absorbs completely and feels no different from bare skin. It actually feels powdery after absorption. I think I'll use this as a light moisturizer in summer and only on troubled areas in winter. Packaging: ★ The opaque container makes it impossible to see how much product is left. A pump dispenser would be better than the dropper.
TipIt's not sufficient for managing blemishes, but it's good for calming slight white dead skin cells around the mouth, chin, and arms. If you have combination to dry skin, mix it with a rich cream, emulsion, or oil before applying. For blemishes, mix it with a hydrating gel or aloe that has better staying power.

Sensitive, acne-prone (extremely reactive to cosmetic ingredients, water quality, and even cleansing products can cause small blemishes). • Skin was in turmoil due to menstrual breakouts. • Simultaneously struggling with severe deep dryness despite excess oil. * The texture feels like a water-based formula but with a slight viscosity, giving the impression of better moisture retention. * Usually, products that don't suit my skin cause small blemishes, but this didn't happen, suggesting good ingredients. * While not dramatically noticeable, it seems to provide a subtle calming effect when applied at night and observed the next morning. * It doesn't work miracles overnight, but the gradual improvement suggests gentler ingredients, which I appreciate. (I've experienced products with harsh ingredients that show quick results but only temporarily) * Initially thought it was pricey, but the bottle is larger than expected, making it good value for an ampoule product.
Cons* While it flows like water, it's not entirely liquid. When applied, there's a slight oily viscosity that seems to lock in moisture better. However, if not absorbed properly, it can feel like it's sitting on the skin. So thorough absorption is key. It's not the fastest-absorbing product. * Those with already healthy skin might not notice significant effects. * The dark color of the upper part of the bottle makes it impossible to see how much product is left.
Tip☆ For dehydrated skin, when using mineral sunscreen during the day, apply a thin layer of ampoule followed by a light emulsion or moisturizer to prevent tightness. However, with a hydrating chemical sunscreen, just 1-2 layers of ampoule feels lighter on the skin! ☆ For oily skin, regardless of sunscreen type, you might be fine with just 1-2 thin layers of ampoule without emulsion or moisturizer. ☆ Dry skin will definitely benefit from layering other products on top. ☆ Applying multiple thin layers works better than one thick layer to prevent product from sitting on the skin. ☆ Patting the product in works better for absorption than spreading! => This advice is based on summer weather as it's getting warmer now!

I'm so grateful to have had the chance to try the Spot Saver Mugwort Ampoule as part of The Hwahae Testers. It's said to calm the skin, and I couldn't agree more! The formula has a clear, transparent color with a thin consistency, somewhere between a toner and an essence. When I put it on the back of my hand, it glides smoothly. The dropper applicator makes it hygienic to use. Applying it to my sensitive, blemish-prone face felt refreshing and cool, which was amazing. I noticed improved skin elasticity and a nice glow too. It absorbs quickly without any stickiness, and there's a subtle mugwort scent. At 32,000 won for 50ml, it's especially effective when applied to specific areas. I love that it's made with Ganghwa Mugwort extracted drop by drop using the Time Drop method, which makes me feel even more confident using it.
ConsThe consistency is a bit too thin and runny. I wish it was slightly thicker.
TipI found it works best when applied all over the face, with an extra layer on blemish-prone areas. This seems to speed up the calming process significantly.

After gently massaging and patting it in, it sinks into the skin without any stickiness. The soothing effect is top-notch - I'm on my second day of use, and I can really feel the calming benefits when my skin is irritated or dry. I might be imagining it, but there seems to be a slight cooling effect too. Plus, I've noticed a significant reduction in my small blemishes!
ConsWhile there aren't major downsides, if I had to nitpick, the texture is a bit runny which can be inconvenient. It might feel tight and dry in winter. The watery consistency is a personal preference thing, so just keep in mind it might not be ideal for winter use. However, it's great for spring and fall!
