The subtle fragrance brings a sense of calm (I usually avoid products with added fragrances, but when my skin is distressed, this somehow provides comfort). 2. It has a soothing effect and lightly replenishes moisture (for combination dehydrated skin). 2-1. Especially for calming redness and addressing issues that aren't related to dead skin cells or hydration, I find using this (focusing on problem areas & all over) along with a mugwort cream (just on spots) works well for me.
Cons1. It doesn't have an extraordinary soothing effect. I've had a journey from acne-prone skin to using acne products, which led to dry, sensitive, and red skin. After dermatological treatments, my skin became extremely sensitive and irritated - I could only use aloe gel. Then I discovered Hwahae and started trying samples of products without ingredients that don't suit me or are harmful, gradually finding what works. Now, when I find a brand that suits me, I stick to their products. (Even within a brand, I'll use samples multiple times to ensure compatibility.) I've been using ISNTREE and Etude Soon Jung for several years, and my skin has become much healthier. 2. It's expensive. That's why I bought it during ISNTREE's brand week on Hwahae, using coupons and points. They used to have big sales on their official website regularly, but lately, even their occasional sales are only 20-30% off, which I find a bit... well, it feels expensive to me.
TipWell, I seem to have mixed my thoughts above... If you have super sensitive skin like me, I recommend trying samples or the smallest size of any brand to find products that work for 'you' personally. (Don't be swayed by criteria like 'This is famous' or 'This sells well' or 'This is supposed to be effective'. Of course, you can try if it doesn't have ingredients that don't suit you or any harmful ingredients, and if Hwahae reviews from people with similar skin types are positive. I once tried a sample of a famous brand's cica cream and had an allergic reaction like a bee sting, even though the ingredients seemed fine...)

ConsThe texture is quite runny, so it tends to drip a bit before application, and it seems to take a little while to absorb completely!

ConsI can't really think of any downsides... Maybe if you don't like the smell of mugwort, you might not enjoy it? That's about it.

The product seems gentle enough for all skin types to use without causing blemishes.
ConsIt feels a bit light, so those with dry skin might need to use an additional moisturizer!

I've used two bottles and I'm leaving a review because I really like it. As someone who dislikes skincare products with fragrance, I appreciated that this one is unscented. It's so hydrating that applying it once is enough.
ConsI thought the glass bottle might be heavy, and while it's not convenient for travel, it actually gives the impression that the product inside is healthier? That's my way of looking at the bright side!
TipYou can apply it to your whole face just by dropping some from the dropper onto your cheeks

The texture is somewhat watery, which makes it feel light on the skin rather than creamy. It absorbs well and quickly without leaving any heavy or stuffy feeling. As for effectiveness, it truly lives up to its claim as a soothing ampoule with exceptional calming properties. As someone with oily and super sensitive skin, I've noticed a significant decrease in the frequency of small bumps appearing, and it quickly soothes my skin when it feels slightly irritated. Personally, I find its soothing effect comparable to using a calming mask. With no rich feeling, it's worth trying for those with oily or sensitive skin. If you're like me with both oily and sensitive skin, you might even consider making this a staple in your routine! In terms of value for money, I think the quantity you get for the price is quite reasonable.
ConsOne slight drawback is that when using the dropper, the watery consistency makes it prone to dripping if you apply it in drops on your face. Also, while the hydration level was perfect for me, it might not feel quite as moisturizing for those used to more hydrating ampoules or those with dry skin.
TipAlthough I have oily skin, I felt this product alone didn't provide quite enough hydration. So I found that by layering my toner twice or adding extra moisture from other products, my skin's hydration levels felt perfectly balanced.

I bought it after a YouTuber highly recommended it, and I'm so glad I did. It's not too sticky or heavy, absorbs well into the skin, and isn't too watery either. The hydration lasts long after application. Amazingly, it calmed my irritated skin from wearing masks in just a week - incredible! The scent is pleasant and natural too.
ConsFor those with oily or combination dehydrated skin, it might feel a bit heavy for summer use, which is a shame. I wish the price was a bit more affordable, but maybe that's asking too much?

The consistency is just right, making it easy to use.
ConsUnfortunately, when I apply this, I get small bumps or my existing bumps turn into inflamed blemishes... I bought two bottles during a buy-one-get-one-free deal. The I'm From Mugwort mask worked well for me, so I'm puzzled why this ampoule doesn't suit my skin at all.
TipThe mugwort mask is more effective for soothing the skin.

It's a typical watery ampoule. The more layers you apply, there's a very slight stickiness that builds up! -Scent I quite liked the subtle mugwort fragrance. It might be a love-or-hate thing for some, but it's very faint and doesn't linger, so I don't think it would bother most people!
Cons-Dropper You need quite a bit of product to cover your face adequately, but even when I pull the dropper to its maximum, it only draws up about half the amount shown in the photo. It's disappointing that I can't cover my entire face in one go. *There's something that could be seen as either a pro or a con: For my skin, there weren't any major issues, but there weren't any significant benefits either. It felt rather neutral, if you will...? While it doesn't harm my skin, so I continue using it, I haven't noticed any remarkable hydration, soothing of redness, or reduction in flushing. Since I was hoping for more noticeable effects, I'm not feeling a strong urge to repurchase. However, I would recommend this to those looking for a gentle product!
TipI think using this along with the toner pads and cream from the same line would make for a great summer skincare routine! It worked well for me without any irritation.
